My family and I went to go have a night out and do some bowling, they said there were reservations, but would put us down on the list and said it wouldn’t take long. Of course that was fine so we just hung out and waited for our name, they called a few names and still never called ours. We waited for 45+ minutes still waiting for our turn. So we left. The whole time we were there, there was about 12 lanes unoccupied. Disappointed.

I wish I could give zero stars to this place. After calling and requesting a lane, my friends and I were treated so poorly. We arrived to the place and were told all the lanes were full. There are so many lanes open! So we waited around after being put on a wait list. An hour later we check in with the counter and the grumpy old man informs us that the lady at the counter threw the wait list out. WTF. We ask to be put on the list and the old man informs us we are next. We check in another 30 minutes later and he tells us it’ll be 80 dollars for the lane. We all were shocked because 80 dollars for 2 hours was ridiculous. No way we’d spend that much when we had a living social deal for 2 hours of bowling for 35 dollars with no restrictions on the deal. We refuse to come back to this place. Also, while we were in line, we saw the old man screw over a family of 6 with their previous reservation only to have it taken by others and their name was scratched out!!! We couldn’t believe it. I would never spend another dollar at this establishment. It’s awful.

If you are looking for a cold beer and affordable, no frills bowling, this is your place. This bowling alley is clean and prices are very reasonable. We did not eat any food here, but they do have a food counter and bar area. I’m not sure what else I can comment on, as nothing really stands out. Parkway lanes is a great place for some low key bowling with your buddies.

Wow, great place to take youngsters during the holiday break, staff is very accommodating and friendly. I thought the price was reasonable, food is just OK. A fun place and who bowls anymore…

Don’t even bother with this place. Management is a joke and the place is run so inefficiently. Rarely do I get a lane quickly, even if business is slow. Employees extremely rude. Literally every other bowling alley I’ve ever been to works better and treats customers better. What a dump.

I go here pretty regularly after 9 or 930 on weekdays its like 12 dollars for all you can bowl till 1 am which is a pretty good deal. the staff is fine what do people expect at a bowling alley. bartenders are nice pour heavy and foods pretty good only real complaint is the food takes forever to get. recently ordered chicken fingers and it took at least 30 min to get. regardless very good chicken fingers and side of fries good.

Worst customer service ever. We have a family tradition of bowling over thanksgiving every year. Usually we go to mission bowl but we chose Ward parkway lanes this year since mission bowl is still not reopened due to the fire. Our night was going great until our 3rd game when the lane we were bowling on repeatedly started to malfunction. Each time the staff took 10+ minutes to fix the issue(balls were stuck and not being returned to lane and pins would not reset despite hitting reset button). It was coming down to the last 30 minutes before close and we were in the 8th frame(yes, 30 minutes to finish 2 frames). The lane malfunctioned again where we needed help from the employees since the reset button was not fixing the issue(again!!). Once the issue was FINALLY fixed there was 10 minutes left. This is when they decided it was ok to shut down all the lanes with no warning 10 minutes early. After requesting for 5 more minutes since the maintenance on the lane delayed our game and we had not finished we were informed that it was OUR fault the lane had continually malfunctioned all night and that we needed to leave. We inquired how it was our fault and were met by a threatening attitude by the employee, Collin Michael. No apology. No further explanation. Needless to say we will never be returning to Ward Parkway Lanes and will make sure none of our friends will be giving this«establishment» business either. THEABSOLUTEWORST!!! This place needs to go out of business the customer service is SOBAD!!!

Worst employees on the planet. Fire that man and woman as they don’t deserve their customer facing jobs.

We had a Groupon and a 7th person, who paid for a lane. The lady at the main counter was so rude and refused to let us split adults and children, even though we were the only people here. The cook was very nice and the food was much better then I would have expected at a bowling alley. Still, would not recommend based on how rude the employee behind the counter was.

I’m pretty shocked by the poor reviews for this place. We’ve been several times and have been so impressed by the super friendly staff, and how clean the place is. Yes it’s old– but it’s spotless. If you want a fancy hipster bowling alley, there are a few in town, but this is a dive-y neighborhood place that’s been around for decades. It’s got about 30 lanes, a good size game area, and a huge lounge with full bar, an air hockey table, a few foosball tables, and several pool tables. This time we came with a Groupon that got us 8 slices of pizza(it wasn’t fancy, but it was hot, yummy, and served quickly,) ball & shoe rental for 5, and 2 hours of bowling. We bowled 3 games in a little over 2 hours and they didn’t charge us any extra. They even cleared our table when we were finished eating. The whole staff was super nice. I think it might be KS/MO law anyway now, but it’s so nice to come to a non-smoking bowling alley. I’d stayed away for a few years because the smoke smell was so gross and headache-inducing. But now it’s actually a total pleasure to bowl and I don’t go home in desperate need of a tobacco-eliminating shower/shampoo/clothes washing.

