Some of the worst experiences I have had at a doctor. My first visit I was told to try being «less active». What kind of doctor tells their patient to be more sedentary?! The next time I went was for a letter of health for a job. Dr. Kuo argued with me over what my employer needed and would write anything until I shared the email from my employer. He did a «physical» which was nothing more than what nurses do upon intake and I was then charged a ridiculous amount of money AFTER insurance for a letter that was nothing more than height and weight. Do not go here unless you like being over charged to be belittled by a doctor.

Love Dr. Kuo. Like others have said, he’s brief and gets straight to business, but is still a friendly, likeable dude. I can get appointments whenever I want them, and I can count on him to be quick and efficient. Allergy shots can be difficult to work into your schedule, especially when you have to start out by getting one per week, but with Dr. Kuo you can count on getting it done during your lunch hour.

My daughter was «stabbed» on her upper arm when Dr. Kuo administered her allergy shot. Allergy shots are supposed to be given under the skin, not into the muscle. She was so traumatized and bruised (both mentally and physically). Dr. Kuo inserted the needle so deep that the tip of the syringe touched her skin. DO NOT go to Dr. Kuo. Scary. I’m thinking about reporting him to the medical board.

I really like Dr Kuo. He has such extensive knowledge– he can diagnose things faster than any Dr I’ve been to (and I’ve been to many) and he’s right on the money. He’s quick and to the point. I had to get used to his no-​frills manner; it was a trade-​off for excellent doctoring. I learned to write down everything before I came to the office and not to let him stray… I’ll be with Dr Kuo, Sr. until he retires. Cannot put a price on his expertise!

I’d be remiss if, after my last couple of appointments, I didn’t post an update to my earlier review, since I had lauded the doctor’s timeliness. Yesterday’s was the worst and I attribute it to some of the new staff who are just clueless and frazzled, even when very little is going on. i made an appt at 2:30 pm because i needed to be back to the north shore before 4 pm. i showed up promptly, signed in and took a seat in the deserted waiting area. i waited and waited. After 20 mins, a couple other people came in and one was called in to a room within 5 mins. i assumed she was seeing a different dr., but no, she was there for an allergy shot too. I finally i went to the window to check if i’d be seen soon and the girl said, «oh, i’m sorry, i skipped over you.» Argh. At 2:55 pm, i was finally seated in one of the rooms. I waited and waited. it took another 15 mins before Dr. Kuo came in to give me my shot. He was planning to up my dosage this appt and said I’d have to wait 15 mins to be monitored afterward. I replied that I didn’t have another 15 mins and mentioned that I’d been there more than a half hour already and had to drive back to the north shore. he did apologize, but i was pretty ticked by the whole thing. i’m reconsidering if i still want to drive an hour to town for these shots or find someone closer.

Dr. Kuo is a no frills allergy doctor that gives the best allergy shots in the world.
Understand that he’s not going to sit down with you and chat about the world for 10 min! You are in and out and pau! This isn’t social hour at the doctors office.
Know what you are there for, ask the question, take his answer and move on. Simple and fast — that’s how I like it!
