My BF and I stayed in the Hibiscus Room back in May 2011 and had a great experience except for one major thing, which cost –1 star to my review. Review for HIBISCUSROOM(5STARS): We loved our room! Despite the thin walls that separate us from the bedrooms around us, our room was spacious, clean, with a semi-private lanai(curtain separates us from our neighbor’s lanai), The room had ALL the amenities we needed! Couch, small dining table for two, beach supplies, TV, coffee maker, microwave, free internet, small portions of fruits/muffins/bagels, etc. So overall, our room experience was great. Also, there is free parking. Major BOOBOO from Nanette(one of the owners and probably the only one you’ll be seeing)(–1STAR): Beware she comes in your room when you are out and about. It was sweet at the beginning because she leaves little treats(chocolates, cookies) but then it’s very uncomfortable because we felt like we lost some privacy. She knocks very loud and fast and if you don’t open promptly, she’ll use her master key to open the door assuming we are out. What if I was butt-naked and didn’t want to open? Or we were leaving our suitcases or private stuff out in the open? She is the owner(along with her mama) so she has the right to come in and out as she pleases but may be a little notice on the contract or welcome binder saying«Hey, FYI — I may come in once a day to leave treats for you inside your bedroom, whether you are in or not.» In summary, I’d stay here again, I’ll just be aware and vigilant that we may not have that 100% privacy. Plus, walls are very thin, so if you are a couple, just beware and consider this B&B as if it your auntie was sleeping right next door to your bedroom…
