Delicious spicy tuna nigiri and yummy boba! Happy this place opened right next to one of my other favs!

Udon is great. Big bowl only 3.95! The ahi tempura roll is a winner as well. Everything is made fresh to order so hold your pants on. I go every week and wait maybe 10 minutes for my food

Pictures looked good so I decided to stop. I wanted to order a strawberry shortcake for a birthday, but I’m so glad I didn’t order the whole cake. Strawberry shortcake wasn’t as good as it looks. I doubt I will ever go back there again.

Such a cute little shop! Decided to stop by and try this place out today and I’m glad we did. Customer service here is great! They’re so friendly. I recommend calling ahead & making a phone order, as there’s only two workers so service isn’t quick. Still worth the wait. Everything tastes really good. I wanted to order half of the menu because everything looks good haha! Will definitely be returning to try more items off their menu.

As nice as the two ladies behind the counter are, the service here is just way too slow(I should’ve heeded my own advice in calling ahead). Still recommend the #6 bento and salmon tempura roll. Also got the dragon roll — it came with bonito flakes on top which was not as pictured on the wall — had it been, I would NOT have ordered it(not a big fan of those flakes and totally ruined the roll for me). Tried the blended milk tea as well and it wasn’t my fave.

I saw this place on Unilocal and was very interested because it’s near my neighborhood. Right next to Aloha Subs. Parking is pretty limited. The restaurant itself is pretty small. I ordered the spicy tuna tempura and my mom and boyfriend got the spicy tuna bowl. I thought my dish was ok. Nothing very special about it, but it was still good. I found it appalling though that the spicy tuna bowl had more rice than anything. The spicy tuna itself was so sparse. I tried a bite. It was ok, nothing special about it again. My boyfriend still enjoyed it though. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could, but I lean towards 3 in this case. The wait was pretty long, so I would want very good food for that type of wait. I understand it just opened a few months ago, so I’d perhaps come back to try again in the future.

Location: in same building as Megumi Japanese Restaurant between King’s Nissan and Yamashiro Hardware in Kaneohe. Very pleasant counter service. I was a «walk in» for a sushi platter, which they were able to prepare to order in less than 15 minutes! I also had a poke bowl, fresh and seasoned just right. They would have appreciated a call so they could have my sushi platter ready and saved me the wait(which I did not mind — but will call ahead next time). The Unilocal hours are wrong — open 9 — 4:30 M-F and only 10 – 2 on Sat Sun. They don’t accept American Express(alas). Visa & MasterCard only. Parking is a little scarce.

Fresh and tasty sushi. Friendly, inviting service. Clean. Nice presentation and good portions. Good prices. Treats looked very nice but we were already full. Will definitely be back!

Really nice sushi and very affordable. We ate in but next time I will probably take out as there is not much seating. We had the Ahi nigiri and the Ahi California roll. I’m excited to try the treats next time!

Came here for lunch after the beach and it was so good! I could tell that it’s fresh and it was very tasty. I had the number 2 which has the California and spicy ahi roll. Their california rolls are huge, it’s like double the size than what it usually is. I also had the poke bento 3 which comes with a small portion of spicy ahi on rice and 2 cone sushi. Prices are alright with a good, generous amount that they give. They have small desserts in the fridge and boba. I had the taro boba, which was refreshing and the pearls were perfect. It wasn’t overcooked or undercooked, as how some other places have that. The two ladies there were very nice! They were so generous and could tell they really care. Definitely would come back here if I’m down kaneohe side again.

Great food, service, and selection. We will definitely be back. They were even open today on Father’s Day! Clean, family run business. The food was ono.

It’s the second location for Jay’s. First location is on Liliha Street. They offer primarily sushi, cakes, and bubble drinks. We tried the green tea bubble drink. Loved the balls! Nice and chewy, not overcooked. Ordered a strawberry shortcake for my friend’s birthday celebration and it was nicely decorated and tasted like they had just made it that day. The cake was moist and the frosting was nice and light. Best cake I’ve had in a long time. Service is painfully slow. Everything is made to order, and there are only one or two people making the stuff. I would suggest checking the menu on Unilocal and calling in your order before you get here. Welcome to the neighborhood Jay!

I feel like it’s Christmas — and I just opened the best present! Yesterday, I actually wanted to eat next door but it was closed, so right next to it is Jay’s Bakery & Sushi. It had just opened a couple of hours before I arrived. Previous to this visit, the large picture window was covered with Christmas wrapping paper. The present has been opened! I went there two days in a row! LOCATION: On Kamehameha Highway, between Hawaiian Memorial and King Windward Nissan, almost across from Windward City Shopping Center. If you’re headed towards town from Kaneohe, it’s on your right… in the Ko’olau Plaza, between Megumi Restaurant and Aloha Subs. Enjoy the FREE parking in the front! MENU SUSHI — fresh and delicious! Party platters are available! CAKES&BAKEDGOODS — can be custom made to your liking REFRIGERATEDDESSERTS — such as Mango Pudding BUBBLEDRINKS — can adjust the sugar level SNOWICE — prices are competitive with town SERVICE They accepted my credit card! Service is efficient and friendly, and took the time to explain a lot of the menu items. I got some take out menus so I can tell my friends what to bring to my house when they visit me(big hint)! There are a few tables if you wish to dine in. NOTE 10% off available these first two weeks(maybe until the end of May 2015)! For townies — they have their original location on Liliha Street: Jay’s Café. Everything is custom made, so call in your order for cakes and sushi platters. I really enjoyed meal numbers 4&14; and I want to go back again for the garlic salmon sushi! I also am getting my mom’s birthday cake from Jay’s next month — the Mixed Fruit Cake is healthier, lighter, and«prettier» than a traditional cake! Support local!
