I’m giving this place a 4 strictly based on the service person we had. Fantastic, friendly, passionate about her(summer) job — the kind of girl you’d like your son to date and you’d have fun going to get pedicures with. You know what is REALLY«Ooh La La» about these desserts? THEPRICES. $ 3 individual macaroons? $ 7 pieces of cake? $ 5 – 6 cupcakes(each)? Starbuck + pricing for really poor quality coffee? If these were the bestest most delicious cakes on the planet, I’d not mind paying those prices. But they were a little hit or miss. One of our party had a chocolate espresso cupcake with chocolate icing. The cake was overbaked and dry; the icing was waxy and overly sweet. Another had a super chocolate bomb kind of cupcake(cannot remember it’s name) and it was probably some of the best chocolate icing I’ve ever tasted. The macaroon was a sugar bomb. The cake itself was moist but overly sweet. Two of us split the Italian Cream Cake. Now, I’ll drive quite a long distance for good Italian Cream Cake. Those lightly toasted, big chunks of nut, lovely toasted coconut, heavy creamy cake with light crumb, a delicious cream cheese frosting… oh, my! THISISNOTTHATCREAMCAKE. Dry. Nuts chopped so fine that you were surprised when your teeth hit a nut piece big enough to chew. Covered in an overly sweet, canned tasting frosting that completely obscured the best thing about this cake — the cream cheese layer. Really it’s a rating of a 2, maybe a 3… but that server’s enthusiasm made all the difference.

I’m a huge fan of Ooh La La. The cheesecakes and cupcakes are amazing, and the cupcakes are huge. They have different flavors every day. Super awesome place. Give it a try.

Their huge Rice Krispie treats are my favorite! It’s hit or miss with the staff– they are either very friendly or very unenthusiastic about being at work. Either way– I will keep coming back for the Rice Krispie treats! Haha. They also have a drive thru which is super convenient!

THis place is cute. My kids liked eating cupcakes there. They liked the strawberry cupcake the best.

This is my first visit here and I was thrilled with my experience. The location was clean and neat. Raphael greeted us and offered excellent advice on our selections. We had the Ultimate Chocolate Cake, Pecan Pie, and White Chocolate Bread Pudding served warm with sauce, so good. Add coffee and I was in heaven. Try this place. It was not cheap but it was so much better than any dessert you could get in a restaurant. So much to choose from, you must come and give it a try.

Service was okay. They seemed in a rush to leave since I arrived about 30 min to closing. Tried the peach cupcake which lacked peach flavor aside from a few small chunks scattered within. The frosting tasted like pure butter. The atmosphere was cozy with much décor, and the cupcakes and other goodies looked amazing. But I was left craving the slice of cake I ate earlier in the week… Made from a box cake mix.

I think it is ok, not the greatest cupcakes. they are always out of the chewy cookie and the carrot cake. no one ever greets you, line is a hot mess.

Cream puffs to die for(from). Lots of delicious calories. Love the place, great people sitting in side and out. Taxido latte is a must try.

We bought a dozen cupcakes for a Birthday –one of each flavor that was available. Most of the cupcakes were very dry. The frosting was the typical bland fluffy looking stuff you could get in any grocery store. I expected more.

People rave abut the cupcakes here even though they are not cheap. I got a «carrot cake» cupcake and have no clue how they can call it anything to be close to carrot cake. It is basically a spice cake cupcake; an infinitesimal evidence of carrot, no raisin, no pineapple, and very tiny pieces of walnut. The icing is about a half pound of your basic butter crème icing, which I suppose makes people think they have gotten their money’s worth, it is not a traditional cream cheese based icing that one would expect to find on carrot cake. The icing does have tiny orange«sprinkles» on top which I am sure have been put there to identify it as the«carrot» cake for the people working behind the counter. I am not saying all their fares are of poor quality, as I have not tried them, but DONOT choose carrot cake if that is what you are expecting to get.

The cupcakes and cookies are not consistent here. Some days they can be moist and perfectly baked. Other days, the cakes are dry and crumbly. Their bakery is just ok. It’s too bad because it’s a cute shop. I gave them an extra star because they’re really nice, it’s just the sweets are not good.

I want to start off by saying my husband and I use to love this place. We would go here probably at least three times a month for the past 5 years. But for the past year it has been a hit or miss. Sometimes the cupcakes are moist and delicious but now, more often than not, they are DRY! Since so many bad experiences with the cupcakes, I decided to try the cheesecake. My husband came home and told me that the cost was $ 6.50 for it. I was dumbfounded. The cheesecake factory doesn’t even charge that much for their mass variety of huge cheesecakes! So I am not understanding where they get off charging that much for a smaller less fulfilling cake. We have already moved our business to nothing bunt cakes for our cupcake cravings, now it looks like I need to find another place for cheesecakes too.

Ordered a white chocolate bread pudding and a tiramisu. The bread pudding was anything but and when we got home the tiramisu was frozen. Not impressed.

