This place is always pleasant, the food is nice and staff is pleasant even when it gets super crowded.

Five stars for sure for Blue Dolphin. I’ve been here maybe 30 times and have had a five star experience every single time. The staff are lovely people, the food is delicious(homemade pasta), delicious soups, daily specials… and the atmosphere is adorable. This is like no diner in the world. We’re so lucky to have Blue Dolphin in Katonah.

If you’re in need of some good food in the Northern Westchester region, Blue Dolphin should be your number one choice. The restaurant is small, so expect a wait if you’re looking to come here during prime dinner hours, but the food is so worth it. Everything from their pesto and asparagus dish to their ravioli is filling and seemingly uses fresh ingredients. And the salad dressing, randomly enough, is an amazing, exclusive restaurant recipe — especially with the Mediterranean salad.

Nice people, mediocre food. The food is supposedly Caprese but if you’ve ever been to Capri, this food has little similarity. Great people, v tight quarters but okay food. Overrated because they have no competition.

Best Restaurant in town! Authentic Italian food and wine. The minestrone soup is always a winner! And the desserts! Blue Dolphin does it best!

Super cute from the outside and inside. Small and cozy, almost feels like an old country cottage. Came here before a show at Caramoor on a Saturday night so it was PACKED. Waited about 20 minutes for a table and then they tried to seat us in the back on 2 stools where the busboys roll napkins and clean silverware and it smelled like cleaning solution. We opted to wait for something else and asked if we could put our food order in while we waited, which they said was fine and then never took. After another 15 minutes of standing around a nice couple who was only having drinks at the bar decided to stand and gave us seats. We sat down and waited about 10 minutes for someone to notice. I understand that it was a crazy busy night, but the service we received, when we finally received it, wasn’t anywhere close to nice, they almost seemed annoyed that we were there. Food wise, we ordered 2 pasta dishes which were massive and decent. Nothing to write home about, but filling. I’d give this place another chance on a less crowded night and hope for a more welcoming vibe. I really wanted to like it.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. I had the Caesar Salad and Ravioli. My wife had the seafood linguini. All of it was very tasty especially the salad. The problem I have with Italian restaurant’s is that I’m never blown away by the food. The frozen ravioli I buy from the local grocery and a jar of pre made sauce is just as satisfying. But in terms of the ambiance Blue Dolphin gets a good rating. We are new to the area and enjoy discovering new places.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. In the past 3 years that we’ve been in the area people have raved about this place, It’s obvious there is a lack of credible eateries in Katonah. Speaking of in Katonah just let me say that the other two options(which I’ve reviewed) Willy Nicks &KT are horrible! How can a place like this not support a good restaurant. We waited at the counter/bar for about 15 minutes on a Tuesday evening at 7:30 for a seat and my wife ordered a glass of wine. Before she got hers I noticed one of the staff giving a decent pour to another customer. When we ordered a glass of wine the young man gave us the chinciest pour imaginable. I joked and said“You must be the owner”, he replied; «I’m related» Ah! the young son… REALLY! The boss’s kid gives crappy pours! We were seated and bread was brought to the table. If they are trying to be a «ristorante» don’t bring crappy white bread to the table that is along the lines of what you’d find as a hoagy in a deli and also crispy fried things like you get in a Chinese take out for your soup… GROSS! My wife had chicken cacciatore which was NOT, it was 2 small sauteed chicken breasts on a plate with some crummy sauce with mushrooms and onions poured over the breasts. My spinach manicotti was mediocre at best and the sauce had a vinegar tang to it that made it unappealing. I’ve had way better manicotti in a pizza joint. The owner’s kid with the small pour was very nice and affable, other than that the service was sub-par and I had to ask for water and the server seemed detached. Needless to say unlike Arnold«WEWON’T BEBACK.» In addition I now know whose palates I can trust for restaurant recommendations and who I can’t. Give Katonah a wide berth for eateries, there are much better places in Croton-On-Hudson, Brewster and locations further south.

A wonderful and charming place that has a open and friendly neighborhood feel! The food tasted wonderful and their fresh bread was almost melting in my mouth and tasted so good! My shrimp salad(grilled shrimp) was very tasty, fresh YUMMYLICIOUS!

I can tell you that this is not authentic Italian. I’m reading reviews that say the owner is from Capri. I’ve been to Capri, my family is from Maiori. The food is nothing like this. Maybe the person or persons preparing the food need to be brought up to speed. I will say that service was great, waiter was friendly and attentive. But very disappointed with the food.

Mediocre to bad food and overpriced. We ordered a pasta w lamb ragu and it was… dreadful. Dry chewy lamb that seemed like it was from the night before. $ 20 plate of pasta that was borderline inedible. Really not much to recommend this place. Burger was average — best I can say about it.

My figlia had artwork shown in the Katonah Museum of Art so we stopped in for some dinner afterward, The Godfather was impressed so I won’t be charging them tax. The fresh appetizers were just portioned right without filling you up and malto bene. The entrees of pasta were perfectly al dente with not too much sauce and the veal tender as a gomars kiss. Service was quick and attentive to the Godfathers wishes. As you know the Godfather is not skinny so the the tight fit in the both was worth it due to the great food and vino. The one problem is l can’t bring Luca Brasi here, he’s too big and he eats too much.

Just not good. Happened to be in the area and was starving and had a hankering for Italian. I have no idea why an Italian restaurant would be called Blue Dolphin, or look like a diner inside and out. But it’s Katonah so what do I know? Big mistake. Bad apps, bad salads, inedible bread, pasta just an insult.

I’ve eaten at other Italian Restaurants in Katonah, and none of them can hold a flame to Blue Dolphin!!! Home to Friday night dining when I arrive from NYC to manage my client’s Estate. We look forward to the attentive care, generous portions of delicious, authentic Italian delights that end up in a Doggy Bag to be enjoyed again the next day!!! Some of my «FAVS» are, grilled octopus, grilled trout, spinach manicotti, chicken and rice soup, pea soup, and the salmon, which like my own melts in your mouth, is always cooked to PERFECTION!!! Thank you Blue Dolphin for making my mouth water every time, and for making my visits to Katonah memorable!!!
