Very good food with extremely reasonable prices. Skip Taco Bell and hit up this gem

I have been a long time lover of Los Amigos. However, the last few months the food has not been as good. I don’t know if they are under new management or what, but it has gone downhill. The chips are almost always stale and it is just kind of blah now. What happened to the way things were!!! I would really hate to stop going there.

Great local spot, friendly service, fast, could use a little more spice/seasoning. Their drunken chicken burrito is fantastic.

The first review is of the old location that is now a Walgreen’s — the current location is just a 100 yards or so east of there. The restaurant is nestled between a laundrymat and and a t-shirt shop so it’s easy to miss. Los Amigos is my go-to place when I need a filling lunch that doesn’t cost a lot and tastes great. I’ve had many of their dishes but my favorite is the large chicken taco($ 2); it is a fried flour tortilla loaded with flavorful shredded chicken, lettuce, tomato and cheese — it may not be the healthiest food but it’s oh-so-good and it does have some veggies on it! :) They offer hot and mild sauce in containers you fill yourself; the mild isn’t too spicy and the hot has a nice kick to it — I usually do an even mixture of the two for just the right amount of spice. The guys that work there, I believe they’re all family, are incredibly nice and get your delicious food to you in a matter of a few minutes — even during lunch time when it can be packed with City employees. If you’re ever in the area you should keep driving past Taco Bell(yuck!) and make a stop at Los Amigos — you won’t be disappointed.

Kind of bizarre and creepy little white shack(a revamped Taco Bell) does at least have authentic Mexican food, and the ceviche and fish tacos are surprisingly good. Scary, though.
