A must-stop for any beer lovers in the area who like smiles and good times. I go every time I’m at Mammoth or June. Basically #SuperAwesomeBeer Pro-tip: for the sake of making sure everyone gets served in a timely manner, they ONLY take orders from the register at the end of the bar. So get in line when you show up and if there’s a wait, look at the beer menu. If you chill at the bar waiting to be served, you will be chilling as the rest of us are chugging. Pro-tip 2: Order your food from Ohana’s food truck before entering so it’s ready when you are! Ok, here’s what else you need to know! What it is: — Unpretentious brewery run by San Diego natives who migrated north, love beer and good times. — Awesome, laid back environment. What you’d want to find in a mountain town. — Filled with locals and weekend warriors, such as myself. — Tons of good eats via the Ohana’s food truck which is almost permanently parked in their lot. Need food and beer? They gotcha. — Affordable growler fills and an otherwise tasty assortment of beer, ranging from the adventurous to the not crazy adventurous, but still really good. If you like beer, you’ll like it here. — Indoor and outdoor seating. Of course, in winter, it gets cold, so bring a jacket. What it is not: — A foo-foo. It’s rustic by design. People come in their snowboots, mountain bike clothes, etc. — A dance club. — A jukebox… don’t ask them for requests. I’ve made that mistake and thought I’d get banned. I believe kids are allowed and puppies are for sure. Not positive on if you can bring your cats.

Unexpectedly great place to sit and relax after busy day of skiing. Despite them not serving food, and rather limited sitting, it’s a perfect place if you crave cold and delicious IPA. Cheers!

June Lake Brewing is the spot for Local and visitors alike. Being a smal cozy town you should expect to share space with charming, eccentric and amusing locals. You are not in Southern Califonia anymore get down on our vibes or get out ;)

Cool, local brewery in June Lake. I can see what others have said about it definitely being a local spot, but that didn’t stop us. We were even able to bring our 5 year old in with us(just can’t sit at the bar). We ordered food from the Ohana395 food truck, which was great and they bring it into the brewery for you. The bathroom was also very clean too. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area.

This is a locals only club that makes the outsiders that feed their profits feel unwelcome and excluded. Their beer is sub par and their health standards are lesser. Watch out for moldy growler tubes and glasses. They claim to be helping«June Mtn» and the esteem it’s always had with the locals– but really they are profiting from the path June Lake and June Mountain have plowed. Their business is taking away from the Tiger Bar and other local establishments. I advise all to steer clear from JUNELAKEBREWERY!

It was great coming here after being beaten up snowboarding on June Mountain. There were many familiar faces here from the mountain. Super friendly, kids allowed, dogs allowed, and they have a foos ball table for the youngsters to play with. They don’t have a lot of tables so try and grab one if you’re in a group before ordering at Ohana 395, the food at the food truck is fantastic! The beers here are excellent and cheap. A 20oz Smokin’ Porter was only $ 6, and double ipa’s $ 4. Cheers!

Great Brewery Experience in a Snow-bum World. June Lake is a cool brewery that really seems to be doing what they love. Making Good beer and waiting on the snow. The bar is a nice setup beside the brewing operations. The bar is decked out in lacquered pine. To get a beer, you have to go to the register and order. Also form a Line people — this isn’t a restaurant. Be on the looked out for countless snowboard/skibums, well you are probably one of them too, so make friends. Secret note: See if they have any ginger beer brewing.

Great beer! Worth the trip up to June from Mammoth to escape the holiday crowds. You can order food from the Hawaiian soul food truck outside and they bring it to you inside the brewery! Overall, excellent beer and friendly staff. And you can bring your dog! June Lake Brewery is where it’s at :)

We’ve had June Lake beer a couple of times at various restaurants around Mammoth and so were super excited about finally having the chance to visit the actual brewery! Upon arriving the place definitely gave off local vibes, but what do you expect in a small town like June Lake? The place is pretty low key and there are no bells and whistles or fancy touches, just a long bar, a couple of small tables and some outside seating constructed from bar stools and old beer kegs. No table service, you pony up to a corner of the bar to order whatever takes your fancy and if hungry you can head across the parking lot to the Ohana food truck(we didn’t eat but it looked super popular!!). The place felt a little cliquey but everyone was friendly. Unfortunately on the day we visited both of our beers seemed uncarbonated, flat, and nothing like what we’d previously experienced drinking their beers in Mammoth. We’ll give them another go next time we’re in June Lake so watch for an update sometime over the winter months.

