RIDICULOUSLYSLOW… NOMATTERWHEN. My kids enjoy panda express but as a parent, service is too slow for me. which doesn’t make sense when it’s supposed to be fast food that’s already made… I understand Pearls BBQ next door… food made to order… but come on! This is not how service is handled at Ala Moana. They get you in and out even when the line is extremely long. Get it together Kaahumanu location! Doesnt deserve star

Love the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Lots of aloha. The food is always fresh and healthier choices than some other fast food places. I can easily say this is our go to place, has been for years. I just can’t day enough good things. These guys just do it right all the way!

I love the assortment of food that Panda serves, my family can each get what they like. My gripe is with their coupon system. We visited their restaurant because we wanted to use the mall coupon for one free entrée if we bought 2 plates. You know how they add an extra $ 1.50 if you get shrimp? Well, they counted that $ 1.50 as the one free entrée! I didn’t notice till I got home with the food and I was able to read the receipt. Not cool, Panda!

Sadly, there are ZERO Chinese restaurants on this side of the rock. The few good ones we did have, all closed within the past 20 years. So shamefully, this is our only option as far as «Chinese cuisine» goes. FOOD: Mushroom Chicken — This is my favorite selection. The chunks of chicken are tender, and the mushrooms & zucchini are fresh and cooked perfect. It has a nice subtle savory flavor. Beef Broccoli — My second favorite dish. While it can’t compete with my dad’s version, this will do in a pinch. The broccoli is usually always crunchy and never overdone, and the beef pretty tender. It has an odd savory taste which I can’t pinpoint. I haven’t been ordering this lately. Kobari Beef — Having so much flavor, it overpowers the mushroom chicken so I usually pass on this dish. Shanghai Angus Steak — The steak is tender but the asparagus used was the horrible bottom part of the spear — tough & stringy. Pass. And there’s a $ 1 surcharge for this dish. Chicken & String Beans — Super crunchy beans stir fried with lightly breaded chunks of chicken. Good but not as tasty as the mushroom chicken. Fortune Cookies — This comes with every meal. Who knew that the cookies from this place would be delish? Egg Flower Soup — 6.15.15 — I’ve been trying their soups as my third item choice and so far this is my favorite, compared to the Hot & Sour Soup. It’s mildly flavored with lots of egg, and a few peas, corn, and carrots. SERVICE: The staff are friendly and service is quick. TIP: On the back of your receipt, follow the instructions to complete a very quick survey online, write down the code and get a 3-item meal for the price of 2 on your next visit!
