The new owner is really rude! He put coupons all over like groupon, et. and then once you get in there finds a way not to let you use it. Had a coupon I bought for 25 dollars but you must spend 50.00. We ate and the total was approximately 44.00 so we ordered 2 pieces of cake to take home with us to meet the 50.00. The owner not only would not allow this but got very obnoxious and rude with us. Said this was for dine in only made some comment about me being able to read. I paid my bill and told him he had a lot to learn about customer service and that I would never be back. Food was alright but when I go out to eat dinner I don’t want to be treated like crap!

Went in and the hostess looked confused. She didnt greet us and when we asked to get a stir fry to go, she just stared at us. We finally got to the stir fry station. The food was ok.

Looking for an alternative to Ghengis Grill, we tried this place. The staff were very friendly, the food was decent, but the place was pretty dirty and everything was sticky… the tables, the numbers for our orders, it felt dirty and gross. My husband said the men’s room was super dirty and there weren’t any paper towels. We had high hopes, did not meet our expectations.

READAFTERTHEFIRSTPARAGRAPHFORTHEINFORMATIONALPORTION 2nd shot at Kublai Khan. Previously I had tried the one in Sugar Land and hadn’t enjoyed it much. It’s a more expensive version of Genghis Grill but instead of higher quality it feels like a cheaper rip off. I went in and made my bowl after being forced into trying it once more. The bowl came out looking great and tasted great and I thought«maybe last time I was hard on this place» then I got to the chicken which was severely under cooked but no problem. We are human we make mistakes. I ask the nice lady if they can do something for that. She apologized profusely and politely and took it back I thought«well it’ll be set right and in 5 mins I’ll be eating again» The food comes back and now the rice is burnt because it was put on the grill to be recooked with the chicken. Ever had grilled rice? I wouldn’t recommend it. So I said«avoid the rice»(the bulk of the dish). I start picking at the chicken and potatoes in there. Guess what? Those aren’t cooked(I hadn’t even checked the potatoes first time) I put the bowl aside as I’m just turned off by all this and don’t want to eat. The polite lady asks once more«is everything ok?» I tell her the situation and she offered another bowl, which I declined. She brings out our check and I’m still charged for an essentially untouched bowl and at this point and I become slightly upset. Needless to say I just went ahead and made another bowl(without protein). I mean if I’m gonna pay for it might as well right? Lastly I went to the restroom to wash my hands before leaving and this is what pushed me over the edge. No paper towels and truly filthy(first time I’ve used that word out of a necessity in my life). The two stars come from the offer for another bowl and the flat bread. That was some good flat bread! TLDR: Atmosphere: feels like a knock off of Genghis Grill Food(cooking) quality: Poor. Very poor Service: Polite but very lacking. Restroom: Stop at a gas station. It’ll at least have the paper towels –Shanil(ex-restaurant owner) Also first review ever!

Very disappointed. Bought certificate on . Certificate says dine in. But we needed to eat 100 $. Since we didn’t eat enough, we asked if we can order the sushi as take out for the remaining amount. Server refused. Then we asked if she can bring the sushi to the table and we can eat a little and pack the rest. The server said no. Says we have to eat everything there. I have never heard of this! Why must I eat everything in the restaurant??? Everyone else was packing the food! They did this only because they were upset we want to use the certificate. If you don’t want anyone to use certificate, then don’t put it out! The service was so lousy that we will never come here again!

Average. The food was pretty good. Wish they had more of a selection to choose from. Compared to Genghis Grill, I’d probably go to Genghis because of their selection. However, this place is a lot cheaper than Genghis. Only downside is the place always looks dead and there is a very limited selection.

I have been to this location twice. We had a groupon so we decided to go again. We walked through the door and the staff was friendly and greeted us promptly. We went to our table and sat down with menus. My two dining companions were ready to eat so we went to the line. With people behind us we were feeling a bit rushed to make a decision. I would recommend to look at everything they have to offer first then load up your bowls. It is also helpful to get recommendations for the sauces and what to blend. When it comes to choosing your own food if you don’t like it the only one you can blame is yourself. The waitress did ask if we had been before and we responded yes so this was on us for not asking questions. I liked my creation as did one of my companions. So why the 3 stars? 3 reasons: 1) cost– even with a groupon 12.99 for one of those bowls is too much. 2) The place felt a little sticky. From the menu to the table tents it needed a good cleaning. They should add that to their shift duties. 3) The diner we were with that did not like his creation had a stray shrimp join his plate and he hates anything from the ocean. Good concept. I would go back.

I will never return to this restaurant! Although today was not my first time visiting the restaurant, however, I used a Groupon today. The food was great and the service was okay. At the end of our meal, I notified the waitress that I had a Groupon and she took my phone along with the bill to a manager to adjust the bill. After she adjusted the bill I notice that I was overcharged for items that I did not get. I also noticed that I was being taxed for the entire bill and not my balance. After I brought this to her attention, she seemed agitated and left again with the bill. At this point, the manager comes over with a bad attitude and tells me that I am giving them too many problems, to not worry about the bill, to leave and to never return. I had my two children with me and I asked him why are there so many problems with my bill and he stated that it was a computer mistake that he was not willing to correct. The manager’s name was Brian Le and he raised his voice to me and my children. He was very disrespectful and there was no need to tell me to never return because you couldn’t pay me to return to a restaurant where a man speaks to a woman and children the way that he spoke to us today. My daughter was scared to move out of her seat!