Not going to lie… we ALMOST didn’t even walk in because it looked like a «locals» joint… but so glad to check them out. The beer was amazing and good prices! Only one employee pouring which is crazy because the line was long and we found out later there was a beer fest going on the same weekend(maybe under staffed?) No food menu that we saw… which was a bummer because I would have drank more if I had a full stomach. But they had free pretzels which tied me over. Dogs were allowed INSIDE… which is cool for animal lovers. But I always think its weird when a food establishment allows animals.(I could see outside on the patio– but inside seems like it would break a health code violation) Overall I would go back. Beer tasted really good!

This place is the BEST along with the nearby Ohanas395. I tried a flight of different beers as recommended by our server based on what I was most interested in drinking. They were spot on and so very tasteful. I ordered the Poke Salad from Ohanas395 and it was the BEST as well. I brought the food over to the brewery to have with my flight and with such great food, drink and ambiance it made for a perfect stop. I also purchased some beer to take with me to Yosemite. The beer was poured and sealed on the spot. Fresh yummy beer was had by all at the campsite in Yosemite that night. Thanks for a perfect lunch.

First: HUGE props to JLB and Ohanas 395 Food Truck for supporting each other in a stellar business plan for food and brews. The Brewery: Simple and functional set up. Knowledgeable beer nerd«tap tenders.» The Brew: Great selection and on-point flavor profiles. The ESB is classic and super drinkable. The milk stout was spot on too. These guys have created an outstanding reputation through the Sierra and California. We will continue to spread the word and swing through on our Eastern Sierra adventures from Tahoe. FOOD: Ohanas 395 Food Truck is the perfect compliment to JLB’s beer. Super tasty, porky goodness. Check out their Unilocal for food porn. Yum!

Another stop to finish off the line up. All very good offerings. The Saquatchito XPA was the standout. A session brew at 4.5%, it starts floral with real strong pineapple notes before finishing with hops. By the 3rd sip, he bitterness is a backdrop and the pineapple really stands out. Perfect for a warm day. Bonus points because we left our dog’s water dish behind. They saved it for us. Cheers!

We popped in on Saturday at 8pm. Their website said that was when they closed, but another person from our group was familiar with their hours and assured us we had until 9pm. We had 3 half pints and 8 tasters for $ 25. We purchased a few 32oz crowlers to go(they can them for you on the spot), some souvenirs, and headed out by 845! Dog friendly. Quite a few places to sit. They have a fooseball table! It’s definitely worth the stop if you’re driving through the Eastern Sierras or staying in June Lake/Mammoth. I think my favorite was the milk stout, but I didn’t get to try the Lil Walker IPA sample we got because my boyfriend claimed it as his own. Luckily, that’s what we put in the crowler so I’ll get to have a taste sometime this week!

It may sound strange but this place reminds me of chilling on the north shore of Hawaii. Maybe it has something to do with ohana’s395 food truck that serves ono poke bowls in the parking lot… How to do it right: Buy some grinds at the food truck, then walk over to June lake brewing, order a beer flight sampler, have a seat and relax. No worries, your food from ohana’s will be brought to you. What more can you ask for than fresh poke and beer? It’s the perfect meal. My husband and I are fairly new to the Sierra mountains and still miss the Hawaiian islands daily but this sweet spot is a real treat for us. We will be back time and time again. You can count on that.

Loved it here! The guys who run the place are so, so nice and helpful. They have a surprisingly large menu. I can speak highly of the Lil Walker IPA, the Hutte Double IPA, and the Sasquachito XPA. Obviously, I like my IPAs, but they had a good variety – stout, ale, saison, etc. I love that they offer the 10 oz size too, so you can try more beers :) They are dog-friendly, which is great. Not only do they have some outdoor seating, but they allow you to bring your doggies inside while you peruse the menu. We will definitely come back when we’re in the area!

I saw«Rock-N-Dirt Milk Stout» on the board, then walked up to the counter. «Hi! What’s the milk stout?» I asked. «You don’t know very much about craft beers, do you?» I asked about milk stout, not an assessment of my craft brew knowledge. Wow. I’m one of those people who is friendly and outgoing and almost always get really friendly responses. But apparently not at June Lake Brewing. «It’s a more cloudy sort of malt brew.» he answered, finally answering my question. I got the brew anyway. It was good. The atmosphere, douchebag aside, was pleasant. You can get food from Ohanas395, and their food is excellent, so I’ll give these guys two stars despite the attitude. Oh, and according to Wikipedia, this is what«milk stout» actually is(and hopefully the next guy who asks this question gets an answer that’s less rude and more detailed): «Milk stout(also called sweet stout or cream stout) is a stout containing lactose, a sugar derived from milk. Because lactose is unfermentable by beer yeast, it adds sweetness, body, and calories to the finished beer.»

I love this place! I will make a huge effort to come back here every time I’m in town! I just attended the 1 year anniversary fest! The beer was amazing and then pairing the beer with the Ohana food truck was even more amazing! I can’t wait to come back! Such an awesome place!
