Trader Joe’s

I love Trader Joe’s! The produce is fresh and reasonably priced, friendly service, clean and always organized. I also like that the stores aren’t very big. Although you may not be able to find all of your groceries there, you can find most of it!
The snack shack had paneer tikka masala with spinach basmati rice during my visit today and it was so good and full of flavor! I would definitely recommend this frozen meal from here. I haven’t tried any other frozen meals from Trader Joe’s, but since this one was so good I will more than likely be trying some of other options they have.

First impression: Smaller and more affordable version of a Whole Food Market. There are not many big national branded products on the shelves. There are a lot of Trader Joe’s products and unknown brands (in my case) are stocked instead. Also, there are not a million selections of the same product to choose from which is fine for me. I like things simple, a whole aisle of cereals give me a headache. I love the snacks, sweets, and frozen foods sections due to lots of exotic products (to me) that are not seen in the usual supermarkets. Trader’s Joe would be my main grocery store if one is located in my neighborhood.

This Trader Joe’s is just like the other Trader Joe’s I’ve been to. They have quality produce, reasonable prices, a great selection and wonderful customer service. I enjoy shopping here and I’m in this store weekly.
Even though they’re pretty good, I typically stay away from the pre-​made foods and go for the fresh produce, salad mixes, bottled water and frozen seafood. I do make a point to stop by the sample table though. Their selection is so good that many weeks, I do all my grocery shopping here.
Parking is decent even though this TJ’s is located in the busy La Centerra shopping center. There are a few times where I’ve had to park in the garage, but it’s no big deal. With Bernie’s Burger Bus open now, parking might become more scarce in the area. Overall though, if you’re used to the Trader Joe’s experience, the Cinco Ranch TJ’s doesn’t disappoint.

I love Trader Joe’s in general, and this location is my favorite one so far. It’s always clean, staff is always friendly and helpful, and I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes to check out. I was there for 15 – 20 minutes on a Sunday evening, and no fewer than 3 people asked me if I needed help with anything. The parking situation is also better than most TJs (which are notorious for small parking lots!) due to their location in LaCenterra.

Cheap cards, great premade food (Orange Chicken, General Tso are personal favorites). I love all the snacks and they carry the only yogurt, squeezable yogurt and yogurt smoothies that my son will eat. I am not a great cook but they make it easy with those individually frozen chicken breasts and thighs at a super affordable price annnnd you don’t have to defrost it, it cooks SO fast! Love all the free tastings (more than mt TJ’s in MD). When I stop nursing my LO so often (maybe in another 6 months), I’ll venture to taste their wine, of which they have quite the selection!

We don’t frequent Trader Joe’s often… mainly because it’s a little out of the way for us to go here, plus I usually go to the main stream stores for all of their weekly specials. But after going to Fuddruckers one day, we decided to casually go here and take a look around. (I mainly needed some limes.) Most of the stuff in there are reasonably priced. The frozen food and salads seem like they are at a higher price, but maybe they taste better than the average frozen dinners! I wouldn’t know… nothing has really ever enticed me to actually buy it. Though I have tried their macarons… which are ok for $ 5 a box. Bananas were cheap…19 cents a pound. We bought some pizza dough there as well…$ 1.19 and ya know, it was actually decent! So hey, save some money by making some homemade pizza! It’s definitely cheaper and tastes better than Pillsbury pizza dough. But make sure you use it soon since it will rise once you get home. Their cilantro jalapeño hummus tastes pretty good. Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw Muhummura… ding, ding, ding! I first tasted this at Fadi’s and fell in love with it… it’s some sort of dip made with walnuts and roasted pepper… it has a sweet and chili type taste to it… I don’t know but I’m glad I found it now without having to go to Fadi’s for it! Thanks, TJ’s! Can’t say I’ve really tried the cookie butter, or maybe I’ve tasted it a little bit before but I don’t remember… seems deadly though so I might not ever try it for my own weight sake!

I’m a fan. They have competitive prices on produce (most of the time) and great deals on their brands. I enjoy the monthly flyer they send out to alert your of new/​interesting items and appreciate all the samples they offer in store. They have some great prepared meals which I love. The must try’s are the bacon jerky, the cookie butter and in my opinion the egg white salad and cheeses. All great. I am knocking them down 1 star b/​c parking stinks and its a dead zone so when I’m trying to text my husband about items — it never goes through.

