Oh my we love this place! It’s our go to breakfast place. The food is great and it’s great to go to a place that knows you! They do a lot for our community and I encourage all to support our local small businesses especially the ones like Maddie & Mommies!

Not worth the hype. Overcooked bacon. Overcooked onion rings. I was charged for a side of ranch. Gravy was powdery and had alot of melted butter in it like it wasn’t mixed well. Service was good, they were very nice. But I wasn’t impressed with the food.

I love the old fashioned building and style. The food is always pretty good when I go as well. I need to try some of their coffee and desserts. Really homey feel and home style food as well. I had a Blt the last time I was there the sand which was good and the fries mediocre.

I was really expecting better because of several reviews touting the food here as «amazing» and the«best in town». Not exactly my experience. We came in and were told to seat ourselves. The only seat for my two daughters and me was a high-top table. Awkward seating, especially for little kids. We watched an elderly couple come in and struggle to get into the other high-top that was available. Their legs were dangling. They didn’t look comfortable at all. We waited quite a while for the waitress to get to us. This place clearly has their regulars. The two waitresses spent a lot of time chatting with them. We were given menus and water and the waitress walked away without asking if I wanted any coffee. A different waitress then came by to take our orders a little while later. I finally got my coffee. I ordered the corned beef hash. My girls had the pancake meal, a cinnamon roll, eggs, and toast. My hash was sort of… soggy. Frozen hash browns heated up but not crispy, with green bell pepper and sliced corned beef mixed in, topped with some sausage gravy that I am pretty sure was from a can(was eerily similar to canned gravy we used to serve when I worked at a nursing home). My older daughter was complaining about the cinnamon roll and I kept telling her she just wasn’t used to «real» homemade ones. But then I tasted it. It tasted stale. She ate the toast, which was just regular thin slices of sandwich bread. Nothing special there, either. My other daughter liked her pancake and bacon, of course. She’s three. But she refused to eat the scrambled eggs after one bite, and she normally likes eggs. The one thing that was nice about this place is the price. At least I didn’t overpay for food I can get at Denny’s. It was worth a try, but it’s not my kind of place. Guess we will stick to Salem’s few other breakfast offerings for now.

Pretty good food, but unnecessarily greasy. Nice service, friendly staff. Cute place, nicely set up. The restaurant isn’t very clean… Dirty baseboards, the on– table coffee menu was gross, as was the jam holder. Restrooms also not very clean, doesn’t look like the inside of the toilet had been scrubbed in several days. When a restaurant’s dining areas haven’t been deep cleaned, it makes me wonder what the kitchen is like. Probably won’t go there again. 3 stars was probably generous.

Solid, but basic food. Breakfast is decent with consistent quality. Nothing special, however. As for atmosphere, while the old house is neat, it’s hard, flat surfaces reflect a lot of sound. Gets pretty loud with just a handful of groups. I understand the omelets and cinnamon rolls are very big and decent. French toast was decent and edible. Scrambled eggs were fresh and fluffy with the appropriate amount of moisture and good texture. If you’re a yogurt fan, don’t bother. They don’t have any. One nice thing is that it’s a family business. Husband and wife team of Alex and Cherish run the business. Alex cooks and Cherish waits tables. Their daughter Keira pitches in to help. If you can get right in, then it’s worth it. If you have to wait, go somewhere else.

