***Edit: I originally rated this 2 for the issues outlined below, but the manager did call me shortly after the massage and refunded the additional non-member portion. She was very concerned and helpful. I appreciate the customer service and feel the refund was fair, so I am updating the rating from 2 to 3. Let me preface this with the good: the girls at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. My massage therapist was also a nice person. I booked an hour long massage as a non-member, which means I pay $ 30 more. No big deal… I get it. My appointment was at 11:30, and I got there early to fill out paperwork and to be ready to go. 11:35 my therapist came to get me. Her sales tactic started immediately and it was fine because my clothes were still on. She leaves to let me get dressed. It was 11:50 before the massage began, so I’m thinking no biggie, she will surely massage past 12:30. Now, I go into a membership based massage salon knowing everyone I interact with is a sales person, and that’s fine. They are doing their job; however, it is not ok to be selling me in the middle of my massage — especially when I had repeated several times I was just there to relax. Low and behold, 2 – 3 times in be middle of my «relaxing» massage I’m asked why I don’t make this more of a priority, given price estimates, etc. I will admit, I’m not hugely confrontational and didn’t want to be rude, so I didn’t stop her. Then, of course, she ends right at 12:30. So the hour I paid for was actually only 40 minutes. I questioned this, and she proceeded to argue with me that she started at 12:45. Ok, still, that’s a 45 min massage. Then she said its only a 50 min massage time. Fine, but that was not the case for me. I paid the price and tipped her — the massage WAS good, so hopefully members get treated better. At the end of the day, I feel like I was not treated well, and I definitely didn’t get my money’s worth. Don’t argue with customers, and own up to your mistake. Give a discount if the schedule is so packed that you can’t give a full massage to a customer. It’s not that difficult.

I got an hour long massage from Kim and she was awesome. She asked what I needed worked on and she did exactly that. Kim was also super friendly!

Misleading — I went in to buy a gift card as a present for my wife. They asked my wife’s name and looked her up in their computer. Because she had been there before their advertised price of $ 49.95 was raised to $ 79.95. Apparently the $ 49 price is an «Introductory» offer. I had never been a customer, but because my wife had we were penalized a hefty amount. Ironically, we are no longer customers. Maybe I can get the reduced price now. NO thanks.

I was visiting KC for a work trip and was in need of a massage. Massage Heights was a convenient location and was able to book a much needed same day appointment. Larry gave me a great massage. He asked questions to determine my needs. I get massages frequently and this massage was one of the best. Great pressure and really worked out the knots. I appreciated that he told me when I had 10 min left and asked me what area he should focus on. If I lived in KC, I would have signed up for a membership.

Very nice location, with several single person rooms and a couple two person suites. Massages are usually good, depends on the person, but of the 15+ massages I’ve had, only one was bad, and that had to do with the length of the therapists nails… I had a deep tissue, and at some different angles on my back, her nails dug in and were somewhat uncomfortable. They offer some different elevations, hot stone or aroma therapy are the two I’ve tried, the hot stones are very nice, but I don’t feel they add much to the massage. Aroma therapy, they have several different scents, and all tend to clog my nose up, so I’m not a big fan. Massage times are usually at the top of the hour, but lots of times I can call in, and get an appointment the same day. Save a few bucks and sign up for their monthly plan, it’s a good deal and keeps you on a routine… I like it. Also, most therapists keep a good notes in your file and make exercise/stretching suggestions based on the issues your contending with. Compared to massage envy, I think massage heights has the better therapists…

The BF scheduled a couples massage here last weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. Samantha was my massage therapist and I told her going in that I wanted to relax and not be dug into and she actually listened. I can’t tell you how many times it’s happened where I’ve left bruised because other therapists(not here) have gone digging for kinks or whatever else they think they’re doing. My massage was peaceful and I enjoyed every second of it. I upgraded to the hot stone massage and loved that also. You have to be prepared that you’re going to have a temperature change from the hot stones to your cool skin but it’s quite relaxing. I enjoyed the upgrade, my massage and our entire experience. The only reason that I’m giving it a 4 is because although my massage was fantastic, the boyfriend’s therapist was a little of an odd duck. She seemed either new or extremely clumsy. Other than that, I’d recommend Massage Heights and Samantha if you like light to medium massages. Although I’m sure she does more than just light-medium.

Perfect experience. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The lobby is clean and inviting; massage room was very clean and quite relaxing. I suppose a positive experience is largely based on who performs the massage, so I can only vouch for Tim. He was excellent. He made me feel very welcome and comfortable and the massage itself was fantastic. I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend you give this place a shot and you should request Tim.

I’ve been going here for over a year and cannot believe that I am just writing this review. Their staff is SO friendly & helpful — HUGE plus! The place is ALWAYS meticulously(sp?) clean. Also, each one of the staff members that I have conversated with has shown a genuine interest in my well being. The massages are great & I believe that the people who may have reviewed this place previously aren’t familiar with massage etiquette. Most hour long massage appointments include a few minutes of consultation prior, a few minutes to get on the table & a 5 – 10 minutes at the end for you to get dressed. This ensure that both, you & your massuese, keep on a schedule. :)

Started their 1 year membership in September. So far, one of my four ‘1-hour’ massages lasted 45 minutes, and two have only lasted 40 minutes! I realize there is some undressing/dressing time — but 20 minutes? I think not. And on the shorter ones, the therapist used lots of stalling tactics(i.e. excessive folding of the sheets, excessive fiddling with the towel warmer, lots of walking around the table, etc.) such that my 40 minutes felt like even less than that. Maybe I just keep getting crappy therapists… This was my birthday present this year. So far I’m pretty disappointed. ** Update It was just bad luck on bad therapists, and they are no longer there. I must not have been the only one disappointed. I’ve now had many fine massages there, so I’m changing my review.

I went here after I bought a Groupon for half off an hour long massage. My appointment was on a Friday after work, and I thought it would be a perfect start to a weekend. Once my therapist was ready, she led me back and told me they were out of the scent I requested(no big deal, a massage is a massage!). I picked another one, but it was pretty strong(I don’t suggest getting the sugar vanilla or whatever it is!). Anyway, everything was pretty good except she stopped after 45 min. I wasn’t sure why, and it’s my fault for not asking, but she was out of the room before I looked at the time. Again, I should have said something when I was paying at the front desk, but it’s not like I was going to get undressed again for 15 min. I realize it was a Groupon, but it was specifically for 1 hour. It was just kind of a disappointing experience because of that. Everything else was okay, but I won’t go back to that location.
