I’ve been coming to this place, always love their food. And their service is ok. But last Sunday made me change what I like about the restaurant. I paid online for two menudo’s, I got a call right away that they don’t have menudo and it was in the afternoon on a Sunday. So I said am I going to get my money refunded? Guy told me the person that does it is not here that he will give me a call. Waiting… Waiting. Until almost week is over, nothing. So I called again. And the guy just told me, I don’t know, I don’t know what to do. Just have no words, I’m the one doing the talking of how I’m going to get my money back. And finally finishing the solution for him, well can you talk to the manager? He said he will and give me a call next morning. Nothing. Wow! Course I can go to the place and be mad like crazy. But I rather not. Please be warn. Food is good, service is horrible! But I will be getting my money back. I’ll call the bank.

Guess I should have looked at Alex’s review from a year ago. I didn’t know that they didn’t do the free taco for checking in. Tried their chorizo breakfast tacos. 1.49 a pop. Store bought tortillas… Good that they cooked everything fresh on the spot but it just tasted ok. Not good and not bad. The girl at the counter was definitely not friendly and uninterested in taking your order. The place is inside of a little food mart that’s a bit run down and it seems like there is a good amount of working Hispanic males just sitting around playing the game machines in the back.

I have been wanting to try this place for quite a while. My daughter, her boyfriend and I went for lunch today. We asked the server for recommendations since this was our first visit. She recommended the taco Adriana’s. We ordered our drinks and chips and queso while we reviewed the menu. We were delivered our drinks, chips and salsa and placed the remainder of our order. We waited, ran out of chips and salsa and never received our queso. The server came and brought food that was not ours. Still no queso or chip refill. We went over our order with her again with a menu. She then brought the same food back to our table and said are you sure this isn’t your food? Again, we said no and gave her our order for 3rd time and said that we still didn’t have our queso. The poor girl was totally confused and flustered. A manager came out and asked for our order for the 4th time. He promptly brought our queso and 2 of our entrees. He brought the torta out that the server mistakenly ordered and said please try this on us and apologized. He quickly brought out the third entrée. The food was delicious and so fresh. It was the best queso that I have ever eaten. When our bill arrived, he did not charge us for the queso or our drinks, plus he gave us the best torta any of us have ever eaten for free. So, what he lost in food costs in one visit made 3 lifelong customers. We were more than satisfied with the way he handled our situation. The food kicked Torchy’s butt and the price is so much better. No long lines, flies and good FREE chips and salsa. Definitely will go back and bring more peeps!

If you are looking for tacos and tortas, this place is pretty good. If you are looking for a full blown Mexican menu, you will not get that here. They do offer breakfast and have recently added several new items to the menu.

Found this place only because of the roadside sing on I-10 heading home to San Antonio from Houston. We were hoping for real Mexican food, nothing fancy, and dive-y. This is it! Why anyone would go across the street to eat at Taco Bell is beyond me. This place has authentic, freshly prepared, beautifully presented Mexican food. Service was prompt and friendly. Manager/owner stopped by each table to ask how everything was. If we’re every starving and stuck between destinations on I-10, Adrian will get our business.

The tacos are pretty good… the location looks shady as all get out… it doesn’t help that the ladies serving are a bit on the surly side… as I got our order I did say gracias and got a semblance of a smile… but I really could get the same quality of taco from the local food truck hovering around daily… sans the attitude.

