Superior Moving & Storage

I’ve used Superior for multiple jobs and had an excellent experience each time! The movers were on time, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure all of our belongings were protected during the move. I’d definitely recommend them, and would hire them again!

Superior Moving & Storage did an EXCELLENT job on our move!
They covered my new carpets with plastic runner so it stayed clean. They put pads around the door frames to avoid nicks. They crew was very polite and helpful. They worked quickly and efficiently.
I have recommended them to family. They moved my dad and his move went just as smoothly as mine.

Superior moved our household goods… unfortunately.
Our troubles started when they asked permission to «start» moving us one day early. Start they did– they swarmed us, in fact; we hadn’t quite finished packing, so they did some of it for us– very clumsily. Some things just got thrown in at the last minute: for instance, the mirror top of an antique music cabinet. The next day, only 2 guys showed up, so the pace was rather less frenetic– but by that time, we felt overwhelmed and somewhat violated. Did I mention that they scratched our hardwood floors when moving furniture to wrap it?
The day the van showed up at the new house, again, there were only two guys. We had to help; it was a large load– too much for only two. My husband ended up putting together the furniture that had been taken apart. Much of the wrapped furniture was left unwrapped, some on end. They were nice enough guys, but the job was just too much for two, as mentioned.
As for the condition of the goods– well, a tall, slim plant stand, obviously vulnerable, got snapped in half; clearly it was badly placed in the truck. A chest was damaged– its foot was sheared off. There were holes in things, such as the cushion for a papasan chair (how that happened, I don’t know). I’m a very careful packer; but if too many boxes are piled up, things get crushed and damaged, don’t they. Into the bargain, because we didn’t pack everything, stuff’s been mislaid: we still can’t find parts of things, which for whatever reason got separated. I’m just crossing my fingers that we can find everything.
Altogether, I regret hiring Superior– and would never do so again. It was a bad move (pardon the pun) — possibly the worst ever, and I have moved internationally more than once. I’ve never had so much damage, so much confusion, so much chaos at both ends. Avoid these guys like the plague.
I should say that the one silver lining was that we paid less than anticipated, because we moved some things ourselves… All undamaged and intact, of course!

AVOID
Unprofessional, cost over runs, poorly packed so all goods damaged… Writing this review so you can avoid being ripped off, messed around and heartbroken.
Had the family heirlooms out for them, photographed, and itemized and got a bid… which they later viewed as an estimate— they moved like snails, ran way over time for such a few items and it was not professionally packed. So when shipped 5 boxes– they arrived in fine condition but everything inside was broken or damaged. heavy things were packed on top of fragile things. Many items — crystal and such were shattered and the company was not even apologetic and demanded the fees and invoked their .39 cent per pound default insurance as they did not offer more coverage. The cost of what could be repaired was $ 2500 dollars and we paid them $ 1900 on top and they gave us about 37.80 for repairs ! Decided to repack everything at additional cost as we had no choice as they would not repack or make good.
