Food was very good. Good price for portion. I had the omelet with cheese and ham. My wife had the bigger breakfast that has B&G, Bacon, Egg, Hashbrowns and she added toast. She couldn’t finish hers but I tried the B&G, not a big fan of them anyway but these were pretty tasty. I added a little pepper and they were good to go!!! Neat interior with the bank vault and all. I will be back for sure!

Stopped in 20 minutes before closing time, and was graciously served a quick lunch. The hot roast beef sandwich under the kids/senior menu was a hearty lunch indeed, and the price can’t be beat. I’d stop by again if I lived in the area.

Customer service does not exist in this establishment. Service is very slow, even if you are the only person in the entire restaurant. Food is ok, but with what you have to deal with to get it, I’d rather eat microwaved oatmeal at home.

The day we went, it was like a bazillion degrees outside. Roxanne’s A/C could not keep up. It was hot inside the restaurant. The service was attentive, the food was good. Standard café fare. I had my baby, so I had to change her at some point. They don’t have a changing table in the bathroom. So, I had to change my baby on the floor of a public bathroom. Now, changing tables are not required, but if you sell yourself as a family establishment, you probably should have a changing table in your bathroom so moms don’t have to do it on their hands in and knees… on the floor of a public bathroom. Do I need to elaborate as to how gross that is???

I ordered breakfast with two eggs over medium. The eggs came out covered on both sides with brown crust. Obviously their grill was too hot. If breakfast is one of your specialties, you should learn how to cook eggs!

Juuuuusssttt love Roxannes. Breakfast is awesome the help staff are fantastic. Just can’t go wrong here. KELLYROCKS by the way. The lunch is very good as well but a big part of the business is breakfast. The bank building is pretty cool with the big ol’ vault door greeting you as you walk in.

The concept of it being in an old bank is cool, but the set up is tight and uncomfortable. The staff is unfriendly, went there with 2 other ladies for lunch, and it seems as the waitress that sat us didn’t want to take care of us so she handed us over to someone else. They are unfriendly, the food is so so. I’d rather just go to cracker barrel.

Came here for breakfast on 5÷24÷15. This was without a doubt the worst service I’ve ever received at a restaurant. Waited 15 minutes for anyone to even come to our booth. Waitress get the drink orders wrong and when I asked for what we were missing she didn’t even make eye contact, just mumbled«mmhm». Took 30 minutes to get food after we ordered. I will never go back again.

Let’s be honest. Nothing ruins an omelette like a slice of that processed square American single half melted on top. Haven’t had anything here worth going back for, so I would say that overall this place is cute, clean, friendly, and very average.

My husband and I enjoy having breakfast out most Saturday and Sunday mornings. We live only about two miles from Roxanne’s on North Crooked Road. It would make sense for us to dine there, but seldom do. We prefer to travel the distance to a variety of other(and much better!) breakfast venues in the north KC area. The primary negative is that Roxanne ‘s coffee is like muddy water(I have seen other similar comments regarding the coffee). I think they could increase the clientele just by improving on the coffee. Sure, it’s cheap, but it tastes like it, and this alone will keep us driving right past to another restaurant. I agree with another comment made regarding the lighting. It is less than inviting with bright fluorescent lights throughout. It makes for a rather uninviting atmosphere. We have found the service to be good. Portions are average to a bit small, but well prepared.

I was a steady customer for 8 yrs at the old Roxannes in Parkville. I loved the place, then the owner Roxy opened a new restaurant in Platte city. She turned over her Parkville place to Brenda her mother, whose talents and demeanor are those of a bill collector. I will never eat there as long as she is running it. I have managed restaurants and have never encountered someone so unfitted to run one as she is! «The customer is always right» is the working model for most smart restauranteers but with Brenda it’s I’m always right and if you don’t like it get out. It’s quite sad because when Roxy ran the place the food was good and the management was great. I feel sorry for the poor people that have to endure her.

My husband, my kids, my family, and my extended family have all been coming to Roxanne’s since they opened in Sept. of ’05.(That’s 10 years!) We’ve always been happy with the food and service. Although, other than KELLY, who is an EXCELLENT waitress, we’ve never had anyone address us as being return customers, and/or thank us for coming in, again. And while we can recognize the owner and her family by face, and some by name, she cannot with nor probably most other return customers. Today, after receiving my biscuits and gravy and cutting them up, I told the waiter they they hadn’t put enough gravy on this time. I asked him to please not charge us for it, because, as he could see(and he agreed,) they definately didn’t have an appropriate amount of gravy.(Had I wanted dry biscuits I wouldn’t have ordered B&G in the first place.) After he brought out what should have been applied to the biscuits the first time, I began eating, only to have«the Grandmother,» Roxanne’s mom come to the table and proceed to tell me that«they have a specific amount of gravy that they’re supposed to put on and after that they have to charge for it, but this time they wouldn’t and next time they’d have to charge me for it.» REALLY? Are you kidding me? …Let me get this straight — I’ve been coming to Roxanne’s for 10 years and enjoying the food, not being addressed as a repeat customer, but not hassled(in front of other customers) either, and ONE time I asked them to bring more gravy(because they made an error) and I get treated like a second class citizen. I have never been humiliated at the Corner Café in Riverside and the food is at least as good, if not better… It is sad to say I won’t be back.

Coffee was watery even after we requested a better cup. Biscuits and gravy were cold. Portion sizes were decent and wait staff was very nice.

Just tried Roxanne’s for dinner and was very happy with everything. The special was tilapia either fried or grilled. We had it grilled with mashed potatoes and green beans. Did I mention the coffee was delicious? We loved everything, but we were sorry not to try the desserts — just too full, by maybe next time. And there will be a next time. Service was spot on and we felt welcomed by all the staff. Only suggestion we would make is change the lighting. Building used to be a bank, and the lighting is rather bright. Maybe install some dimmers?

Aunt Cha Cha and I’m blazed a trail up north last Saturday to score some suburban diner food. We were not let down. It’s not far from KCK and we drove through scenic downtown Parkville, enjoying a leisurely jaunt up to Roxanne’s new place. It was starting to hop at 8:45 am and we go in just in time as all the locals started pouring through the doors like a Walmart grand opening. In fact, after about 10 or 15 minutes, people were actually seated or milling about the foyer waiting to be seated. Our server was a nice lady who took our drink orders and was quite pleasant. The food came out quickly and was pretty dang good. I had two eggs over medium, 4 slices of bacon and a biscuit and gravy. It was satisfactory. In fact, it was just right. The atmosphere is nice and homey and it’s conveniently located. Prices are nice too.

I totally LOVE Roxanne’s…at the old location. I gave the new location 2 chances before writing this review but alas, I feel it is my duty. The setup of the new location leaves many tables super close to the door which, right now, are extremely cold. Our first time at the new place, our waiter was awesome but our food was cold. It really felt like he had too much to do and not enough time. It seems like the staff is spread too thin. On the second trip, our food came out warmer(not great) but our drinks were never filled after the first time. Again, I saw our waitress busting her butt so I don’t think it was her fault but we will probably wait a while before coming back so they can work the kinks out.
