Scatter Joy Tea Room

A Unilocal friend just reminded me that I had not yet reviewed Scatter Joy, and I love this place! My mother in law and I went in here for a late Mother’s Day tea (I’d been out of the country). We had a Groupon for the teas, and we got sooo much food, we couldn’t even eat it all, and for a very good price too. Sandwiches, sweets, pastries, wow!
Loved the tea too, we had a LOT of tea, and they have great sweet, fruity, vanilla-​y combinations. I think we went through 3 or 4 pots, just the two of us. The service was really friendly too, and I found a cute silver piece in the shop on my way out.
The other person who wrote a review here clearly didn’t read their Groupon. It was VERY obvious from the Groupon page AND the print-​out that you had to make a reservation 24 hours ahead of time so they could have the right food prepared/​stocked/​baked. Perhaps Mary Anne needs to learn how to read and not blame others.

We went in to redeem a groupon deal. We never made it past the front door as the guy working there was rude and said they were busy and then walked off to talk to someone else. Finally someone from the kitchen came out to let us know they were all booked for the next two days. There was people at maybe 2 tables in the place and the rest was empty. They made sure to let us know how unhappy they were with the groupon idea.
Needless too say I got a refund from groupon and I would not recommend this place to anyone! Manners and customer service should be considered mandatory
