Nothing special about this place. This is your run of the mill Americanized Chinese restaurant with super-market quality sushi. The sushi chefs barely speak any English. They could not understand what I said to them. The whole time they were just putting on a fake smile and nodding their head as if they understood what I just asked them. I would have to really be starving to the point of death and there are no other restaurants that are open in order for me to come back here… Probably not coming back…

I have ate here several times since moving to this area and I must say the food is pretty good. No issues at this time.

This is the second time we get no service. We waited 10 min till my husband had to go get a server. The hostess did not even get a server for our table. Not only that, the times we do go they mess up or order. They cannot get nothing right and needs new management. Always the same guy at the front who does nothing. They lost our business. If you want to get ignored and get your order all mixed up come here!!!

The sushi here is definitely 5 stars. I’ve had better tempura, however. My husband also feels the teriyaki he usually gets isn’t as good as other places. But we always get great service, and love the sushi and the food plating is nice. Can sometimes be busy but have never had to wait for a table. Did I mention, the sushi is really good?

So torn with this place. The food is really good there’s nothing I’ve tried here that I didn’t like. But the service is just plain awful. Everyone acts like you’re an inconvenience and they hate their job. They all hangout behind the counter instead of doing their job. I’ve gone here a couple of times and services still always sucks. Id say if their servers weren’t so rude this place would do much better. Hate it that the service can’t be as good as the food. I mean you are a paying customer!

My husband and I very much enjoyed our dinner here and will be returning soon! As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown to our table. Our friendly waitress got to us very quickly and took our drink orders. Upon looking at the menu we were excited to see so many options for both Chinese and Japanese food(I know the name of the place gave that away, but apparently I’m a little slow!) We ordered chef special Chinese dinners with a side of sushi and it was all very awesome! The dinners tasted excellent, were fresh and weren’t greasy or oily. Also, like most Chinese food places, the chicken and beef were not fatty or tough to chew. The sushi was very tasty as well, and I would like to go back and try more. They also put a lot into presentation with little vegetables cut into little spirals and little flowers on the side which I thought was neat. The restaurant itself has a good feel to it and was comfortable and clean.

Best sushi in Katy! Excellent cooked food as well. I am a regular and I hesitate to write this review for fear that finding a table will get harder. You can’t go wrong with this place!

I love this restaurant! The ambiance is very cool, the place is clean, and the service is very attentive — all making the meal more enjoyable. The food is amazing. They offer a multitude of options of Chinese and Japanese, including sushi. I’ve tried their tofu and shrimp with lobster sauce, both had lots of flavor and nice portions. Their sushi is definitely the big winner. The presentation is unbeatable. I’ve had several different rolls, but my favorite is definitely the Happy Sumo Roll — shrimp, crab, all tempura fried with amazing sauce. I’m obsessed with it and I fantasize about it all the time. But seriously this place is great and you have to try it.

Food was ok, had to ask staff for a knife, only 2 tables so it was not overwhelmed. Nothing fabulous about the veggies and shrimp, spicy not too, and egg roll appetizer average. It was all warm, portions were large and appeared clean. Was told Wi-Fi worked only half the time.

Been here a few times for lunch and dinner. Nothing really special about this place. Nothing exciting about the food or the prices. Run of the mill strip mall sushi house. The place is clean and the servers seem friendly.

Went to eat lunch. The restraunt stunk like a fish market. I have never been in a Sushi restraunt that smelled so badly.

Modern atmosphere and various menu selections. We had Saturday lunch, starting with a ginger salad and a bowl of white rice, then an Out of Control roll along with hot sake and Kirin light. The roll was delicious. I’m only taking away one star for a staff that seems new and not quite up to speed on etiquette. Great experience, if we’re back in the area well try for dinner next time.

The Orange chicken and rice is plenty! Huge portions, you will definitely have left overs. The sushi is amazing! We have gotten take out and also dined in. The lady gaga roll and shaggy dog roll are our favorites! It wasn’t too crowded on a Friday night we were seated right away. Good service!!!

