I love this little place and will continue to shop here. You walk in the door and you are immediately greeted and treated like family. If you don’t know where something is they walk you directly to the product not just bark out an isle number. if you don’t know what you are looking for but can describe. it they can help you find the solution. If the person you are working with does not know, they will find someone in the store that does. This is what customer service should be. It may cost a few cents more at times but it is well worth it for the great service. Keep up the good work.

This is a small town store in the middle of Old Katy and its customer service is amazing. You will never walk through the door and not be asked within 60 seconds if there’s anything they can help you with. And the people who are helping you aren’t big box employees who took a class to learn where stuff is on an aisle. They actually know what they’re doing and if they don’t on your particular issue, there’s someone else in the store who will.
I also love that they’re just as happy to help you for ten minutes to find you the right twenty cent washer as they are more expensive items (which they allow you to buy as a single item instead of forcing you to buy a box full of them).
Of course, it’s a small store, so two cons would be that they don’t have the selection a big box store does and they can’t offer the discounted prices big stores can for buying in bulk, but their customer service is so outstanding that not rating them five stars would be a travesty.
But, I will never again step into a big box hardware chain unless I’m forced to because Katy Hardware doesn’t carry what I need.
This store is also fantastic for people who don’t know what they’re doing. I’ve gone in multiple times needing help — carrying a broken item or a photo on my phone. They help me find what I need to get the job done.

I’ve heard of this place but have never been. Stopped in today to get some lumber and to get some help on a project and I met a gentleman named Bobby, this guy was so great. He was patient with
my lack of knowledge in lumber and helped me figure out my project. I’ll definitely be shopping at Katy Hardware for now on and I’ll make sure to say hi to Mr Bobby when I do. Great experience.

Great service that you would NEVER get from a big box. I walked in, was helped immediately and was even given some tips. The Manager (I assume) was trying to find a part that he could just give me for free!!! Who does that anymore? Before the manager helped me, a young man (probably 18 – 22) helped me and was very knowledable. Probably as much as someone twice his age at a big box. Won’t be going back to a big box unless I have checked here first!!! Thanks Katy Hardware!

What can I say. Every time I walk in I’m greeted with a hello and can I help you find anything attitude. As long as I’m here and they are here I will continue to be a faithful customer.

Excellent customer service. Every time I enter this store I am greeted and asked what I am looking for. No need to spend time searching. They take right to where you need to go, and if the item is large they go load it in your vehicle.

While you may find a larger selection at a big box home improvement store, you will NOT get this level of service anywhere else. You will find everything you need. The staff are with you for questions, suggestions, and knowledge on just about anything. The small town experience at its best.

The store is probably not for everyone but I love going into Katy Hardware to just look around. It is not big and flashy like the big box stores, but it serves me for my purposes. The staff is friendly and even the young high-​school kids were able to answer my questions. The quality of items sold seem to be of higher quality than Lowes or Home Depot. Also, if you need keys made this is your place to go. The big box stores were unable to copy simple house keys as Katy Hardware came through for me on their first cut.

Great small town hardware store, excellent customer service and they had the wood I needed where the big boys didn’t. All sorts of trick of hardware, Highly recommend this store.

The quintessential small town hardware store, all it lacks is the wooden floor! This is one of those places where a citified fellow can go in and actually talk to someone who can figure out what they need and go right to the aisle/​bin and get it; try doing that at Lowes or Depot. They’ve got a little of everything that a typical homeowner might need and I really appreciate the time they take to make sure you’ve got what you need. Small, convenient, helpful, friendly — what else do you need in a store?
