Mechanic2GO

I recently had my first experience with Mechanic2Go so I wasn’t sure what kind of risk I might be taking but the entire experience turned out to be positive.
I had a noise under the hood. I wasn’t sure if I should chance driving the car to a shop and possibly find myself stuck on the side of the road or if I should have it towed. A friend suggested I call Mechanic2Go. Oz came over the same day and was able to identify the problem within moments, a bad bearing in my alternator. He ran to Napa, got the part, and within a couple hours I was good to go. While he was under the hood he cleaned my battery terminals and made sure everything else was ship-​shape.
I appreciated that he showed me the bad part and took time to explain and show me why it was bad and needed to be replaced. It gave me confidence that I wasn’t being jerked around.
Oz is ASE Certified. He did mechanics for Uncle Sam over in Iraq and still serves in the National Guard. In my opinion, he is genuinely one of the good guys and I will definitely call him again next time I need help.

Oz looks out for the customer and does good work. Here’s what I like best; value. He gave an initial quote for the repair ($ 400 – 600, in line with my online search), shopped around for deals on the part, and was able to come in over $ 100 less than the initial quote. Beyond that, the car wasn’t drivable. I was looking at having it towed but since Oz does house calls, that saved the cost of a tow. He’s also certified, so can document that he knows what he’s doing. Highly recommended.

All I can say is WOW
this guy came to my house at 4pm on a Sunday and had to go to Napa buy the parts
And come back to install them so that I could get to work on Monday
