I called many places trying to find one that would do a last minute job of sewing 8 patches onto my daughter’s letterman jacket, saying that I needed it the following evening. Not only were they the only one that said yes, but it was ready 24 hours later. I thought the quoted $ 45 was probably a fair price, considering there were 7 small patches going onto the sleeves, which required removing the lining to access, and 1 large patch for the back, not to mention the time frame I needed it by. They stuck to the quoted price and I couldn’t tell where they had removed the lining. 2 of the sleeve patches were not in the order my daughter had requested, but that’s no big deal. I will use them again, when my daughter gets her new patches.

So, fellow Unilocalers, you were right. She list my pants for 20 minutes. Only after threatening that she will need to replace them did she find them! I haven’t tried on the pants to see the work yet. But for the service, I’m giving two stars.

I had a bridesmaid dress hemmed & taken in here once & will never go back. They quoted me 1 week. Day 10 I had still not heard anything so I called & they said it was ready. I went to go try it on & got poked by the pins that were still in it from when she fit it to me! The dress had not been worked on at all & they said it would take another 3 days because they were so backed up. The wedding was in 2. Needless to say I had them fix it that day. They did not charge me for it, mainly because I showed them I got blood on my dress from the pins.

Convenient, polite, and a nice job on all my clothes. Right next to Starbucks, which is all the more reason to go pick up your shirts :)

They did a good job on my bridesmaid dress that was humongous due to an ordering issue. They did it with turn around in less than a week. I also paid less than my fellow bridesmaids in other parts of the country.

Beware! Bait & switch! I dropped off 2 dresses for alterations and was given one price when I dropped them off from the owner’s daughter and a much higher price when I picked them up from the owner herself(from $ 27 to $ 38). When I brought this up to the owner, she told me that her daughter didn’t know and she was helping her because she was out of town. Well, this isn’t my problem. I asked her if she had a price sheet to avoid this issue in the future and she said she didn’t that I could just ask her when I came in and she would give me the price. Well, how convenient?! So she can basically charge whatever she wants whenever she feels like it. To add insult to injury she said she would give me a discount from $ 38 to $ 35… How generous of her. I paid and left. As for the alterations, they are not great. My mother is a seamstress(out of state) and she would be ashamed of me for returning after what they did to my husband’s $ 200 pants. I figured, maybe the work is ok but now that I’ve seen the dresses I see it’s not high quality work. I’m looking for a new shop!
