Horrible. I had called several times in advance to book our trail ride for my husbands birthday. Upon arrival, the guides were arguing amongst each other, and didn’t even greet us. We were finally settled into our horses, when one guide announced that he wasnt sure if my daughters horse would even survive the trip, as she was so old. We arrived at «Aneroid Lake» with our guide, only to find out that he was 13 years old. The lake wasn’t what I expected, as he was insistent that it was the correct lake, although he had not been there before! My husband and sons wanted to fish, but this lake was boggy and shallow, they caught a minnow or two, then it was time to leave. Upon return, I looked at pictures of Aneroid Lake, and it was a huge beautiful lake with lots of places to fish! The worst part was the owners and our guide continued to argue and lie to us! Two days later they refunded half of our money, but only with rude nasty behavior. Don’t support this business! I am a rider myself and can’t even justify giving them one star.

Want a horse to carry you into the Eagle Caps? This place is it. Partial day trips, Day trips, hunting trips and nature trips. Guides are knowledgeable and horses are well taken care of(this review coming from a horse person). Take your kids on a ½ day or full day ride into the eagle caps, it’s an experience they won’t forget! The Pack Station is south of Wallowa Lake on the main drag. You wont’ miss it, only show in town, well run and worth it.