I just love this place. I’ve been happy with everything I’ve got from there. Very reasonably priced. My kiddo loves the stickers at checkout ;). What I like best though is the allergy ingredients are always called out and if it is produced in a facility as well. I wish all products came that way! We have celiac in the household, so it is a must for us.

Shopped at Trader Joe“s foe the very first time. I was really impressed, even though it is small, I could really do some damage to the budget! I love this place! I only wish there was one closer. Hoping one will open up in the Cypress area. PLEASE!!!

I love trader joes!!! their banana yogurt is so yummy it really is good just wish they sold it in a 6 pk by itself. I like them a lot better than Whole Foods.

Love this place. Finally we have one close to home. Good foods, earth-​friendly and superb customer service.

I am soooo glad TJ’s finally opened. Their staff is amazing, and the products are fresh. I recommend trying the Cookie Butter and Cocoa spread.
When you go, hit up the free sample section in the back, they always have a bunch of things to try. Early morning seems to be the best time to go. Oh, and the flowers are super cheap, I think I payed 3.99 for 9 roses. You can’t beat that anywhere.

Finally Trader Joe’s has come to Katy so I don’t have to drive a bit to go to one anymore. There’s a parking lot and garage right next to the store so I don’t have to worry about circling around for a spot to free up. As far as the store goes, it has the same layout as other Trader Joe’s store and all the food, snacks, variety of beer, etc that I’ve come to love about Trade Joe’s.

WOOOHOOO I’m as happy as can be!!! Finally, I don’t have to suffer through rush hour traffic to shop at my favorite grocery store ever! This location is so close to home and I’m almost positive that I won’t be going to any other grocery store in Katy. Well, unless it’s past 9 PM :)

My favorite thing about Trader Joes is that it is very inexpensive. Although the produce selection is not as wide, the variety and freshness is perfect for me. Man, living in Katy just keeps getting better and better!

Out of all the locations in town, I feel this Trader Joe’s has a little more variety. The difference I noticed was more vegan variety. I found vegan tika masala, vegan eggrolls & meatless chicken tenders. I used to visit the voss location quite often & I never stumbled upon these new findings. Overall, I rate it 4.5 stars simply because parking can be a hassle. I feel this location would be better off not connected to La Centerra. Seeing hows there a lot of other places around which share the same parking.
Either way this location is closer to me then the Voss or Alabama location. This location is bigger then Alabama & about the same size as the voss location minus spacious parking lot. Ill be a regular thats for sure. Check it out & see for yourself.

Love Trader Joes! This location is no exception. Hummus, Naan, international cheese, great coffee and tea, excellent pre made food, cheap cards and flowers, cookie butter, and of course 2 Buck Chuck! So happy that Katy finally got TJ’s! I love shopping here because the employees are so nice! They really go out of their way to make sure you have what you need and to put a smile on your face, love that! Next time you’re in La Centerra make sure you stop in and check it out for yourself.

Small, boutique grocery store. Wine, cheese, snacks, and frozen items are delicious. Organics and healthy foods are also available.
We stopped by on opening day… plenty of specials and tons of people. TJs is located in Cinco Ranch’s La Centerra shopping center across the street from the library. TJs is a sister store of Aldi, but focuses more on health food store items. Most items have the Trader Joe’s label.
Some food samples are available… we tried a delicious chicken salad, but I didn’t like the sample of rubbery orange chicken from the frozen aisle. I sampled a good red wine blend, but decided to go with the «two-​buck chuck» wine (TJs «Charles Shaw» label).
I saw some apples for 69 cents a pound, but also noticed that bell peppers were over a dollar for one. Shop wisely.
TJs also has milk and eggs, cereal, and a large frozen foods section. TJs is a great place to go and explore new types and flavors of foods. I especially like the different types of hummus that TJs offers. My wife and daughter like the salad varieties.
There is a parking garage nearby as well as the surface parking at La Centerra. Bring your own bags, or TJs will sell you a reusable bag for 99 cents (they were free on opening day).
For nearby grocery comparisons:
* Sprouts: better produce selection and prices at Sprouts, but I did find some small artichokes at TJs. Both have organic produce and snacks, but I prefer TJs snacks.
* Kroger/​HEB: better selection on mainstream grocery items. More organics at TJs.
* Aldi: both stores have great chocolate, cereal and frozen sections, Aldi’s is more of a mainstream store with cheaper eggs and milk.
* Costco: some of the frozen items you buy at Costco to feed 40 people you can find in TJs frozen aisle to feed 1 – 2 people.
