I have been going there for about 2 yrs. now. They play different music different nights. I usually love their live arabic music too. Even tho i dont know it i still like themusic. VERY chill enviroment. They have one set pricing for ALL NIGHT smoking. duh. Their servers are really nice too. THE BEST hookah bar i have been to yet. :)

We love the service here! Everyone is so kind, and we are always greeted with a smile. The flavors are wonderful, and the tea is the best I have ever had.

I returned to Sinbad’s on Thursday evening. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by Sami (the owner). On this evening I tried the shisha «Tropicool.» This is a fruity blend that tastes of a blend of tropical fruit. If you’re a novice as I am, trust Sami to pick your flavor! I was introduced to the manager, who made me an Oreo Mocha Latte that was absolutely delicious! The serving is huge & well worth the $ 5.
I chatted with Sami and learned more about hookah business operations in MO. The laws are strict and seem unreasonable but there’s nothing to do but follow them, hoping that one day they will become a bit more lenient.
The night was chilly, but I did manage to tolerate sitting on the back patio for a little while. It’s absolutely fabulous to sit in a quiet space among the stars while enjoying the smoke. On this night, the inside was just as pleasant with a mixed crowd. I chatted briefly with a young couple & also with a couple of regulars who are Sami’s friends. With the ventilation system & the open windows, I barely noticed the smoke.
If you are reading this review trying to decide where to go for a nice smoke, a cool atmosphere, and a very accommodating owner, I encourage you to give Sinbad’s a try. You’ll be glad you did!

If you like to pay too much for hookah, this is the place for you! If you like to not smoke hookah, no problem! You will never have coals on your hookah after the first two! There is no respect between business owner and customer. Takes going to other hookah bars personally and takes it upon himself to make your next visit back unpleasant. The overall experience starts fine but at the end, it isn’t worth your time to start going.
Overall I am displeased that I wasted the time and money I’ve spent there over the past two years.

Overall great hookah bar. I’m a regular here and have been going here for about 3 years now. There really isn’t a better hookah bar in Kansas City. Great environment, great hookahs and great service.

I kinda selfishly don’t wanna reveal my hidden lil gem here, but Sinbads is such an amazing Kansas City staple. Sinbads isnt really a secret its the time frame that i go though that i keep on the hush. See i go when it first opens, grab a tasty beverage and bee line it to the back and snag my comfy spot, and than spill my school work on the table. Yep I study here, I know it seems crazy but I love the atmosphere because you see at this point its not real smoky yet but it is super chill. I even brought a couple study groups here. Hell I’ve even been on a blind date here. Than after I’ve studied to point my brain can’t take it anymore I order hookah. It’s just incredilbe i can go to super stressed to oh so chill after that first icey smokey sweet puff. i love this transition.
If its you or somebody else first time go for something fruity, two apples is the first traditional flavor, but its got some licorice notes that’s more of an acquired taste.
Late night weekend atmosphere is mostly collage age, hipster, incredibly rowdy awesome bunch. Weekday nights alot regulars but a lil more low key than weekends. Open most holidays and when you think nothing else is open, Sinbads is open. Even brought my cousins after thanksgiving dinner, smoking hookah really is the art of doing nothing.
Bring your friends, your favorite game or people watch, witch is also really entertaining here. First time pace your self on the puffing, too much first go and you can get a little lite headed. Don’t let them pile the coals on, unless you like hot and heavy. I suppose my personal preference is one coal that i move around occasionally to get an evenly tasting steady smoke.

Been here 3 times in my visits to Kansas City. Love the hookah, the atmosphere and the people! Will definitely be back again and again.

I have been coming here several times a week for a couple years now. The atmosphere is great. The employees are probably the best in the entire city, and the owner actively engages the customers.
At this point, I am definitely considered a regular here. The employees know me by name; they keep my hookah going all night long, and they welcome opportunities to talk about just about anything (from the weather to intense philosophical theories).
The location can definitely get hyped up on the weekends. It can get a bit loud at times, but since they expanded into two buildings, this hasn’t really been a problem. On week days, though, there is not a more chill place to hang out in all of Kansas City. It’s great for finishing up some homework and catching up with friends. And on the weekends it’s a great place to let loose from the week and enjoy some time with friends.
In the end, this is my regular hangout, and it is the first place that I take newcomers to the city.

I’ve always had a good experience here. For my birthday, my friend that planned it talked to the owner and Sami sang me happy birthday in front of everyone (really embarrassing, but really fun) and played his keyboard. He let my friend put the cake in the fridge in the back and let her reserve a table for us. The owner is a really nice guy and the hookah is inexpensive, the music isn’t too loud and they have good flavors.

