Denny’s

Today was a break or make trip to Denny’s for me. The last 2 times my family and I went to this Denny’s we had bad experiences but because I like the food choices and the prices I was very willing to give them another chance but it was the last one. We were promptly seated and our waitress took our drink order and delivered promptly as well. I was so shocked when the waitress from our last bad visit came to our table and apologized for our last visit! The service was exemplary and they went above and beyond and definitely won me back with their customer service.

I’ll start off by says, I will NEVER come back to this establishment again. My waitress seemed to have no real experience serving. She spent her time eating in the back, I know this because of where I was sitting. She whipped her mouth with her sleeve, instead of a napkin. Never washed her hads, then came to the table grabbing my glass by the rim for a refill. She was digging in her hair before bringing out my food. When my food was brought out it was ice cold. I then asked for a manager, and when I did I got attitude from the server. Oh did I mention I’m 5months pregnant, and a server myself.

Why are you reading reviews for a Denny’s? It’s a Denny’s, like every other Denny’s you have ever been to. It’s a little newer, the service is great, but the food is very Denny’s. My business partner and I got sick after eating here once, so I always for scrambled eggs now instead of over easy. Coffee is ok, the staff are good folks. Lots of locals eat here because it’s one of the only breakfast places around.

This place is the very definition of adequate. It is not great, but it has never been bad. It is a good choice when we want food and everything else is closed. The service is also adequate. Not stellar, but it was never horrible. A little slower than we would have liked at times. What can I say besides «meh.»

Unfortunately there is not much to choose from in Kaufman so we end up with Denny’s as our only choice.
This place has gone down hill so much.
Let’s start by walking through a cloud of cigarette smoke right by the front door from the waitresses standing out front smoking. Have even seen one of them flick the butt on the ground.
On another night the manager on duty was dressed very unprofessional. She looked like she was going to a hole in the wall bar.
Another occasion had old lipstick on my glass. They acted like it was no big deal. That did it for me.
We will drive 20 minutes to the next town for IHOP breakfast from now on.

I’m not one to typically eat at Denny’s but someone suggested we meet there for a business transaction and the food wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I wasn’t counting calories on this particular day so I tried out their brownie sundae dessert — not bad. Then I tried one of their hamburgers and you have your choice of two types of fries. The hamburger wasn’t bad but I left the fries — they were hot, but didn’t have much flavor. No complaints on the service. Our waitress was very nice and she checked on us several times.

The cook apparently doesn’t know what over easy eggs means. Waitress was horrible. Never checked on me so i could tell her order was incorrect. Never got refill.

We used to stop here occasionally, but the service has deteiorated to the point that we walked out before placing our drink order. we had been waiting for our waiter to return over five minutes on a slow afternoon!
Hopefully they will straighten out their problems before they alienate many more good customers.

This Denny’s has always been good to me. My wife and I visit this establishment regularly and have never had any issues. The food has always been great and the service even better! The place is usually pretty packed and normally there is no wait for a place to sit.

My fiancé and I used to come here all of the time, until I found a bug in my water. It was disgusting. I would not recommend it to anyone. The manager was rude and asked me how it got there. We did not want to deal with it anymore so we left.

Had my normal build your own omelet (bacon, ham, sausage, and cheddar cheese) and a belgian waffle. Food and service were good. I do like their dark coffee, when they have it.

My husband and I were hungry the other evening and decided we’d go to Subway. When we got there, they were out of bread (seriously!), and not wanting to hold lettuce in our hands, we went to the other side of the highway to go to Denny’s. The parking lot was PACKED and so was the restaurant — yet we were seated in about 30 seconds. Our waitress was on the ball. Very personable, real, and super helpful despite having throngs of tables to tend to.
She got our orders exactly right, but the kitchen didn’t follow through on my «no cheese» request on the ultimate grill order I made. I didn’t notice the cheese at first, because it was hiding under the egg. As I encroached to the center, I discovered cheese melted on everything.
Our waitress apologized profusely and since we were sitting close to the entrance of the kitchen, we could hear her professionally handle this with the cooks. She did such a great job and I got my order quickly — and accurately — and it was piping hot very quickly.
The food is pretty good for the price. The service is unbeatable.
