Artistic Impressions Tattoo Studio and Art Gallery

While in town visiting my parents, I told my mom I wanted to get my nose and industrial pierced. She had got her tragus done a few months back and suggested Artistic Impressions. It’s in a sort of strip center and, as of October 2014, it just says «TATTOO,» not the actual name of the studio on the outside (although I do believe the name is on the door). This just set off bells for me because it gives off the impression that it’s just a run-​of-​the-​mill, «eh» kinda place. I’ve had multiple tattoos done, so I’ve been in my fair share of studios; both great and not so much. My mom assured me the piercer was good and the place was clean.
I was relieved when we walked in and were greeted politely by someone at the counter. The space feels lively, clean, and well-​kept. The red paint on the wall definitely jumps out at you! I met the piercer, «J,» or Jonathan Soechting, and he was very professional and helpful. We got the paperwork filled out and went back into the room to get everything done. He told me the cost upfront, which was 110 for both piercings (including the jewelry) which I thought was pretty reasonable. He also explained the different sizes to me and assisted with picking out the jewelry.
J cleaned everything thoroughly and explained the process to me for both piercings. I won’t say the piercings were without pain, but it didn’t have anything to do with him– it’s just the nature of the beast. He cleaned them up and then spent a few minutes explaining how often to clean them, when to clean them, and what to clean them with. He even suggested a few things to do if they became really painful or uncomfortable.
J also changed my mom’s tragus piercing free of charge, which I thought was nice. He also offered some tips and suggestions to her as well.
Some of the reviews previously left for this studio mention bad experiences both with the tattoo artists and the piercers. I, personally, did not see anyone getting a tattoo while here or interact with them, so I can’t comment on that. However, as of the end of October when I visited, J is the ONLY piercer. My mom apparently had another piercer do hers and J said he was let go because of various reasons. So, I’m unsure if J was the piercer where issues happened, but he is now the only one so if it was someone else, he doesn’t work there anymore. I had a great experience with J so, I just thought that was worth mentioning!

I came here to get my nose pierced. Jay is very helpful! He pierced my nose about 7 months back and I have been back to get my piercing changed.
When I first got it pierced, I encountered some small problems but was taken care of.
It is a very neat and clean place. I would suggest this place to someone looking to get a piercing.

called this place, as i havent gotten a tattoo in a while. it was very reasonably priced, and i was able to get in there as a walk in. G did my tattoo, and it is fantastic. super happy with the results. i have already made recommendations to him.

I absolutely recommend this place. They are great. Henry did a great job of fixing my previous tattoo. I had an idea in my head that he made come to life. I also like that everything is sterile and clean. I found these guys on a friends Facebook and did my research before I chose an artist. Though all are great artist I chose Henry. this shop is very clean, friendly staff and always so helpful and welcoming. I have gone here to get a few things done and always have such a great time there. They also had someone who just started working there around and one thing i loved is how much of a TEAM everyone was. They are so nice to each other, complimenting their work and giving helpful tips! i have learned that once you find a tattoo place you can trust never go anywhere else. i will never go anywhere else again!

About 5 months ago I went into artistic impressions to get my belly button pierced for my birthday with my family, the people were pretty nice, the place was very clean. The person who did my piercing was nice, talked to me during it because I was so nervous and just made me feel comfortable. But after he had done it he said that I was bleeding a lot more (watery blood) than most people should for getting their belly pierced, he said that I was most likely anemic and that I should go to a doctor and get it checked out. He swore up and down that I was. But he was very rough when cleaning it up, I understand you move it around to clean but he would lift it and push it pretty hard which hurt. Very bad, but I just kept it in until I started crying. And then he kept making jokes about me crying and said that I was the first person in 13 years to cry and just kept saying it and then told other people and started laughing with them. It was funny at first but I was in a lot of pain and I don’t think he knew.
My mom went to a doctor a couple weeks after because I was still bleeding and the doctor had told my mom that he went in too deep and busted a blood vessel. To this day (5 months later) I still bleed, I’m still in a lot of pain and I still have a purple bubble next to the top ball.

Awesome place to get your first tattoo, at first my mom thought tattoo parlors were all shady and sketchy looking but when we went to get me and my twins sisters tattoo done she felt comfortable and shes liked the experience. im especially happy with my tattoo I’ve wanted for almost a year and decided to get it on my leave time from the navy before we head out on cruise. It healed a lot faster than i thought and looks perfect, just what i wanted for a great price. The staff are professional and the artists know their stuff. I got my tattoo from Mike and he finished really quick and he knew exactly what i wanted when i threw ideas in the air.
