The food is fine. This is just a ripoff of the Five Guys restaurant chain. My biggest issue with this restaurant is that you have to get a key from an employee to us the restroom.

Great place to get a burger. It reminds me of growing up and the drive ins we would go to in Idaho by the lake. Just plain and simple but really good. Fries are fresh cut and you can’t go wrong with that. The shakes are delicious and we have never had to wait long for our burgers. Only thing I don’t like is the location and the color. Looks to much like a 5 guys and I like windows and they have none. again nothing to cry about because the food and customer service is good.

Meh. Frozen burger patties(neither handmade nor fresh), canned cheese sauce, kraft singles cheese slices, generic hot dogs. Service was good and we did go on a busy day, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that they were out of their fresh stock(although, on second thought, if they were, nothing was said to us during our ordering), but I was less than impressed. A step above fast food for sure, but not a big one in my opinion.

Updated Review: Wow, lets talk about NE Burger real quick. The place that I used to absolutely love. Hell, I’ve checked in here multiple times and there was a lot of times that I didn’t check in because I was too eager to eat that I didn’t even want to touch my phone. The burgers have decreased in quality and it’s very noticeable. I’ve brought friends and family members into this place trying to show them that it truly was ground breaking, but recently it just all collapsed on itself. The burgers are now in my opinion too expensive for how they actually taste and are presented. The toppings look like they’re always slopped on to the burger and they will be exploding outside of the burger, making it so you have to slop it all back on to the burger itself. I’ve tried other items recently there as well to diversify my stance on all the food and I’m not impressed with that either. The biggest being their chili cheese fries. It almost seems that they took generic american cheese and some generic chili out of a can and then just warmed up both and put it on some fries. I’m not sure if the cooks have changed and been replaced, or if no one really cares about their jobs anymore. It’s sad to see though. I’m dropping my 5 star rating to a 2 star rating. Here’s hoping that they improve in the future. Original Review(5 Stars): Wake up Kearney, there’s a new king in town and his name is NE Burger. The restaurant is a little small but they make up for it in taste with all of their food. Offering burgers, hot dogs, and more. You want a bacon cheese dog? They can make it. Want sauteed onions on your burger? Deal. Fresh onions instead. Fine with them. All toppings are completely free and they’ll make sure it all fits on there. When you order your food you’re greated with fast and courteous staff that always have a smile. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the chef himself delivered my food to the table. Every meal comes in a brown bag and is perfectly presented. You open the bag and you’re presented with the best burger in town. Its my opinion on the best burger but I can tell you that I’ve had burgers at every place in town and no place even compares. They say they cook all they burgers well done, but one thing that sets them really apart is that the burgers are still super juicy and not dried out at all. Even though with construction going on I can still see this place being flooded with people. There just is no competitor that can even match this level of quality. Its a PHENOMENAL addition to Kearney and I encourage everyone to try it out.
