NOSTARS. ZEROSTARS. If I could rate«0»(Zero) stars, I would. There’s a dysfunction at WORST Buy Corp. HQ that is making it hard for their employees to do their job right. I was impressed with how hard associates worked to decode a bass-ackward computer system to get things done. BestBuy website moderators«censoring» half a dozen of my reviews — Wow. A business that’s in business to do business won’t be in business very long if they keep turning away business. I’ll have found the right career when someone will pay me to do what I’d gladly do for free. When a boss asks me what customer service means to me, I say the extra mile. You don’t work for Best Buy. You work for ME — the customer who walks through that door. YOURTITLE, «Customer Service Representative» means you exist to serve me. Without me, you have no right, no purpose to exist. I’M the reason you have a job –NOT Best Buy! I know that retail sales & customer service can be rough, but I’ve seen y’all congregating and audibly saying how much you’re looking forward to the end of shift. It doesn’t take much more than common sense to know, you don’t need to be talking amongst yourselves and instead SEEKOUT customers in need, without being overbearing. I’ve given them second chance after second chance, but I no longer enjoy shopping there. I’d even applied previously for entry level sales & when was called in for the first interview once and didn’t make it past that/never got the job, I wouldn’t have been upset but for the fact: TRADITIONALLY, BEINGCALLEDINFOR An interview means someone is qualified on paper. I doubt they would grant unqualified candidates in-person 1-to-1 initial interviews. SOOO I suspect they fumbled around to waste my time in an interview??? Did you even read my application??? What’s sad is, mid-October 2015 a few months later, there’s a heavy recruiting signage presence. You know why? Because you’ll be working seasonal Black Friday, and then they’ll cut you loose after the 1st of the new year. What’s worse, is I likely met the guy who won the position over me and I was disappointed with his lack of product knowledge. What’s more, an interview is not supposed to be «Interviewer asks question: Interviewee responds.» While there are questions and answers, I’m interviewing an employer as much as they’re interviewing me as well as a conversation — an exchange of ideas. The break room had gnats crawling over the clipboard in front of me during my interview — WHAT A TURNOFF. If it’s any consolation, I would have declined a job offer anyway. Y’all can keep on being good little worker bees busy making the Best Buy CEO even wealthier, but I for one, am glad I don’t work there. Believe me, I’ve been on both sides of the counter, but there’s only ONE side of the counter on which you get paid to do what you do. There are literally THOUSANDS of people in this economy that would GLADLY take your place. If you can afford to turn away business in this economy, then good for you. Meanwhile, keep acting like it’s an inconvenience to do your job and see how far that gets you. I took to Unilocal!reviews because their own forums and reviews are censored, and the web moderators simply chose NOT to let 3 of my posts through, even being a verified purchaser. Wow. Just wow. Ya’ sold us a TV stand too small and unsafe for the TV we bought, and after I wasted a day assembling it myself, you’d charge $ 100 to pick it up. Well guess what, I borrowed a friend’s truck, Further disappointed in purchases and returns, We get the return product to your front doorstep, and while loss prevention associates flex their muscles all they can to ‘scare you out of stealing something,’ they can’t unload a truck and wouldn’t DARE trouble their lazy co-workers to help. Not 100% your fault, but NOTMINEEITHER. The economy has been hard on everyone. The Metro North location BestBuy has been closed for almost a decade. It’s quite expensive for brick & mortar storefronts to stock items. Your hours have been cut. I understand retail can be a grind. I would be remiss and it would be disingenuous of me to ignore the positives — there have been a few, albeit a small few with superior skills and product knowledge, the likes of which in home theater, that I could throw all the questions I had at who couldn’t be stumped, who STILL had answers. I’ve been impressed with the specialists up at the front in Customer Service desk and who field the phones. But when your corporation is cutting into the bottom line, I cannot give Best Buy more than 1 star. I’m even more glad I’m not part of their outfit. New Moniker/Slogan ‘ought to be, «Beatable Service, Irrelevant Price» because I’m not shopping there anymore anyhow.

This is seriously the worst Best Buy I’ve ever been to in my life. There was no one around to help me and when I finally did find someone and asked them for help she told me «well I’m kinda busy». Seriously. She wasn’t doing anything. And another employee was just standing there watching CNN. I ended up just leaving and not buying anything. The customer service here is the worse I’ve seen in a long time. If you have a choice, go to any Best Buy other than this one. I should have guessed it was a bad Best Buy given there was only about 6 cars in the parking lot. Again, don’t go here if you can avoid it.
