Waiahole Nursery & Garden Center

Living in Hau’ula we pass this place weekly, I didn’t know they sold food until I saw them on Unilocal.From the road it doesn’t look appealing so we continued driving. On Monday my hubby and I finally decided to try it!!! Oh my goodness we LOVED it!!! The staff is so friendly! My hubby and I both had the chicken quesadillas… It was truly amazing!!! We were really surprised by the taste and service. The price is also great for our pockets!!! Must try!

We stopped to browse and ended up eating lunch. Excellent lasagna and eggplant parmigiana, good bread and yummy bean salad. The nursery was fun too and had a good selection of vegetables to buy. We got some cute jewelry and flowers at good prices. A definite must stop on the road.

This cute nursery & garden doesn’t have enough reviews, or acknowledgment for how amazing this establishment is. Not only is it a lovely spot with a great selection of succulents (my main purpose for heading out to kaneohe), but one of the workers was informing me of how they work to teach special needs teenagers real life skill sets. some of these awesome kids even decorated the pots that the plants for sale are in, & designed the cards in the gift shop.
i know nothing about plants & gardening, & from the moment i stepped into the greenery area to when i got back into my car, with the help of another worker who carried the box holding 4 of my new potted plants, & helped me to load it all up, i felt welcomed & each worker smiled & was extremely helpful with all my random questions.
i only wish it was closer to where i lived, so that i could frequent this spot more regularly, & possibly purchase more for myself (since the other 3 are gifts) in the near future. there’s a place next door that i think the worker said they also teach those special needs teenagers culinary skills too, because i noticed a sign on my way out advertising ahi poke bowls, so maybe next time i’ll make a day of it :] drive out with the dogs, pick up some lunch from next door, hang out at the beach, & come back for some greens before heading home.

Wow! This place is more than your typical plant nursery! I stopped to look for a house warming gift and I was amazed to find a full farm market– with lots of fresh, local produce and gifts! They also have a stocked floral fridge and do custom floral orders! I ended up leaving with a wonderful gift basket full of local honey, papaya, and even some cute local art! Before I left, the friendly staff gave me a tour of their commercial aquaponic system and sent me off with a sample of some delicious red compact romaine lettuce! I will definitely be back!

Love this place. I finally stopped in after driving by forever. It’s awesome. Their selection of hydroponic plants is amazing. I transferred to soil and the plants are still great. They also have organic veggies inside.

Best nursery experience ever! I walked into a super friendly staff, an adorable lab pup and the smell of orange blossoms. The entire staff was so nice and helped me throughout the entire process. The plants were so healthy, lush and at great prices! The owner gave me a tour of the property and told me about the Italian restaurant opening Valentine’s Day where he’ll use all home-​grown veggies. Besides outdoor plants and trees there were gorgeous cut flowers and lots of beautiful orchids and other cool stuff in the gift shop. I will definitely be back for years to come. Thanks guys, you rock!

What a wonderful shop to visit!!! For those looking to get away from the tourist trap hot spots… and instead experience a local treasure… please take the time to stop by Waiahole Nursery and Garden Center! Located on the most beautiful of drives, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming… a perfect hidden gem of a nursery. I immediately felt that whether I made a purchase or not… I was very much appreciated for simply stopping by. Generously supporting the surrounding community by offering special needs children and adults the opportunity to find joy and personal validation through gardening and artistic expression… the Waiahole Nursery & Garden Center impressed me.

Stopped in because of the cool signs out front and was surprised by the variety of plants, gifts and gardening supplies for sale. They recently added a hydroponics section and have all the basics was a real win for me no more driving to Honolulu for Ocean Forest Soil. I recommend check them out… very friendly staff and a cute little girl!

Orchids galore and super cute items in the gift shop! I recommend stopping by on your way to the north shore its on the kam hwy!

Their aqua ponds are awesome, We walked in and were greeted right away by the guy who sets up the aquaponics and he showed us how the plants and systems work with the fish.
The little shop/​gift shop is also easy to see and super comfy and colorful! Their are arrangements of plants & succulents kind of scattered here and there. So g r e a t for succulent lovers.
Its organized into what your looking for and I know they are still working on getting their nursery TOTALLY working, so thats up and coming but over all if you drive past it, turn around and go back and check it out! It has a perfect view if chinamains hat across the street :)
