Shae is awesome. One of the best customer service representatives in the business. The variety of paddling gear that the store offers is excellent. If they don’t have it at the Kailua store, the Kapahulu store will have it in stock. Shae will make sure that whatever you need, want or desire gets to you in a timely manner, maybe even by the next day. Thank you to the team at Island Paddler Kailua, especially to Shae for making my experience a pleasant one.

No visit home is complete without a trip to Island Paddler. As Kailua Town continues to morph into a tourist destination, Island Paddler is the place where I can always find items that I love and even better, conversation that shows me the Kailua that I grew up in still exists. I picked up some great things yesterday and when I looked at the receipt later, I saw that the proprietress had given me a Kama’aina discount! That was super nice and so appreciated. The best part of Island Paddler however, is Taco the dog. Do not miss Taco.

I’ve been to this location several times and always get great service. I really appreciate the enthusiastic employees that genuinely care about matching up the right equipment for you. I’ve had several paddles shorten and needed them done very quickly and they got it done. Glad they have a Kailua location, when I break those $ 2 water clips I don’t have to drive all the way to town.
