Minsky’s Pizza

The food was good. The sever was rude. Took our glasses even though we weren’t done. Ignored me when I tried to pay the first time.

Pie was ok… ordered the hawaiin, switched out the sweet sauce for marinara and subsituted the nuts for chicken. Overall, the pizza was bland with very little sauce. But wasnt bad.
I ordered the honey garlic wings extra extra well done… well. they werent but they tasted great.. The honey garlic was tasty. I am pretty picky about my wings so my review may not apply to you. i like my wings really well done. i dont like the skin being chewy.
Delivery was as described 45 minutes and everything was there: blue cheese, napkins, plates, sodas, red pepper, etc.
Was $ 35 including tip…

I just had dinner there and was so disappointed. The food was bland and lukewarm. It cost $ 35 for two side salads and 2 chicken sandwiches. Never again.

I called in for delivery and the guy was super cool and friendly, I ordered a pepperoni. I gave three stars cause even the delivery guy was awesome but the pizza was lacking. I’ve had better, the crust and dough was mediocre. Unilocal makes me feel like a food snob which I don’t think I am…

Good pizza that took too long to arrive, a dirty table that never got cleaned, and intolerable noise from a ridiculous number of televisions mean that I’ll probably not bother with this location in the future. Our poor server was run ragged trying to handle a packed balcony alone on New Year’s Day, which says a lot about the management. Really tasty Mediterranean pizza, even slightly cold, is what saves this rating from being 1 star.

Usually a good bar but tonight’s manager refused to play NFL Thursday night football. But instead play reggae music when there was a total of 13 in the bar including staff. The reason «it wasn’t a home game». Closest home game on was the Iowa vs Iowa st game that ended over an hour ago. Horrible logic. Bar in trouble.

Great pizza, lots of beer, good location in KC and a really good Husker football watch site on Saturdays. Can’t ask for much more in a sports bar. Minsky’s is awesome and their prices are reasonable for food and drinks.

Pizza has a incredible amount of flavor! Hearty and fulfilling I wish I would have tried it sooner! Got the combo with jalapenos instead of black olives. Was delicious!

Very dense pizza, well crafted, and good ingredients. It will fill you up. But lacks a lot of flavor. Their pizza never connected with my taste buds. Also kinna pricey…

Yet another KC great that I forgot to review while actually in KC! Prices weren’t bad, pizza was delicious, and the staff was great! The only reason it gets 4 stars was that I had the watch the very last game of the Stanley Cup Finals muted because the Royals game was also on that night. I’m really grateful that they were even showing the Hawks game, and it almost made it more fun without sound! I also get why they would have the volume for the Royals game (congrats to the Royals!)! I actually went a second time during my month in KC and loved it just as much! It’s a really nice atmosphere and I really enjoyed that food! Also, I want to say I counted about 25 TVs, so that was really nice! There was basically no bad seat in the house if you were trying to watch a game!

I like this place. Yes it’s a bit older and probably in need of renovation but it’s clean the pizza is good the beer is cold and plenty of tvs to watch the game. Plus it’s in river market so it’s not crowded and you don’t have to wait for a table. Perfect for the ball game.

We ordered take out and the pizza was great! Papa minsky’s specialty was wonderful. Thick layer or gooey cheese which is very much appreciated in my book. Would recommend checking this place out!

Met a friend after work, and had the Cream Cheese Pesto dip and the Mediterranean Pizza. Great recommendations by the server. Will definitely order both again.

Not my favorite.
I ordered a mini pizza and order of spaghetti and meatballs. The mini pizza is really fucking small and they put the pepperoni under the cheese so they don’t get that nice crispy char that makes pepperoni even more delicious.
The spaghetti doesn’t come with enough sauce so I had a lot of bland noodle only bites.
The one positive mark I would say is the value for the money. My total was about $ 11 and these two items will last me 2 – 3 meals.
Still on the hunt for a delicious pie in KC. Any recs?