*A simple old fashioned home and genial atmosphere, with what always seems like home-cooked food, and I like that! I have had breakfast and lunch here at least 6 times in the past two months, and was never disappointed. As a matter of fact, everything I have ordered has been delicious, and fresh. *Service was prompt and courteous. *No loud music blaring in the background, thank-goodness! *You can bring your kids here, meet a friend, conduct a business talk, or just come by yourself for a quiet meal — I have experienced all of these, with great satisfaction.(At peak times there will be a higher level of chat noise, and the server will have more people to serve.) *The price is not cheap, nor expensive — more of a mid range price menu. I do not really like fast food chains, so I am willing to pay a dollar more for a fresh wholesome sandwich. The $ 3.00 Oregon Chai is delicious(my sister says it is a bit too much on the sweet side) and the $ 3.00 cinnamon rolls are worth consuming the calories. I like the Maddi Burger, and LOVE the homemade soups, especially the split pea soup. *This is not a fancy place, but it is clean and neat. I like the casual ambiance. If you like fresh, delicious home cooked food, a small casual dining area, reasonable prices, relatively calm atmosphere, then give this establishment your business. If you are looking for fancy, glossy, loud, bar-like, contemporary, go somewhere else. I personally like this place very much, and hope it will retain its small town feel.

Wow, what a great find!!! Cherish and Alex have the best breakfast restaurant that I have ever had the privilege of going too. I was in Keizer for a week visiting my brother and he turned me on to Mommy & Maddi’s. The corn beef hash is outstanding… can not wait to come back! Great job guys!!! Larry from Las Vegas

I love that they have a combination of big plates and smaller portions! Sometimes you’ll go to a breakfast place and their portions are too big. This place has a wide selection so you can choose what you’re in the mood for. Reasonable prices too! I’ve always had great, friendly service. Definitely a place I’ll come back to!

Decent solid breakfast, pancakes, waffles, nice crispy bacon. Help was nice, restaurant looked nice, everything clean. But it was not special enough to warrant going out of my way to return. There was something missing atmosphere wise that I can’t put my finger on that makes me not excited to go back, even though the food was decent. It felt like they catered to senior citizens, judging by who else was there and the simplicity of the menu items.

Such a wonderful place to eat. Great selection of food all around, great service. We are from California headed home and the place felt like home. I highly recommend this place! You won’t be disappointed thank you very much!

Hands down best breakfast in the Salem Keizer area. On almost every occasion, i order the corn beef hash combo. Half order is more than enough, feeling brave go for the full order. One of the few places that serves Tully’s coffee. Service is always friendly and has never got my order wrong. Yes, i can be high maintenance when it comes to how i like my eggs cooked. I put my parents onto this spot and they love it.

Had breakfast with a friend. The atmosphere is pleasant. Nice clean dining area. A little cramped but still comfortable. I had the Ham and Eggs breakfast. It was very good. Tasted fresh a was hot. I added a side of gravy and that too was good. I know that, as Americans, we like a value but I would have been just as am happy with two eggs, instead of three, and ½ the hash browns. We got a cinnamon roll to go and it was fantastic! We liked that they include the icing on the side so everyone can get just the amount they want. As they are within walking distance from my house I can see my wife and I making this a regular weekend breakfast event.

Huge portions, and awesome breakfast foods. Their bloody marys are even better then the bar next to it.

Ok food, definitely not worth the 90-minute wait. We watched tables all around us get up and leave without their meals because the restaurant was so understaffed and overwhelmed(we stuck it out only because my spouse is exceptionally stubborn). In the end we paid $ 60 for meh food(two adult and two kid meals) and a cinnamon roll that tasted about two weeks old. The waitress told us the crowd size was really unusual, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and say my experience probably would’ve been a lot better on a different day. Still, I didn’t see(or taste) anything that would make me want to come back.

Outstanding, I had the #17 Daddy’s chicken fried steak. It was excellent. My girlfriend had the short stack buttermilk pancakes. The place is like going to grandmas house. The waitress was wonderfully polite. Our food came out quickly and was cooked to perfection. I didn’t even need to add ketchup to my hashbrowns. It is a step way above any of the chain breakfast restaurants. Moderately priced, and well worth it. They do a great job.

The inside is very dinnerish feeling and not my favorite inside… With that said. The foods is great, the waitress was very nice, friendly, and close by if needed but not hovering. Both my friend and I enjoyed the atmosphere and that we didn’t feel pressured to eat and get out for breakfast. We sat and drank a lot of coffee. Great place to catch up with friends… And is sooooooooo much better then ihop or Denny’s. Barf!
