I was forced to come here a few years back for a lack of other options and I am not happy about the experience. Since I have better internet, I will share now. This office is always overbooking and so Dr. Kasko rushes through you like there is not enough time. But I had questions it was my first baby. That didn’t matter. I really felt like I was alone with my husband always away for work I just felt lost. It was nice that there were other woman who felt like I did so we bonded together and I ended up getting a midwife. That is totally worth it! I had the baby in my home. I wouldnt take that memory away for anything. do not use this clinic, get a midwife, however, I did have to find out in Palm Desert because I couldnt find one up in Yucca. It costs about $ 2000-$ 4000 depending on your wants and needs… so worth it.

I come here currently for my pregnancy needs. I do not see Dr. Kasko but I do see another doctor who works at this same practice which is Dr. Eppey. I really prefer Dr. Eppey I saw Kasko once and I felt like he rushed it and Dr. Eppey is more informative. They have a small section for pediatrics I do not recommend it… I brought my two year old son here to receive a referral for his autism. We moved to this area from San Diego and needed new referrals. Whoever does the referral work in this office must be clueless or they don’t care. They told me he was referred to Loma Linda but they can’t provide me with a working phone number, and the person who does the referrals(Stephanie) is busy every single time I call. So, my son will be going to Yucca Family Medical instead. Good office for women, horrible office for kids.

The women that work in this office are awesome! So sweet and supportive. The Doc is great too. He has been practicing for a long time and he delivers babies as well. I’m really picky when it comes to Drs… especially the GYnO! Just expect to wait… and wait…

Dr Kasko is overbooked, you have to wait and hour or so, and he gets you in and out fast, once you get see him. No wasting of HIS time… the waiting room looks like the welfare office, with lots of chatter about medi-cal. That said, he has been particularly effective with diagnosis and treatment, prescriptions and follow-up, which is what I see him for. The results are better than the appearance. He is my internist. Yucca valley is the medical end of the world.

This place doesn’t deserve a star in my opinion. I had a miscarriage and when I called the lady on the phone told me I don’t have to come in. Really? After a miscarriage? So anyways I ended up calling the other ob gyn in yucca and some how the manager called me and told me to come in right away. Which I did. I went to see the doctor and I told him I’m not sure if I miscarried I took a picture and asked him if we would like to see to confirm. And he said no it’s okay. Ha and I had to ask him to have an ultrasound to make sure it’s all put. Really? Anyways I ended up getting pregnant and decided to go to advanced women’s healthcare in yucca. Highly recommend

My wife and I have been living in the High Desert for a few years, and in 2013 we had our first child. With not a ton of options, we made the trek out to Joshua Tree and the Morongo Basin Ob Gyn. One of the pluses… it’s right across from the Hi-Desert Medical Center, which does have an excellent, modern delivery room(private rooms!). But that’s a different review. As for Morongo Basin Ob Gyn, the building itself is unimpressive yet clean and well-kept, and the majority nurses are friendly if not a little forced. The clientele is a reflection of the High Desert population; military families, obviously single moms, and more than a few sketchy characters. Case in point… upon leaving an appointment we were forced to wade through the cigarette smoke of a very pregnant woman who had the courtesy to light up right outside the front door. Dr. Kasko, the main figurehead at the office, is knowledgeable and professional but somewhat inattentive. We did not feel a complete connection or personal touch(though this was our first go-around), and then again, we only saw him about two or three times before delivering. While you will get good care from him, don’t expect him to remember your name or face… he’s probably a little too busy to keep such nuances together. Bottom line though: it’s all about Jodi! As the midwife, the majority of our appointments were with her. Not only was she well-informed, super pleasant and well-qualified, she provided that personal touch and connection that helped us evolve from a paranoid, uniformed couple to confident, ecstatic first time parents. Honestly, if we could have had her deliver our child we would have. Aside from that, she was the shining light that got my wife through her first pregnancy, and it is her affable personality and engaging nature that brings us back again for round 2. And, of course, she remembered us by face alone and her recall of personal stories we had shared was on point. If you are lucky enough to get her as your midwife, count your blessings and know that your future child and all the questions that come along with him/her will both receive the best possible, positive results.