Its the rude plople that dont bowl by the rule. Like they have no bowling shoes. They wont to bowl in outside shoes. It messes up the floor. Like the Rockherst high school kid. Then when other people bowl the floor is sticky for them. And hitting the rake realy makes me mad. They dont wait for the rake to go up before bowling. That rake cost around 12 to 15 hunred dallors. But they dont care. But not all of them do it. This place is fun, they have music, beer, food and some nights they have a DJ playing music. One other thang the people come in calling the workers rasist because their white and they wont give them something for free or a deal. One day a man bought a beer and thought he could bowl for free, since he bought a beer. I laughed my but off. only thing free is the kids bowling two games free coupon. Everyone is nice here, if youer nice to them. So be nice and come have some fun. And if you dont know how to bowl, ask they will help.

I had fun. It’s better if one goes with a group of friends not a first date kinda place. The prices for the food are you serious!!! $ 14 for a small plate of chilli cheese fries that’s their«large size» enough for just one person and you can for get about a refund. Drinks this lady kept scooping up the ice with the cup!!! She had an ice scooper sitting on the counter!!! Does she not know that the glass could possibly chipped ice and glass look the same horrible. Then she charged me 5 for a seven7 and the next time she charged me 6.75 I called her out on it and I was in the wrong! I will make sure I bring in my own booze next time and eat before I show up here again And have some cold sandwiches in a cooler in my car.

Decent little bowling alley, beer is a little high and the selection is mediocre, staff is friendly enough for a good time

This place is a complete dive. Pretty amazed that it stays open with all of the other bowling options on KC. I’d avoid this one.

Would be a lot of fun if it weren’t for the awful«butt rock» music videos on loop. Angry white people yelling is only tolerable for so long.

Groupon lured us here with a great bargain for bowling for 6. It included a large pizza, which we ordered after we got situated at our lane. It took F O R E V E R for the pizza to arrive. When it did, the lady slammed it down and said«it burned, so we cut the crust off» and walked away. No apology. No plates. No napkins. No cutlery. Had to go and hunt her down to find plates and cutlery. She seemed angry that I needed anything. Seriously lady, how are we even supposed to pick up a piece of pizza when you cut the crust off? Pitcher of soda was seriously overpriced. Eight dollars? Our score computer was sticky and hard to use, it’s touch screen didn’t really recognize the inputs. Must have wasted 15 minutes just trying to get the lane set up with our names. Later on we had another«visit» from the bar lady. This time she had a handful of empty shot glasses and wanted to know if our group wanted some shots. She had a foam cup with some sort of alcohol in it and was wanting to pour us some on the spot, no thanks. She was pushy about it too, I finally had to be firm and say«not that kind of party, lady». Overall this place was about the worst bowling alley I’ve ever been to. So much improvement needed here… especially training for the staff, wake up people, you work in the hospitality industry!

Before I start my rant on the customer service we received, I will say that we didn’t have to wait for a lane, and the food and drinks were quick, and they had plenty of shoe size options and bowling balls. Now, as for the counter guy. Oh my gosh, I’ve never met anyone more obviously unhappy and pissed off in my whole life! I went bowling with my husband, another couple, and their 2 little girls at about 7:30pm on Friday 6÷13÷14. The men were still outside while me and my friend went to the counter to check in. We asked about if we pay per lane and said we were would like to play 2 games. The man rudely snapped and said(as if we were stupid) «you don’t pay for a lane, you just pay for games» then rolled his eyes. Ummm… Ok jerk! I used to work at a bowling alley and sometimes we had all you can bowl, just pay for a lane. So then we asked for shoes and you can tell it really bothered him that he had to do any work at all. So we get on our lane and the little girls couldn’t find a ball that was light. We were sick of dealing with the rude guy so we sent the men up to ask for some. They said he seemed irritated again that he had to get up. He came back with 1 light children’s bowling ball. We needed 2, so he asked for another one. You would have thought we asked him for his first born child. What a jerk! We obviously had 2 kids with us! There were only like 20 people there!!! So then we finish our first game and the lanes shut down. We sent the men up again and the guy said we only paid for 1 game. We had told him several times we needed 2 games. I loathed this man by this time. We packed up and left. I will NEVER return here. He is lazy and the worst example of a customer service employee you can imagine. Maybe his dog died or something, but he was absolutely horrible. But I will add that he was nice to me for a minute when another man came out from the back(must’ve been his boss). I should’ve complained then. Edit: oh and one last thing, they apparently had a special, 3 games for $ 10. You’d think he would have offered that as we were buying food and drinks, but nope! Whatever, obviously they don’t want business.

Ward Parkway Lanes isn’t necessarily the fanciest or friendliest bowling alley I’ve patronized, but they get the job done when it comes to a fun night out with friends. A friend purchased a Groupon and invited about 12 of us to bowl for 2 hours. I actually ended up scoring the highest I’ve ever bowled at this location, so I guess I can give props to their lanes for that! They have cosmic bowling and a DJ on the weekends starting at 9 and a bar for your drinking needs. We asked the bartender for water and she brought us out a couple of pitchers. Their pizza was actually decent for bowling alley pizza. I think I ate at least 3 slices. If your just looking to bowl, without any super fancy perks that bowling alleys have nowadays, then Ward Parkway will be just fine!
