Heslinga Dan MD

OMG — I cannot believe how I was treated by Dr. Heslinga. After he patiently took notes, did a thorough examination, and listened, he abruptly says «well our time is up» and never addresses any of the issues that were pertinent — very high blood pressure and a pitting edema in my legs. When I then asked well do I do about this? I obviously needed intervention such as medication and/​or blood work. I had been sent there because another professional (specialist) was worried I would have a «heart attack» if I didn’t get help for my issues as explained. He says again, «our time is up» and slowly opens the sliding door giving me the heave ho. I left there surely with a higher blood pressure — cause I felt like I was treated like a piece of crap. I have never in my life been treated so rudely by a professional. This just isn’t right. I am definitely going to make a formal complaint.

I saw Dan Heslinga today for the second time. The first visit was fine. This one was terrible. He was rude, curt, passive aggressive. I told him my nose has been bleeding numerous times daily for 5 days so I stopped taking allergy spray. He didn’t look at my nose or prescribe new medication. Never even addressed it. I asked to see a dermatologist. He asked again if that was what I wanted. I asked what he recommended and he said well isn’t that what u want? I said yes if that is what you recommend to which he replied that’s not what u said first. I’m starting to get upset so I say let me rephrase my initial statement, would u recommend a dermatologist? He said yes. Wth??? He was difficult and argumentative about everything!!! He asked if I wanted a booster shot. I asked is it something you yourself would get? He was offended I asked a personal question about his personal medical history. I didn’t know that was unacceptable behavior. He asked if I would like another procedure which I replied I would prefer not to but thank you. When he was noticeably annoyed I just asked him are u upset with me? He said no. Then he said he didn’t like that we couldn’t have a convo about procedure. I said we absolutely can discuss it and that my saying I’d rather not do it, in no way meant we couldn’t talk about it. He said it seemed like the discussion was over. I said well it’s not and we can still discuss it. He didn’t want to. Whatever! Within 20 min of returning home I already have new Dr.

worst Dr. I’ve ever been too! He’s rude, condesending, talks over you, interrupts, doesn’t listen, doesn’t care. Dirty office. No receptionist or nurse. I am sending a letter to the board of reviews and BBB.
