Quite possibly my favorite store ever! It’s a must for us any time in Lake Placid. An incredible collection of Adirondack vibes that is a great mix of antique and new pieces. While many things are expensive(as they should be since they are so nice) there are plenty of neat items that are very reasonable, so there is no excuse not to leave here with something! We’ve bought everything from art to a coat rack and couldn’t be happier with them. While there are classically nice antiques, they make many of the items themselves which are beautiful with clever design. The owner(I think?) is incredibly nice and his whole look perfectly matches his store. This store makes me want to move to the mountains immediately!

Very cool to browse, even if you don’t buy anything you should totally stop in. Such cool items here — an excellently curated store!

Fun home goods with a more authentic vibe than Anthropologie.

What a wonderful treat to see American craftsmanship and pride in an age where foreign tends to dominate. Dartbrook Rustic Goods was yet another highlight of my recent trip to Lake Placid. Their work and their shop is unbelievable. If you are at all a fan of the Adirondack style, this must be from where the Mother Ship launches and returns. If you are not a fan, you will be after seeing their gorgeous creations be it day beds, bunk beds, tables, chairs, furniture-you get it! :))) All their furniture is made on the premises in the back and if you do not see something on the floor and need a custom piece, that is totally doable. I would like for them to build me a cabin and furnish it… The building in which they are housed once served as the Keene General Store and they have kept its spirit alive and well with careful attention to detail and keeping the integrity of the old whole giving it a modern twist. Just loved it. Maybe I can move in and save them the trouble of building that cabin??? ;))) Or perhaps the little building in the back… ~sigh~ Look at my pictures! There is no such thing as a bad angle here.