Took family there tonight for dessert. Selection and service was good. Let’s see we got a giant snickerdoodle cookie, chocolate brownie, and oreo mousse pie. All were delicious! If you live in Katy and want to go somewhere for dessert try this place. Tip: If you go real late on Friday and Saturday night, selection may be slim because they get so busy those days. I think if you go by 8 there should be plenty to choose from.

From Pretty and Pink to Elvis Red Velvet, Ooh La La offers a wide variety of tasty treats! Known for their jumbo cupcakes, and«To die for» icing this place can satisfy my tastebuds for a great price! Each jumbo cupcake is valued at $ 3.75, perfect for the gargantuan treat! And that’s not all they serve, around the counter are loads of desserts like Strawberry Cheesecake, Double Chocolate Cake and macaroons, all colors of the rainbow! I have yet to try those desserts as well as their coffee! The stores location is quite convenient and there’s loads of parking in the plaza including a drive through to the store. The building is small and cute. Inside are tables for two, a huge dessert counter and adorable decorations. Perfect for birthday desserts, sugar cravings and weekend date nights. Ooh La La I can’t get enough of you!

We bought a sampling for our family on my birthday week instead of the tradition cake… Loved trying bites from several different ones. Loved the Velvet Elvis, as always, double chocolate chunk and German chocolate were good, white chocolate raspberry was surprisingly delish– but the star of the show was pretty in pink. I’ve been thinking about that lady ever since… Yum.

Let’s see… I had a sweet tooth and wanted some bread pudding… WOW…this place is awesome… bread pudding came with this sauce that is like only something you can get from New Orleans… the other items all look fresh and I can’t wait to try everything… this place will be getting a big part of my paycheck.

Visited on June 2015 for the first time. The good: Nice, clean, and well decorated store. Very kind and attentive staff. The bad: Macaroons have nice texture but are too sweet. Coffee: nice foam texture, but poor coffee quality. In my opinion, recommended for a nice chat, not so much to try the deserts or enjoy a good coffee. But there is a taste for everything. If you like desserts overloaded with sugar, this might be the right place for you.

MACARONS: Sitting at my desk, stressed with a billion things to do and the craving hits me. I WANTMACARONS! The light, moist/crisp cookie sandwich with a thin layer of custard/jam filling that is barely big enough for two bites… can’t get it out of my head. Problem is, my favorite macaron shop is near my home, Downtown, and I’m all the way in Katy. =(I do a quick Unilocal and google search for macaron shops in Katy. Ooh La La was one of the first to pop up and the closest. I head out to embark on a macaron journey. Usually, I do not deter from the classic macaron boutiques but I couldn’t wait 5 hours to get to them. The shop is small… very small. Clearly the Park Row location doubles as a bakery warehouse. As for the macaron… it was not a macaron. More like an extremely commercial/americanized version. The large macaron was typical shape and thickness, but the filling was made of their signature icing. This is where the problems began for me. They were extremely sweet(coming from a sugar/salt lover) and the flavor could not be appreciated. Next time, I will wait the 5 hours. Or even make some for myself on the weekend for the week. Either way, their version is not for someone who enjoys the classics.

Stopped by for dessert last night and I’m kind of torn on how to feel about the discovery… basically because I am weak and will be back way more than I should be =/This is a nice little place! We got there around 8:00(nice to have late evening hours!). There was a couple eating at one of the outside tables, and a couple of tables inside were taken. There is a little nook with some comfortable lounge-type chairs in addition to several small tables. It is very clean and open inside. There are two huge display cases, and even later in the evening there was plenty to choose from. I got a cupcake of the day which I was told was a lemon-almond flavor. It was very good! I believe the frosting was buttercream. There was just enough to seem indulgent but not so much that it was overpowering. It wasn’t a pansy cupcake either. I still have half of that bad boy in the was a pretty cupcake, too. Packed in with sprinkles and a homemade animal cookie on top. You know the old-school, small-town bakeries that made the basic frosted cookies? I haven’t had one of those cookies since visiting a bakery in Flatonia over twenty-five years ago. That was the kind of cookie that graced the top of my cupcake. For that cookie alone I will be returning ASAP. I also got a Cap’n Crunch Rice Krispy Style treat for later(don’t judge). My husband got a slice of the cake of the day(same flavor as my cupcake). Okay, this wasn’t a slice of cake. This was the biggest SLAB of cake I’ve seriously ever seen in my life. He still have 2⁄3 of it leftover in the fridge! He also got a Ranger cookie. Not sure what was in it — but he said that it was really good. Price. We were expecting to pay much, much more than we ended up being charged. For all that we got we spent $ 19 and some change. Considering the quality and quantity that is a great deal. I will most definitely be back for treats at some point. My nephews will love it! Also, looking at the pictures on here I am so impressed by their custom cakes and cupcakes. They are so creative and cute. I’m thinking a Mother’s Day cake is in order!