***WARNING: This establishment does not honor the Unilocal check-in offer of a free taco*** This place is not in the most aesthetically pleasing area. That does not bother me, because being a New Orleans native I am used to eating and frequenting hole in the walls! Given the location, I figured the place probably would have some decent grub. I noticed that the lunch special ended at 1pm, which seemed liked a good deal, but no problem for me, maybe next time. Time to check in via my Unilocal app, and guess what, you get a free taco for checking in… SWEET! Free food always makes me happy! This is a very dingy looking gas station/convenience store that you have to go through in order to get to the actual restaurant area in the back. No problem because they probably have good food… they must! I show my check in offer, and the lady behind the counter tells me she is not doing it! What?!? Really?!? I was told that their location does not do it, and go to another location to redeem the offer. I showed them that they offer was for their location, because the check in is very specific to location. The lady became frustrated for showing her the offer on my phone, which showed the address and everything. I verified that I was at the right location based on the address listed, and they confirmed I was in the right spot. The lady calls some guy and they start discussing stuff in Spanish. I catch a word here and there… even sentence fragments… and I do not like what I am hearing. The guy laughs and then tells me that they don’t have breakfast tacos to give. I told him that I did not ask for a breakfast taco, and I was order tacos from the menu, and I just wanted an extra one as per the offer. He told the lady that one was suppose to be gratis, but she shot back something about«pollo.» I am starting to really not like where this is headed, and then the guy said it…“We don’t have chicken either.” Why?!? In my mind I picked up a table and smashed everyone in the restaurant in the skull with it because in 2013, do we really need to shoot racial stereotypes at each other?!? Could we get through a complete week in the new year without something of that nature happening? I kindly expressed that I did not ask for chicken, then spoke enough Spanish to the lady to whereas she realized that I had a slight idea of what was being said, and she hung her head slightly. I finally just gave up on the free taco and just ordered a #2 Cecina plate. That cost me a penny short of $ 7. I was not in the mood to stay there and eat in their grunge, so I left. Long story a bit shorter, I really don’t get paying that much for those little bitty tacos, but to each their own thing! The 5 tacos took up all the area of the plate, and they piled much meat and fresh ingredients on top of those little corn shells. The green sauce they gave me was insanely spicy. The food was just okay. No outstanding spices or flavor. In my book, hot does not equal flavor. They definitely provided plenty of hot!!! With the amount of items they pile on the plate with the meat, one order will take plenty of space in your stomach. All in all, this is authentic style tacos, so if you want that experience, please visit this place. I don’t think this location will ever see me again. I don’t need to travel that far to have race laden banter thrown at me… I can get that on television or online and never pay an extra dime!

I haven’t had tacos this good and this authentic since I moved from SoCal! These taste just like my tio Carmen’s tacos he used to make at our family barbecues! The food is downright delicious and 100% hecho en México! The food is not American-Mexican or tex-mex, just Mexican food made right in front of you. Just the smell of the tacos is to die for and that salsa roja… Get outta town. It’s AMAZING! Very spicy, it definitely packs a punch. The only reasons why this place isn’t more popular is because of the location(it is in a shady looking Mexican mini mart and not much better looking once inside) and because fajitas are not on the menu(sorry Texas). Pues, take your noses out of the air Katy, and give this place a shot! Trust me, THIS is REAL Mexican food. Well done Tacos y Tortas Adrian; Big thumbs up!

Not your typical tacos that you would find in Houston. I love how the places come loaded with a ton of extra stuff… cilantro, onions, grilled onions, jalapenos, avocado, you name it… you can try so many different flavors on the plate… Service needs to be improved though, but the kitchen, flavor and presentation are A+

This place is a hidden gem in Katy. I am from southern CA and know a thing or two about REAL tacos. The tacos adrian are the closest thing you can get to authentic carne asada LA/Tijuana street tacos. If you are sick of Tex-Mex and are dying for the good stuff, this place is on point. The salsa roja is very similar to the salsa used on the al pastor at King Taco in Los Angeles. Havent really tried anything else on the menu, but if you stick to the tacos you will not be disappointed. Respect!

*** I GAVETHISPLACE5 stars because 1)…I wrote the WRONG review for the wrong location. sorry 2) the Manager followed up with me and contacted me TWICE about making it right. 3) I am all about customer service and the manager impressed me quite a bit… the other location on N. Westgreen was the one I had the bad experience at. I will check this one out in the near future. Thank you for following up and making sure I was taken care of.

Tacos Y Tortas Adrian is a dive-ish fast food joint tucked inside a gas station convienence store. There are about 64-top tables bunched up together. Prices are reasonable, most items from between $ 5 to $ 7.50, and you can order a la carte. I had the chicken tacos, which was 5 mini-tacos on corn tortillas, spicy chicken, lettuce, a thin tomato slice, and onion. Flavorful and cheap, I think this could be a regular lunch spot, but I waited 5 minutes for my order on a quiet Saturday afternoon. I’m not sure how long I’d be willing to wait if they were slammed.

Get the #2 Cecina, so delicious! I could eat a million of those little delicious tacos, although five fill me up! Cheap and fast, definitely give it a try.