We were excited to try this place after several of our friends raved about it. It always seems to have a decent crowd. We ordered several things from the menu. The sushi rolls we ordered were good and fresh. Good taste and well put together. We then ordered some fried rice and lo mein. These were not good. Not one dish had any taste to it. The vegetable fried rice didn’t taste like anything, seriously like eating nothing. Same thing with the pork fried rice and also the chicken lo mein. No dish had any taste whatsoever. Now I am not looking for a salt block in my food but I never have had Asian food that had absolutely zero taste. Even the chicken and pork didn’t taste like anything! We were pretty disappointed with the meal overall. I don’t understand how none of the hot food had any taste. I have never seen that! I did check out the restroom and it was in good order. I had to make a post meal deposit and enjoyed the facilities. I liked their hand soap.

A good place if you cannot decide on Chinese or Japanese. While some at our table had Japanese food, I opted for the Chinese. Hot and sour soup was a slight disappointment. Although it was full of vegetables and tofu, the broth was almost completely devoid of flavor. Not very hot, nor very sour. I like it with a little kick to it, and there was none. Others at our table had the miso soup. It was very flavorful. I tried some, and I preferred it to the hot and sour. Dinner portions were large and of relatively good value. The tempura shrimp had panko batter instead of tempura batter, but it was good and consisted of 8 shrimp. The tempura vegetables were a bit greasy, and that is disappointing. Half the meal is vegetables. The teriyaki chicken was served over a bed of lettuce and a side of steamed rice. Comments about the dish were not impressive, but not bad. The best dish at our table was the General Tso’s Chicken. It wasn’t the best I have had, but it was a good, solid choice. We didn’t try any sushi/sashami, but we did notice that many of the tables around us were ordering it. We will give this place another try just to see if this is a better option. All in all, a mediocre restaurant with a good selection of Chinese and Japanese food.

The suburbs are coming up!!! Real talk, this place easily reminds me of The Blue Fish with its sushi and blue lights at the bar. So my girl Chyna G. and I decided to hit up this spot for lunch and I was not disappointed. Service was pretty good and I decided to take a chance and order the general tso’s chicken for lunch with egg roll and hot & sour soup. Actually I was pretty impressed with how good the dish was. I’m not a true fan of Americanized Chinese food but some GSC made right can’t be beat. Now it’s not the best I’ve ever had but it was pretty darn close. And the lunch prices are cheap… The hot & sour soup and the egg roll were acceptable, not close to the best I’ve had but 3 stars anyway. Let’s see how the sushi tastes… I’m a semi-snob, I’ll report back when I find out…

Not overly impressed after my third try. Places has lots of potential but something is missing with this place and I cannot figure it out. Food– Rice was extremely wet for my sashimi roll. I know this is part of the process of making sushi but too wet for my liking. Fish taste reasonably fresh. Décor-maybe it is the layout. Very open and a bar that is always vacant which is the length of the resturant. Lots of seating in this place. Booths for groups or big parties. Service– to-go menu was very difficult to read with print set at 2.5 Time Roman font(JK)…in other words tiny. The host provided a regular menu shortly after me commenting about the small print. So the deal breaker for me was one the hostess refilling the straw holder behind the bar. I watched her pull 2 handful of straws from a Sysco box with her bare hands and pat the tops of the straws to make sure they were in properly, then rearrange them with her bare hands. Not good. Needless to say I saw her handling menus and doing lot of things with her hands before restocking the straws – w/o washing the hands. That was a total turn off. Although close to home will not go back.

Love love loved it! Starting from the moment we walked in the door the hostess greeted us with such enthusiasm and energy but it didn’t end there, our server Spring, was absolutely amazing. When she saw that we couldn’t make our minds she was quick to jump in and recommend something for us. Service was quick, attentive and super friendly. If we didn’t live in Dallas, we would be here every day. Hate Houston, absolutely loved this place. Great job! If we didn’t
