I keep coming back to Larson Electronics because of the harsh-environment lighting units they sell. Though extremely expensive, the quality can’t be beat. Shipping is fast. I only gave them two stars because their website is absolutely horrible. It’s hard to find products because it is so poorly organized. Want an infrared LED light bar? Good luck sifting through the pages, inconveniently sorted by price, and not brightness or other more useful attributes. The product names are not consistent, even within product families. You have one product called«Infrared LED Light Bar — 20IR LEDs 60 Watts…» and another called«60 Watt Infrared LED Headlight — 20IR LEDs.» Same base product, size, shape, etc. The only difference? One is a spotlight and one is a floodlight. They could REALLYUSE a web designer, and someone to proofread their copy.

I’m happy with: –the product I’ve purchased –the fast shipping –the fact that their online purchasing/order system provided me with a «Notes» text-field .so I could type a message to the sales team during ordering(you don’t see that [yet?] from or most other online retailers!) I’m not happy with: –the direct-mail marketing postcard(junk mail) I received recently –my email to both«sales» and a Mr. Bresnahan… being completely ignored Brief outline of events: –18dec11, placed an order(Order #49616). Within this order, I added the«Note» “Do not add my postal address to direct-mail, catalog lists, or marketing of any kind” –1jan12, received a ‘survey’ from Rob Bresnahan asking ‘Overall, how was you experience?’ («you experience», not«your experience») ;) I answered: very satisfied, since I was impressed by the ordering process allowing me to provide comments/notes during the ordering process(I wish all of them did!) –5oct12, received my first EMAIL from Larson Electronics LLC, via ConstantContact. Fine. email doesn’t bother me –and doesn’t impact the environment as much as postal-direct-mail marketing does! ~22oct12, noticed Postcard from Larson Electronics LLC addressed with postal endorsement: «or Current Resident». That endorsement is the USPS’s «golden ticket» to ‘spam’ you with junk mail forever and you can do absoluetly nothing to stop it. –23oct12, I sent email to and to Rob Bresnahan pointing out that they did exactly what I intended to prevent… added my postal address to list(s) that will result in an endless stream of junk mail, that I can do nothing to stop. I asked that all of my information be removed from their systems and their 3rd-party ‘affiliates’ (wich I believe would be ConstantContact, USPS, DMA?, and who knows how many others). This email was completely ignored. — — – Is any of this a big deal? No, of course not. Should emails from past customers(potentially repeat customers) be ignored? Probably not. Was my initial request honored? Apparently not. If Larson Electronics is unable or unwilling to honor my simple request, I wonder what else they’re unable or unwilling to do for their customers? Keep my experience in mind should you decide to do business with Larson Electronics LLC. Should I hear from Larson Electronics LLC, I’ll be happy to update/amend this review. I just think it’s wrong for a company to ignore a request that my postal address not be added to marketing list(s), and to ignore my attempt at contacting them.