Decent selection of vegetables, meats and spices. If your bowl isn’t tasty the only person you can blame is yourself.

I’m giving this place 3 stars on the basis that I will return. But on first experience, everything about it was 2 star except my concoction was pretty good. We get there and are seated at least 15 minutes before our table is approached. Then when ditzy lady goes around the table at our group of 7 drink orders, she seriously ends with so that’s 3 sweet teas, 2 cokes, 2 waters, right? And actually waited for an answer!!! Do we look like waitresses? That’s your job! If you were going to 2nd guess it, you need to write them down. Stop trying to be waiter of the year, you don’t get an award for that! We all move to the fix it yourself station and yes, reading instructions is annoying at first if you’ve never been to this type of restaurant. But the thought of creating your own mix outweighs the initial trepidation. Luckily I’m well versed in these places so no biggie for me. For this place specifically, first is silver bowl for veggies, then slide down afterwards & get your next bowl for meat, think it was black. Load that baby up!!! Then on to sauces & spices… don’t fret, your meal will be yummy no matter what u choose. Then lastly pick your carb(range of noodles & rice). I chose steak & udon with a host of veggies, broccoli, baby corn, lots of mushrooms… etc. Get a number and wait for your delight… if you get the right one lol smh one at our table got mixed up. I had a chunk of pineapple in mine, I definitely didn’t put that in my mix. Probably from someone else’s pile as its all cooked on the same place. I wouldn’t think this is a good setup for ppl with allergens. Getting a refill of our drink took ages… I never got one Lastly according to the waitress, because we were seated at a table for 8, they automatically charged us for 8 ppl? Who the hell does that? She corrected it though. But when I go back and it’s just my friend and me at a table for 4, how many are we going to be charged for? smh Barring the sucky service, and old dingy bathroom with lead doors geez(and entire, semi dingy looking restaurant honestly), my dish was pretty good. 7 of us plus some non water drinks came to about 82 bucks so it’s not too pricey at all.

Food is always cooked fresh plus puck your own sauces. Always a treat for the family! They could pay more attention to their restrooms is the only negative…

2 stars for the selection they have here. The amount of veggies and meat/seafood was pretty good. However, the quality was another thing. There was bad spinach and they just left it in the mix, the meats were out and no one restocked it. The«tender beef» was actually not tender. Super chewy to where the pork was actually more tender than the beef. The scallop was the size of my corn, I couldn’t even find it in my bowl. Then the sauces, were more on the bland side so when my dish was complete, there was like no flavor except the garlic and cayenne pepper I added. To top it off, my boyfriend got his plate 15 minutes before I even got mine. Even though we gave it to them the same time. So when I finally got my bowl, he was done. His bowl tasted like curry(which he did not add anything that could make it taste like it). So he couldn’t even finish it because the flavor made him want to throw up. So I spent $ 30 for 2 bowls that was alright only because the amount of food there was. I wouldn’t be returning and just go to Ghengis Grill next time. Service was ok and the customers were also kind of rude. I was rushed while making my bowl and some even dipped their tasting spoon directly into the container of sauce. Nobody stopped them or anything. Not sanitary.

Worst food and service ever. They burned our stir fry the first time and then blamed it on the sauce. I’ll never come back. How do you mess up stir fry?

Deliciously fresh! This is a favorite place for our family! Best part is you can make it all you can eat for only $ 2 more.

I have been to many of the Mongolian chain restaurants(BD’s, Genghis, Little Sheep, HuHot, etc.). Kublai Khan is in the middle. 3 Stars. Genghis has gone to the dogs lately, so we decided to give Kublai Khan a shot. We found it to be slightly better. Mongolian stir fry is what«you» make of it. KKCMSF gives you good choices for veggies, meat, spices, sauces, and starches. The veggies looked fresh, the meats and the seasonings were okay. Nothing stood out as exceptional, but nothing was bad either. The bowls were cooked quickly and delivered to our table fast. The service was friendly and refills were timely. If you are looking for a Mongolian place, and tired of Genghis, this may be something you should check out. If you want better Mongolian head over to Little Sheep.

We went on Friday night with friends and this place smells like skunk. Horrible interior and server was really rude. Out food was not that great as it was really cold which is unusual for Mongolian grill. They goofed up our order and refused to take off our bill. Owner was rude and with 0 respect for customer.

Got horribly sick here even with their«gluten free allergy option». So sick to the point where I was violently ill for days. Never again. I definitely will not be back.

Food was good — therefore I will be back. Love that you have 2 separate bowls for proteins and veggies. Love different kinds of sauces and seasoning. If you arent that smart they have helpful recipe ideas What I didnt like — when I walked in I stood there like 5 minutes like an idiot… no one to greet or seat. Also, there was one loud @ss party of 5… that were just so freaking obnoxious… Im going to start taking pictures and run like a facebook page which would have ‘IFYOUSEEYOURPICHEREYOUARE @sshole’. Seriously ppl… mind your manners
