The Gym is an adequate facility, however trying to cancel my membership has proved to be a nightmare. I called to stop my membership, Plain and simple, I could no longer afford the pricy monthly membership. After talking to several employees that seemed to have no idea what was going on, I was referred to an outside company. According to peAk the outside company was supposed to be capable of canceling my membership. After talking to the outside company I was assured that my membership had Been canceled, and only one more charge would be added(30 day notice clause.) I expected to only pay one more time for March and that be that, as assured by the trail of information peak had given me. Imagine my surprise in May when I notice my cancelled membership to peak performance still drafting money from my account for not one additional month but three. The SECOND time I contacted the office the stop my membership they gave me a completely different story, none of the employees had any idea about an outside company, or why I was referred to one. The less than friendly staff member said that all I needed to do was to send an email to a lady named Carroll Jones, and she would take care of the problem from there. After corresponding with Mrs Jones through the corse of several emails on why I had been given misinformation on so many occasions, she suddenly recollected the outside company I had been pawned off on to start with. She said I once again had to contact them in regards to my extra charges, but that my membership had FINALLY been canceled. When I contacted the outside company for the second time, they conveniently had no record of me ever calling(which seems to be a reoccurring theme with this business), despite me providing the exact date and person I talked to. I thought to myself«Fine take and EXTRATHREEMONTHS of my money, at least I’m done with it finally.» Or so I thought. Today I was contacted by yet another outside company for a final $ 50 close out fee. Good Grief. In closing if you value honesty and customer service from a place you wish to do business with, id recommend you to to any gym but this one. I’ve never in my life been been led in so many direction as a distraction to keep pocketing my money. However it is a pretty slick way to earn money without actually rendering services.

I looked this place up bc of a Groupon, to try for my 9yr old son. First thing is — groupon or advertised 3 workout trial and free gloves/workout gear is a scam. After the first workout, they pull you into a side room for a high pressure sales presentation for 6mos of training. If you buy in it’s the price they told you, if you don’t right that moment you pay much more. And the insinuation is that your 3 workout trial is over — 1 workout in. Secondly, the kid program we saw is not MMA, but almost solely BJJ. Which is fine, but not what we were looking for. The trainer will tell you anything to get you to sign the contract, in our case taking a pen and marking several changes on the printed contract. Third, you absolutely can not call the place and get ahold of anyone. They have an answering service, which is evidently intentional. I had to drive all the way back down there and speak speak specifically with the trainer who signed us up that after two practices we’d decided to go another route. I had my contract, he took it back to talk to somebody, then told us they’d refund/cancel — no problem. We gave back the free equipment, but they either aren’t capable of cancelling the monthly charge or hope we miss it, as I now spend time every month with Amex disputing the monthly charge they keep running thru. Good news is — only three more months of fighting this!

If you are looking to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu(BJJ) in Keller this is the place to go. I was over at Buffalo Wild Wings down the street watching the UFC on a business trip and ran in to Paul the owner and his Muay Thai(kick boxing) instructor there. I was stocked cause I had see Paul compete at the BJJ worlds before and do really well. So i really wanted to get a roll on there. I was really impressed with the facilities there. They are a full on Mixed Martial Arts(MMA) gym there. Place is top notch and i know cause I live in LA the home of MMA in the USA. If this gym was in LA is would be top notch. So i was really happy to get my train on there. I been training Gracie Jiu Jitsu for 17 years. I’m a black belt. I know my gyms. Ill be back here for sure. If you are in the Keller area i suggest you check it out. They have a free training deal to try it out and they didnt charge me a dime to train there. Good People. PS. The wings Buffalo Wild Wings just ok. But thats my next review.
