TAKE OUT WAITER

We have used «Take Out Waiter» aka
in the past and have received acceptable 3 star service. However, tonight we decided to stay in and order from their posted menu from the Tuscany Bistro (Roadhouse) as it was labeled. I placed the order at 7:00pm with an immediate notification that it would be delivered before 8:20. Charges were in order and I tipped handsomely for «expect» service. At 8:45 came a knock on my door and lo and behold it twas the driver holding a bag out to me from LOGAN’s. He spun around and POOF was gone with no explanation or concerns. I did stop him and ask why so late and he advised that there was but 2 drivers tonight. That I can understand… not necessarily accept but understand.
We pulled our food from the bag to find it cold. It was not Tuscany Bistro quality but rather Logan’s typical warmed up frozen foods. Please note that Logan’s is approximately one half of a mile from our home so no reason for cold food. Actually a terrible meal. Needless to say I was very much upset. I took a look at my emailed receipt and noted that it stated Tuscany Bistro was the restaurant not Logan’s.
I placed a call to Lets Eat and was greeted by the owner. I explained what had transpired and advised her that I had compared the menus from Logan’s, Tuscany Bistro, and online at Lets Eat to find that they all three had different pricing and of course I paid the higher of all three.
Very simple… Terrible service!

My experience with Take Out Waiter was TERRIBLE. It’s such a shame too, as I had hoped to use them regularly.
On Sunday night I made an order from Tequlia Booms thorugh their service. When the order was 30 minutes late, I did receive a call from the delivery driving saying they were running behind.
I said to them, that’s fine, I’m patient, but please make sure I’m not delivered old food, I want fresh food as this food is going to be over an hour and a half old. I was told ‘No problem, of course we will make sure your food is fresh.‘
An hour later, the delivery driver shows up with a bag of food, with open containers with food being rained on. I said ‘Wait!, this isn’t right! Why is my food is OPEN and I am missing a lot of my order’…the delivery driver simply ran off shouting over her shoulder that she’d have her manager call me.
A few minutes later I received a call form Take Out Waiter saying that it was basically not their problem if the food is rained on, late and stone cold. It had actually set out waiting to be delivered so long that the guacamole had oxidixed and turned brown on top.
They said they would at least remove the charge for the food that had not been delivered at all, and remove the delivery charge and tip. Theys aid there was nothing they could do about cold food, old food, or rained on food.
Today, the full charge remains on my statement, unadjusted.
I was charged for food that was not received. I was charged for food that was received over an hour late. I was charged for food that was rained on due to the delivery waiter not making sure the lid was closed.
I tried calling the main line and speaking to the owner of the company, she was no help and basically provided ZERO customer service.
If my account is eventually credited, I will adjust this review.
Avoid this company at all cost!

In contrast to the other reviewers, we had a very good experience with Take Out Waiter. For our family member’s birthday, Take Out Waiter was able to deliver the food on a Sunday morning, whereas the other business we contacted was not open on Sunday mornings. The food was from one of our favorite places, Red River BBQ. The food was delivered on time and was hot, and the driver was friendly and polite.
The previous evening before the BBQ delivery, we had some guests in and decided to use Take Out Waiter then as well. We chose food from a Mexican food restaurant, and the order arrived before the scheduled delivery time, and we were happy with the quality of the food.
Because we did business with them twice, Take Out Waiter gave us two vouchers for free delivery service to use in the future. Even without the vouchers, their delivery prices are very low — I don’t think you could ask for a less expensive delivery service. (I believe the fee is $ 3.99 if you place the order online, or $ 4.99 if you place the order over the phone, plus gratuity.)
We will continue to use Take Out Waiter and hope they stay in business, as they are great when you can’t get out to pick up your own food or for parties or house guests.

I think Take Out waiter was a brilliant idea. I love it. I use it all the time especially when I am at work alone (when I can not leave the office to get lunch). The delivery time is a little longer than if you ordered pizza but besides that I love it.

Take out waiter, sounds like a good idea BUT they delivery service is horrible. It’s a Food Delivery business that takes 2 – 3 hours to deliver Food.
Don’t order from them. The food takes too long to deliver. The customer service is horrible. The food is delivered luke warn/​cold.
