The Beach Indoor Tanning

My tan turned out great but the girl who was working had a bad attitude. She acted like she had somewhere better to be the whole time she was spraying me. I will be going back but will make sure I have a different lady!

The beds here are ok, and clean. The prices are high, but I this is the first tanning salon I went to here in Hawaii, so it may be comparable. The issue I had was when I first went there and signed up, I was interested in purchasing some tanning lotion. The lady behind the desk didn’t bother to get off her butt to help me. She sat on the other side of the desk pointing to some while I played the guessing game on which one she was talking about. Because of this I did not get a lotion. She was also texting while helping me. Hello! I am a paying customer, put your phone down for 5 minutes. This salon is located right near a gym so parking is very scarce. I usually have to park somewhere else and walk there.

Very clean and well kept salon. Staff are very friendly and hours are excellent. You don’t have to spray and wipe down bed after use like many salons expect as the employees here do it for you. Rooms are really spacious so you don’t feel cramped into a tiny space. Several hooks for all your clothing are available.
They have a large variety of tanning products but I did find the prices to be extremely high but not sure about the quality and effectiveness of them. I just am not going to pay upwards of $ 100 for some products.
The salon and staff are great as well as hours of operation. I don’t need to but products so price of those items do not affect my rating as that is a choice you can buy or not.
I recommend this salon by far among others I have used in the past.

Excellent tanning salon, way better than what it used to be (TanZone). Before I deployed they had closed down TanZone which I was dissapointed in because it was the only salon on the Windward Side. When I got back a year later I was sooo happy to find out there was a new tanning salon that opened. They have a ton of lotions and good products, I got hooked on the Hempz lotions. They also do a military discount.
I live in Ewa now so I go to Island Tan but The Beach is great if you’re on the Windward side.

I love having a nice tan year round and this place is close to home and very convenient. The staff is always friendly and I never have to wait for a bed. One of the young ladies that works there… Courtney… is very knowledgeable about all of the different kinds of tanning products and describes them in terms that are understandable… made it easy for me to try a new product with confidence. The only thing I dislike is that there are often bulbs burned out on the beds and the sun dome. If they would just change out their bulbs more often I would give them a five star rating definitely.
