I don’t know why we have never come to Sukhothai but this trip we were staying across the street and we were looking for some lunch. I am so sorry that we never did it sooner because this isn’t just great island food but some of the best Thai I have ever had!
The woman who greeted us appeared to be handling all of the restaurant functions, from serving to cooking which makes the fact that the food was excellent just that more special. I had the Paradise Chicken while The Wife had a tofu with noodles and peanut sauce. My meal, served with sticky rice, was so flavorful that I caught myself drinking the sauce as I boxed up the leftovers. The Wife’s dish was just as good with the tofu having a good crispy texture.
I swear, I will never come to Kauai again without going to Sukhothai.

Solid Thai. The Tom Kha was excellent — just the right amount of spice and lime. The larb was also good, though it could have used a squeeze of lime and some cilantro. Probably my least favorite was the red curry. It was fairly tasty but lacked a kick of spice. Overall a good experience.

Went here for dinner on a whim when another restaurant was closed. Food was very good — certainly as good as about any Thai food I’ve eaten in Seattle. Price was excellent for a dinner in Kauai. Would recommend to anyone looking for an excellent meal.

Best Thai food you will find from the East side to the North Shore. Their food is solid, especially the tom kha soup, spring rolls, satay tofu and their curries. Don’t compare it to the best Thai restaurants you’ve been to around the world, if you are craving Thai on this island Sukothai is a great option.

It was just okay. I really wanted to like it and thought it was going to be great based on the spring rolls as they were amazing! The dishes afterwards were just so-​so. A definite lack of spices and flavor. I love Thai fried rice and this rice was not very good.
Another reviewer said mentioned the menus were sticky and I found this to be true as well. I really dislike a dirty menu as it makes me wonder how clean the rest of the restaurant is.
