Don’t let the homeless outside deter you from coming to this foodland to find Oki for poke! It was so Ono(delicious) as the locals would say! This is the best place in all of Maui for poke and I’m willing to defend that title for them! Roarrrrrr! My gf and I just got off the plane and we never had poke before. We had heard that every foodland sells poke. Perfect! There’s one near us. When we arrived in the parking lot, it looked a bit sketch. As you enter, you can see the poke section directly across the sliding doors. We were helped by this girl who could tell this was our first time. She offered samples and explained that they sold poke bowls which is half pound of poke(1 or 2 choices) and half pound of rice. We decided on the salmon shoyu and ahi shoyu. It was both so good!!! The fish tasted fresh, it wasn’t too salty, it was the right amount of sweetness and sesame flavor. The next 6 days we tried poke everywhere else including the highly rated foodland farms in Lahaina. It was not good. It was way too salty and the texture seemed like the fish had been frozen twice. So on our last day in Maui, my gf and I decided to go back to the foodland at Oki to get some good poke. We arrived in the parking lot at 9:12am and I headed to the poke section. But only 2 pokes were setup, the other trays were empty. I was helped out by a super nice boy whom I asked if they even made rice yet and if they had other poke available. He said yes and told me I could order any poke and someone in the back could make a small portion for me in a few minutes. Awesome! I picked the Ahi Lume and the Ahi Shoyu for my 2 choice poke bowl. In less than 4 minutes I paid and I was out the door. If you’re looking to quench your craving for poke, make this your stop! You won’t regret it. You’ll thank me for this recommendation!

I came to Oki’s just about everyday. Had the Spicy Ahi, Seaweed poke, Shoyu poke. The Idako poke was so tender with lots of flavor. They sell dried Aku, a pretty Nabeta fish. Crabs, lobster. A variety of Poke, poke bowls. Clam poke and my favorite Big Island Ogo. That’s Red Seaweed I took back to the mainland with. They have fresh prized Opihi and Opihi Poke. If you’re a fan of Poke. Find your way to Oki’s. Price points are excellent. A small order of most Poke will be around $ 6 — $ 7.

This is by far THE best place to get a poke bowl. I absolutely love the atmosphere here and the workers are so kind and helpful. I’d come here over Tamura’s any day.

This place always hits the spot for me. Im not the biggest fan of poke but I love the spicy tuna from here. I usually get the poke bowl with brown rice(as of right now comes out to $ 7.81 with tax) and it always fills me up. Its a good size portion for what you pay for. I never have to wait long for them to take my order and ring me up. Very prompt. They’re very efficient and you get your money’s worth. They could smile more but as long as they do their job well I don’t mind if they don’t :D.

The fresh poke is okay. The fish was fresh enough but the flavors didn’t marinate well and the container had more onions than necessary. It looked like a cost saving measure.

This place is legit. A huge selection of high quality poke all tastefully prepared. Make sure to check out both cases as the selection continues into the next bin. My favorite is the ahi poke with sea asparagus. Bomb.

Still a great place to buy seafood. And not in Costco quantities. Limited selection, but great variety. We picked up some Chinese pompano. We grill the whole fish wrapped in foil. Awesome — moist, tender, as flavorful as any white fish can be.

I can’t believe no one has left a review about this place in a couple of years! If you’re searching for this location via google maps/iphone, its right behind Sears inside FOODLAND. Not your typical poke you would find at the other Foodlands. My wife and I were heading to the airport and figured, why not stop and get some poke so while we wait at the gate, we have something to eat. Got on Unilocal and BAM, found Oki’s and to make it even better, its only 10 minutes away from the airport. Back to the Poke, this was the largest selection of Poke that I’ve ever seen. 3 whole fridges showing fresh, previously frozen, and smoked kinds of poke(ahi, salmon, clams, tako, crab, etc). In my pic, you could see, the bottom row is ALL poke, the top row is plates of sashimi sliced and ready to eat. I wanted to try them all, but didn’t have an ice chest to bring some back. We ended up trying the shoyu ahi poke with sweet maui onions, and the spicy salmon/ahi combo poke to tobiko. Ordered a half a pound of rice and BAM, a meal for two was served! Quality-wise, this was the best poke I’ve had in Maui, flavor, freshness, spice, the pops of the tobiko, the textures, etc. It was simply awesome!!! Plus, you know its good when there are locals lined up ordering it as well. IF I ever come back to Maui, this will be the first stop, with an ice chest of course!