Do not recommend their hookah at all. Great staff and good service but their hookahs are not well maintained whatsoever. I had to ask for 3 different hoses in order to get an OK one.

First time in Kansas City, found this hookah bar… Might not ever leave!!! Love it! Great flavors, great variety, great staff. Only thing that would make it better was if I brought a killer board game!

I have been to Sinbad’s about 3 times ! It’s always different ! Sometimes they have live music and dancing and sometimes it’s more relaxing and just «chill». Regardless it’s always a great time. I go there in girls nights with my best friends and on Friday and Saturday nights it gets pretty packed ! But they have seating in the back outside and in the front ! It isn’t expensive and they have drinks and snacks there as well. When we leave they always tell us to come again and ask how it was for us ! It’s nice for sure !

We have gone here three times and most of the time it is fantastic, just a note that if you do not like huge crowds and are into the more calm side of hookah do not go on a weekend during the evening. packed houses can kill the vibe.
other then that its amazing. we normally go during the day or week day hours and the vibe is super mellow so it is enjoyable.
We recommend mixing Jasmine and Plum as the taste is wonderful.
Pirates cave is alright but you have to be in the mood for it.
over all i recommend this place if you are new to the scene or a veteran of the puffy white smoke.

So I went here last night (Halloween) for my friends birthday, and I had a lot of fun! We got there around 5:10 and stayed for about two hours. The place wasn’t crowded but it wasn’t dead. I was in a party of 4, and there were about 10 other people in the joint. This was my first time trying hookah, and I enjoyed it. We had the Blue Mist, Peach, Watermelon, and Double Apple. Everything was great and the drinks are delicious! I’m definitely coming back here!

Love that this place has a laid back atmosphere, the servers are attentive and friendly, and it’s great to people watch. What I think they could improve on is the lighting (too bright!) and the seating. The edge seating was hard and many chairs had springs that stuck out and very uncomfortable to sit on.

After an evening filled with mixed drinks (ghetto Sonic), Dirty Dianas (CoffeeCakeKC), PB&J Pourovers (Oddly Correct), and Gyros (random Westport food truck), my friends and I needed somewhere to sit back and relax for awhile. I suggested we check out Sinbad’s and it turned out to be an excellent decision (yay me).
My friends choose Mango as our flavor and I had them add Guava, too. There’s a set price for a 2 person Hookah and it’s 3 dollars extra for each addition person. The inside was packed, so we took our number to the spacious back patio to enjoy the cool, Spring air.
We stayed for about an hour and they even found us a space inside when it got a bit too chilly outside.
Besides the beautiful weather and the tasty flavor combination, the customer service at Sinbad’s was an added bonus to the experience. They stop by a lot to check on you, but it’s never intrusive. They were kind and helpful and always had fresh coals. On more than one occasion, we took a moment to discuss how nice these employees were to us.
Sinbad’s has moved up in my book. If I hadn’t already had ridiculous amounts of coffee that evening, I would had ordered their Turkish coffee.

I first checked out Sinbad’s on Unilocal and decided to go based on the reviews (thanks Unilocalers). I had been to one hookah place in KC that I didn’t really care for and decided to try something new.
The staff greeted me when i walked in and explained their hookah process. I wasn’t sure on which flavor to choose, so I let the employee pick. The flavor was pretty good and the hookah lasted a good length.
The owner also offered me a free cup of hot tea, which was delicious. Sinbad interacts with the guests, which gives it a more welcoming feel. They also have music as well and Sinbad plays the piano sometimes.
Good place to go for hookah and tea and I will be going back. Oh yea, they also have free wifi.

All the cute/​hot people in Kansas City apparently hang out here. I felt like I was in an A&F ad here. Even the workers. The workers were cool too. Since Missouri has much better alcohol laws than Kansas, we had some local sage wisdom on where to find some of uncle’s cough syrup nearby thanks to the helpful coal guy.
Open relatively late. In Westport so it is the cool part of town.
Grape mint for one and Cola for the other hookah. Strict two person to a hookah rule. Bathrooms clean but single only so you might need to wait a bit.
This is a really chill, laid back atmosphere to hang out and smoke. And talk with some locals if you are a traveler. Broad mix of ages from 18 (?) to people more obviously in their 30s.
Big fan of the place and their flavor mixes. I would happily return, and hopefully be able to hit Beer Kitchen as well.
