As a dog, I rate it 5⁄5 stars for dog friendliness. It doesn’t get better than this for a dog! My human was able to order coffee very easily at the counter and then sit outside with me. The outdoor seating areas were shaded and there was even a dog bowl with water! The guy at the counter was really friendly; he came out and told me what a good dog I was. I liked that very much. My human rates the coffee as average and doesn’t care for all the Styrofoam, but likes that she can swing by here with me after a hike. It would also be a very convenient option for those who have just visited Feather & Fur since it’s in the same center.

Coffee is nice and cold just lThe way we like it. Fresh baked goods every day. Malasadas one day, then coconut chocolate chip scones the next. What a great local coffee house. This will definitely be one of our favorite places to come to when we’re back in Kailua. Come and hang out here. And did I mention the awesome customer service from the staff. All-Stars for this place.

Pretty much done with this place, it feels more like a hang out for the 4 – 5 regulars then a place I can grab a coffee in the morning.

Friendly customer service. Horrible coffee, taste just like muddy water, safer to try coffee from Safeway right across the street.

Staff seems to be less than friendly, the hot food is «cooked» in a microwave, and it’s definitely more expensive than Starbucks. $ 3.05 for a double espresso that’s taste is mediocre at best, served in a 16oz paper cup. Maybe I’m an espresso snob but if you’re going to be expensive, at least give reason to be. That being said, I’ll probably reluctantly return due to convenience but I can’t recommend it if anyone is looking for anything quality or of reasonable price.

I like this place. It’s no Starbucks, but that’s kinda why I like it. It’s a quaint little coffee shop with outside seating and if your fur baby is with you they can sit beside you. The coffee is good. I have not tried any food.

Really wanted to like this place… Once you find it(their signage is minimal at best), it definitely has that hole-in-the-wall, local vibe. They also have some shaded outdoor seating, which is nice. However, paying $ 5.18(yes, over $ 5) for an iced mocha made with hot chocolate powder mix completely ruined it for me. I’d blame myself for lack of attention, but their posted menu did not include prices. This really was the worst espresso drink I’ve had in a long time, maybe ever!

Wish I could give it a negative 5 stars. My kids wanted to try the veggie dog and when it arrived it was rolled up vegitarian lunch«meat» on a bun. It was was also cold. I told them that it wasn’t what we ordered and the girl said they didn’t have vegitarian hot dogs, I said, it’s on the menu, girl behind the counter looked confused, old lady next to me says, yep, that’s what it says. Refused to pay for it and they agreed. Definitely wont be going back.

I have been a fan of Muddy Waters even before its remodel. I like coming here because it has a laid back vibe. There is comfortable seating inside the place where you will find small tables and an assortment of various magazines. The seating area is a tad small though so don’t expect it to be anything like Starbucks. The outside is where most of the customers seem to hang out at. I have noticed an older crowd who likes to chill here. The workers are nice and efficient. I really don’t have any complaints. Also, I have a loyalty coffee card which means that if I buy 10 coffees I get the 11th one free. And since I am heavily addicted to caffeine I am pretty darn close to getting it.

My 11 year old daughter likes a snack before her afternoon art class after school. We stopped by and order a bagel for her and mocha for me. All was well until I heard a string of profanity(f__k being prevalent) from the scruffy little man who had recently walked by and was refilling his cup in the corner of the shop. I exchanged a looked with him that I had hoped would be interpreted as «Take it easy, young ears in the room.» Instead he walked right by us still cursing. I was appalled and said, «watch your mouth in front of my girl!» To this he merely replied, «Say please.» I told him I would not say please to someone that uses profanity so liberally in front of children. Here’s the kicker… He says, «WE’LLTHENYOUCANGETTHEHELLOUTOFMYSHOP!!! Unbelievable!!! He is the OWNER, or so he claimed. As i hustled my daughter away I told him this would make a nice Unilocal post for him. His reply was that i could post what I liked… he could care less. There you have it in a nutshell… The proprietor of Muddy Waters Espresso Cup o Joe can care less. To be fair, the muffin and bagel were ok, but undoubtedly from an outside vendor.

Pretty good little coffee place near Kailua Beach. Our dog was able to sit with us at a table outside their café. The staff was great.
