I needed a temporary storage unit for all of my excess junk during my move. I ended up renting a small non climate controlled space for two months. The employees were very friendly and helpful. They even informed me of a special they were running where you get the second month free. They require you to have renters insurance, about 8 dollars a month. Not sure if this is the norm at most places as I haven’t needed a storage unit in years. It may be covered under your homeowners insurance, but it was easier for me to just pay the renters insurance as it was a short term rental. My only complaint would be that after two months the floor was covered with dead crickets. My furniture and boxes had also become home to a quite a few live spiders. But this is Texas, so I guess its to be expected. All in all, I don’t think you would have any real issues at Uncle Bob’s if you need a storage unit in the Katy area.
