Starbucks

Made a quick coffee stop. They were pretty quick considering my crazy order for one of my drinks. I ordered two skinny caramel frappacinos but mine had coconut milk and it was made with cold brew instead of the frapp roast (tip: cold brew has more caffeine than espresso!). I expected it to be pretty busy since it was 8:00 a. m on a Friday, but I got my drinks in about 5 minutes!

This is the worst, and dirtiest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Filthy bathrooms, filthy kitchen, slow staff with possible hygiene issues. Clearly a derelict manager is to blame — I hope they improve!

I’ve been to this store numerous times always hoping service and atmosphere will improve. No improvement today! It’s not the fastest, or friendliest, and the noise level is much higher than most Starbucks I’ve visited.
Here’s what happened…
It was average traffic. One one person taking orders and there was one person in line. No big deal, should be quick and I can get on with my business. Another person comes out from the back and asks another girl to unlock another register. While this is happening two girls show up and get in line next to me. When the cashier is ready, she asks me to step aside so she can take their orders. I was a little irked, but I thought I’d take the high road and let the lady’s go first.
Another gentleman arrives and gets in line. The female cashier that just arrived directed the man to the other cashier in front of me. Huh???
Ok… I’ll swallow my pride and let it go.
Next, she takes my order and hurrys a me along as if there are more customers. There were none, yet. But the afternoon rush began and customers start to flood in.
So, I go to the end of the bar to wait for my order, and count the drinks going out before mine comes up… From the point where it should have shown up assuming a first in first out method. Mine was 23 drinks late!!! This after having to ask the barista twice if my drink is ready!
Now I’m just downright angry and feel disrespected. Not coming back to this Starbucks ever. If you want the Starbucks experience you’ve enjoyed elsewhere, you won’t find it here.

I usually stop by here in the morning around 8 am and they are almost always packed. Sometimes the line extends to the door and the wait for a drink is 20 minutes. It can get pretty ridiculous, but the baristas are pretty experienced and work efficiently, though sometimes people behind get their drink before me. Hit or miss in terms of «Can I get out before being late for work.»

I really like this location! It’s near my home and convenient. Coralis and Amanda always make my drinks perfect and are completely willing to let me try out new ones with helpful suggestions. Ugh like that one time I dried a blonde espresso in my caramel macchiato — so gross and don’t suggest it.
Anyways– the location itself can get really crowded, they did what they could with the place but still it’s small. Luckily another location is opening in Katy so hopefully that will ease the stress of maneuvering around people and chairs.

My homeboy mat at the front counter ar the Starbucks hooked me up with a 24 hour cold brew with some coconut cream milk and Matt got me lifted. He up sold with me but pure swagger and charisma. see what Matt did is he made me feel like I had that mom and pop experience even at the most corporate place such a Starbucks. thank you matt I really appreciate that. Not to mention he’s a stone cold ladykiller

Best Starbucks ever!!! They make the best drinks in Katy!!! Always friendly. Love this place!

Nothing to complain about. Fairly clean service was fairly friendly, coffee is VERY hot which is VERY important to me… a bit if litter and cigarette butts in outside areas… Also No drivethrough. But I’ll be back because it’s close to my place and HOT coffee with plenty of outside seating

Avoid this location. Staff was unkind and overcharged me. They were rude when I asked about the overcharge. Interior is dirty and unkept. Seating is not scarce, but it is crammed tightly together. Baked goods are not fresh by any means. There is no drive-​thru. I will never revisit this location.

Nope, this place is ridiculous. Asked for a blended Americano and just got a glass of crunchy ice & espresso with water. No flavor no sweetness no nothing. Service is horrible, staff unfriendly, never ever coming to this location again. BEWAREE!

Here’s my experience, this place is crammed tight with tables, chairs, and shelves. Very hard to move around in here. But that doesn’t bother me as I’m in and out anyways. What really ticked me off was when I ordered my VENTI caramel latte, it felt «light». I got in my car I opened the lid to find it 2 inches shy of what was suppose to be a full cup. The sad part was that the barista added whipped cream on top, so imagine what was actually there for me to drink. A grande latte. Maybe? Did I pay for a grande? It was only a little over half full. I’ll never return to this starbucks. However, I’m giving it two stars because my grande. I mean venti. latte was good.