While the food is always good, the service is annoying. Never a bartender at the bar. Wait staff is inattentive. It should not take almost 5 minutes to get noticed at the bar when the place is half empty. And another 2 – 3 minutes before you can order a neverage.
This is the 3^rd time in a row the service has sucked. Might be time to go to Winslow’ s instead. …

We had a late night downtown last weekend and by late I mean 9:30PM-yes we are old…
I did my usual Unilocaly search for Gluten free in the area and Minksy’s came up. We had heard of Minksy’s before so we decided to give it a shot.
I called the order in, I had no idea what gluten free options they had and the girl on the phone was super duper helpful. I ordered two 8 inch Gluten Free’s, one with ham, pineapple and banana peppers (mine, I have better taste-​buds) and one with sausage, ham and pep.
Now those of you out there that order GF pizza’s, you know the crust is usually soggy, the toppings don’t reach the edge of the pizza and it’s bland as hell. Not so at this Minksy’s location.
I was very impressed with their gluten free pizza, and that is saying a lot. I am very picky about it so I usually make my own at home.
The pizza was perfect size for one person, it was hot and cheesy. All my toppings had really good flavor, normally the pineapple tastes canned. The banana peppers were the right amount of hot and the crust was cooked perfect!
Jason’s meat lover style pizza was even tasty that I took a few bites.
We ate both our pizza’s by the time we arrived home.
The cashier girl was friendly and helpful.
The price was not outrageous like most GF places-​18 bucks for two pizzas. At mellow mushroom it would be over $ 25 for one 12 inch.

We were staying in one of the downtown hotels, and looking for a place to grab some pizza, that would deliver. We were a little put off by the ratings being so low, but it turns out the pizza we ordered was really very good. We ordered the Medium original crust, with Italian sausage, pepperoni, and mushrooms.
It took a tad longer than we had hoped to get to us, but I attribute that to our hunger more than their tardiness. They were only a couple of minutes late. The pizza wasn’t piping hot when it arrived, but it was still hot. The delivery person was friendly, as well.
The ingredients were great! The crust was delicious, it wasn’t over-​whelming on the sauce, and the ingredients didn’t come across as the «cheap alternatives». It was the real deal, and I would certainly order from here again.

This place has some really good pizza from what I can tell. I tried Minsky’s a while back but couldn’t remember what I had or if it was any good. I decided to come to this location for lunch since it was closest to the job. When I went in, I noticed that the places was pretty dark. I could barely find the person that I was meeting there. It wasn’t packed and didn’t seem that busy. As far as the pizza goes, the crust is really good and my overall pie was pretty good as well. I got the mini seafood elite but was a little disappointed in the size.
The service could’ve been better and is what made the decision on them not getting 4 stars. I asked the waitress what size the mini was and she told me that it came with 4 slices. 4 slices doesn’t really tell me how big the pizza is, but I figured it couldn’t be THAT small for $ 7.
It also took the waitress a while to take our order and to get our checks once we were done eating. When she asked if we wanted our check, I asked her to give us 2 desperate bills. She brought us one check and walked off before I could tell her to split it again.
When she finally came back, I asked her to split the checks (which took her a while to do as well).
The place didn’t seem that busy or maybe she was the only waitress there today, but I figured the service would be a little faster on my lunch break. I would imagine that’s when the service would need to be the fastest.
Overall…the pizza was good, but the service could have been better. I’d go back to try a different type of pizza, but I’d be sure I had a little more time in case the service is slow.

This is my all time favorite pizza and oh how I’ve craved it on a weekly basis since moving away from KC. The river market location has the best atmosphere. I love the three tiered balcony layout. This is the most ideal location if you’re into sports and looking to have some pizza and beer and watch the game. There are TVs and projection screens everywhere. There’s a pretty good bar as well. The parking kinda stinks in all months except the winter months.
Now, my favorite part: the pizza.
I like my pizza how I like my men. Hot and cheesy… er saucy? Just kidding. The pizza has never disappointed. Ever. I dream about its cheesiness. They serve other things besides pizza, but you’d be crazy to not order a pizza.