Note on finding the place — it’s actually inside the foodland behind Sears in kahului. Its an independent business, no other foodland had it. Onto my review — It’s my first 5 star review on Unilocal. After having visited all the major islands in Hawaii and been disappointed w their local seafood selection at both markets and restaurants, I found this amazing place. The mother and daughter working there are super knowledge and honest about which fish they have is local as opposed to imported. Any real seafood lover would know that most seafood in Hawaii are actually imported from other countries. It’s strange I know. But this place had a ton of local island fish, sometimes even kauai shrimp, all fresh. They also have the staple fish — ahi, mahimahi, Ono, and marlin. And half the price if what you’ll find at other nice looking markets which sell them at easily over $ 20 a lb. needless to say, this seafood fanatic and critic found the best spot in maui. Doesn’t hurt the staff are super knowledgable about their fish and super nice. They gave us free soy sauce and wasabi. A real gem!

Excellent selection, poor quality! Purchased four different poke, every single one was old and smelled very fishy!

Hands down, Oki’s Seafood Corner has got to have one of the BEST(if not THEBEST) spicy ahi on Maui! Their spicy tuna is definitely a must try! Oki’s Seafood Corner is located in Foodland(Kahului location). Other than the typical spicy ahi, shoyu poke, tako poke, etc., they also have the typical edamame, etc. This is also a great place to get fresh fish and sometimes even fresh crab… the crab is so fresh that they’re still alive(no joke!). Definitely lots of parking since it’s located in Foodland, but it does get busy during peak hours(4 to 5pm) so the parking lot might be super busy. Prices are what you expect fresh fish/seafood to be.

Located inside Foodland Kahului, they have ALLKINDS of different pokē creations and seafood selections. MENU: Pokē, fresh fish, lobster, crab, clams, pretty much everything that comes out of that big blue pond. FOOD: Shoyu Pokē– I used to think Takamiya’s made the best shoyu pokē. Boy was I wrong. The pokē here has a hint of sesame oil which gives it a slightly sweet flavor but definitely NOT overpowering, as I don’t care for sweet foods. Fish is super fresh and tender. Kim Chee Clam Pokē — I love clams, so I had to try this. Awesome flavor with the kim chee spices! And the price isn’t bad either. Spicy Ahi — Done in a sriracha & mayo mixture and topped with green onions and tobiko. Spice level is mild and full of flavor. Manila Clams — Fresh and the perfect size for grilling or microwaving. Microwaving? Hell yeah. Lay them nicely in a dish, cook on high but you gotta watch and remove the clams that start to open. Pour the juice onto the clams. Yowza, goes AWESOME with beer! Sashimi — Pricey but very fresh. Available in two sizes(large and small.) Ahi Lipoa Pokē — 4.25.15 — Yowza! I’ve found my new favorite flavor. It’s simply salted and the natural flavor of the ahi is enhanced with lipoa seaweed, kukui nuts, and green & white onions. So refreshing and excellent with beer! Highly recommended. California Ahi Pokē — 9.25.15 — It tastes like a traditional Cali roll with fresh ahi. Avocado, nori bits, imitation crab, and green onions = heaven! SERVICE: Always fast and friendly. TIP: They don’t follow the hours of the grocery store and close around 7pm. OVERALL: Easily accessible, fresh, and lots of flavor varieties.

Oki’s is located in the Foodland next to Kaahumanu Center. Today’s selection included: spicy tuna(mayo style) poke, california poke(mayo style w avocado), shoyu poke, blue crab, white crab, smoked tako, kimchi topshell, opihi, kimchi clam… The list goes on. They also had live blue crabs, various whole fish, kazunoko, and more than one type of seaweed, including ogo. Although once or twice I’ve gotten ‘one day poke’ from them(you know what I mean… You’ve gotta eat it that day or it’s not gonna be good the next), they’re usually very fresh. Today’s blue & white crabs were amazing… All of the blue ones had eggs. In the past I’ve had the most amazing, sweeeet kona crab poke from them. My father in law complains about the prices for the whole fish & seaweeds because he ‘can just go pick them himself for free… ’ but we try not to remind him that he’s pushing 80& yes, inflation does happen, and, no, he doesn’t really go seaweed picking that often anymore. I say if you’re not going to pick it yourself, go to Oki’s!