How dare you put a highway sign up for this damn Starbucks! No drive-​thru. Hidden behind a kebab place way in the back of a strip center. Pain in the ass to find. Employee smoking a cigarette outside the front door. Lame. Lame. Lame. You made me exit the freeway for this crap?!

Friendly staff, great service! Love how they honor and are great supporters of our military, seen how they treat them and it says a lot, very professional ! Love this Starbucks!

As many have already stated this place is pretty filthy. It’s cluttered and there is grime all over the floor. Stacks of old newspapers don’t help. As Starbucks go they need to get this location cleaned up. It’s not a good representation of the brand. Service was slow compared to other locations as well. The staff just seemed to be there but made no real attempt at making any connection. Lots of room for improvement for sure.

This is a great place to stop on the way to the Kingsland Park and Ride or for a post-​movie treat. Wifi always works, good indoor seating, poor outdoor seating.
Service is good… never had an issue, except for occasionally being a bit short on filling my refillable cup.
I would say this is a medium-​sized location and it can get busy in the morning. Most of the time, I only have to wait a few minutes. There are 4 comfy leather chairs with small side tables, a mix of short and tall tables & chairs, and a few chairs against the side window ledge.
If you are looking for a nice outdoor patio, go to another location. This is a corner location and there ere are only 3 or 4 small tables outside on the sidewalk.
This Starbucks is a short walk from the Alamo Draft House. If you are on your way to the park & ride, take a right on the street past the theater and you will end-​up at Kingsland 30 seconds later.

Sadly, this locations has gone downhill over the past year, ever since the new manager took over. It’s clear she is in over her head, as the situation has not improved. All of the old staff is gone (driven away by the new manager) and the replacements are not trained and they do not care about doing a good job on anything. The espresso drinks take forever, the bathrooms are filthy, the service is slow and the attitudes are poor. If I could give zero stars I would. It’s a shame since this is the most convenient location for me and it used to be a great store, but now I drive past this one and head to another location.

Filthy!!! It looks like they haven’t picked up trash in a week!!! If you are running in and out, it might be okay, but if you have to sit inside it is gross!!! The customer sitting next to me said, «Wow! This place looks like a pig pen! Plus, I couldn’t, t use the plug, fir my computer because someone before me, broke of their ground and it is stuck in the outlet! Clean it up people!!!

Relaxing and reading… tends to get filled up quickly here tho.

Its a freaking Starbucks, in Katy. I stopped here on my way back from Houston to Austin. I needed coffee to stay awake.
I was surprised by how big it was.
That’s what she said. BOOM!

if you know me, you know i’m not the biggest starbucks fan. red flag: I can’t drink their espresso straight… it’s inconsistent, and very bitter. once I learned espresso didn’t have to taste like that, there was no turning back.
also, I can’t in good conscience write a starbucks review without mentioning that I loathe the «closed» bar. They’ve basically shielded the area where your beverage is being prepared from your view. THIS IS INTENTIONAL. it’s quite disturbing to think of the possible reasons for this. I’ll let your imagination fill in the details.
ok. coffee snobbery is out of the way. ;) now to review other aspects of this starbucks…
I went to highschool in katy, and frequented this location very often– back when I thought a macchiato was a caramel latte. ;) It’s nostalgic for me. The customer service is so-​so, it’s usually an unenthusiastic student behind the bar, but they’re generally pleasant.
I think starbucks is a different animal… it wouldn’t be fair or necessarily accurate to compare them against coffee shops that do «real» coffee. if you’re super into coffee, you know what you’re getting into when you walk into one, and if you’re not, then well, that aspect doesn’t matter. enjoy that frappuccino! (the java chip is a guilty pleasure of mine. :)
fyi, my review for the kingsland-​fry location will be very similar. it’s a very similar experience, however fry has more outside seating, and they host more events at the fry location :)
