This place was awesome! I went camping at Joshua Tree Lake with my family and friends(a group of 15) and we ended up here for breakfast on our way home. The food was great, the service was great, and the atmopshere was great. Will definitely be back!

Low key, authentic, good vibe for lunch. The chipotle BLT was freakin’ delish. Highly recommend. Good draft list.

I was actually shocked… The food is awesome! I just figured cool old school saloon bar, the food would be something frozen. Nope, I had the chipotle burger, cooked perfect and super tasty and just the right amount of heat. We also did a half rack of ribs with beans, killer combo with the meat falling off the bone. If your traveling through town, this is a must stop destination for some good drinks and food… Staff is also super friendly and prompt, great place!

The best! The karaōke that happens here is out of site! A mix of locals, LA types and military. It’s totally wild. Service stinks. They often mess up the order and there is no vegan food. Boo! BUT go for drinks and the Karaōke show during the weekend. It’s like you’ve been transported into the David Byrnes True Stories movie.

They’re in a perfect location for the National park. The design/atmosphere is awesome but it’s overpriced. It makes sense because with the location. they don’t really have anyone to keep their prices modest. They’re fried pickles tasted great and it was different having them as spears instead of chips but it was $ 8.99 for like 10 pickles. Kinda crazy but all we got was a beer, cocktail and the pickles. It was $ 25.

Extremely slow service at lunch on Sunday. He was very nice but they seemed understaffed. 20 mins to get a server, and almost two hours to get food.

I have no idea why this great bar/restaurant only got an average of 3 and half stars — the food here is amazing, and very affordable(most items are $ 12 and under for huge portions). I recommend any of the burgers, and the sampler plate. Everything is made in-house, including all the deep-fried foods(try the chicken strips and deep-fried pickles — they’re to die for) and salad dressings. The staff are also very friendly and personable. Karaōke night is fun, and the host is super-cool and accommodating. Check out the open mic night on Tues as well, hosted by local legend Teddy Quinn.

We enjoyed the food and service. Definitely will come back when we’re in town. I had fish and chips and liked it! The fish was good and not too much batter.

Good food, friendly staff, easy parking. They are always busy, but no long wait to be served. This is my second favorite place to eat every time I’m in town.

Best burger in town! After a long hike at JT, the Saloon is the perfect spot for a delicious burger! Try the blue cheese burger, yum!

Great place to stop to grab a brew, and a bite to eat. I ordered the Original Saloon Patty Melt, and it was delicious. We came in with a party of 8 people, and they had no problem accommodating us. They have a friendly staff, and the food was out to our table in a reasonable amount of time. 21 and older only.

If you’re in JT come by for a drink or bite to eat at the saloon. Decent selection of Southern California craft beers for the desert area. Live music sets the tone and creates a phone atmosphere to converse with friends. There’s no better feeling than hiking all day and coming in for a drink.

Absolutely love this place. Spent the week in Yucca Valley for BhaktiFest and not being a vegetarian, went off site for meals at least once a day — always to The Joshua Tree Saloon. Aside from the décor — weathered, old Wild West style, which I totally dig — the food is great and they keep the A/C raging which is very welcome after being outside in 100+ degree heat all day. Food: The mineshaft burger is the bomb. Get it. Really. Loved the fish tacos and my friends liked everything they got too. Good portion sizes, and surprisingly, their side salads are made for people who like(and eat) salads — no iceberg lettuce in sight. Warning, if you don’t like raw mushrooms or beets, ask that they be left out because every salad comes with a lot of both. Oh, and definitely order the Sioux City Sassparilla(served ice cold in a classic beer bottle or frosted glass), it’s epic.

JT Saloon, how you’ve changed! In the best way. We went for x-mas dinner and it was semi-slammed, but they dealt with it well. The menu has been expanded a lot beyond the mozzarella sticks and soggy fries they used to have to include burgers(really excellent), salad, inventive sandwiches, and the cocktails have improved immeasurably, as well.(The last time we were there was three years ago.) And they had interesting live music!

Excellent lunch. I love meals that cause you to be full ½ way through but it’s the best food you have had in a long time– so you can’t stop! Lol. The black bean quesadilla was Amazing! Much more than beans… lots of sautéed veggies inside and served w 2 sauces. My fiancé liked the hot wings.(He can’t handle too much heat but was able to eat these) I had the veggie burger«southwest style» on my next visit and it was very very good too. The coleslaw was delicious as well as the fries and beer battered onion rings. My fiancé said the bbq burger was very good as well. The portions are huge and the staff is friendly and attentive. I was disappointed(but understood) that I can’t bring my 12 year old for lunch sometime… 21 and older only unless it’s warm enough to open up the outdoor patio.

But don’t leave your money laying on the bar because the bartenders have a tendency to grab it and put it in the tip jar. Local here and have never had a bad experience here. Always fun. Forever rustic. Good grub good pours. Ask for Christian or Cody and get a free beer tomarow.

Not a bad little greasy spoon for breakfast. Portions are great and menu options are on par with what you’d hope for in a small town café/bar. I had the chili cheese omelette– it was pretty good.

Interesting space. Good bar, booths, community tables. Also basically the only decent bar in town that I could see. Service at the bar was friendly and knowledgeable, but a tad slow. The bartender got distracted by talking to customers a lot. Decent draft selection. Lagunitas IPA was my choice the first night; Mission IPA the second. Menu is solid. I could have selected a whole lot of stuff. Settled on the mahi-mahi tacos and a side salad. Together, that’s a good meal and both are good. Second night was hot wings. Billed as ‘crispy’ but these are more the soggy type. Still, well executed and flavorful. Service was a little more prompt out in a booth, even as the place was getting busy. Open mic night or something. Best place for beer and grub in Joshua Tree.
