Summary: It’s not legendary. I had David Legend recommended to me when I moved to town as one of the more outstanding chinese food restaurants in Jonesboro. I had to admit with a name like Legend, you expect a little more than just mediocre food. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what I received from David Legend. I ordered two different entrees, chicken & broccoli and General Tso, with the intent of keeping one for lunch/dinner the next day. The portions were so small that I had to eat both just to have one meal. Given the prices of the dishes, I can get twice as much from other chinese restaurants for the same price. The food was amazingly tasteless. I was hoping with the small portions there was some kind of flavor punch but it was just like everywhere else… a little worse than some of the places I’ve checked out in town. Bottom line: The food and the portion size are not worth the cost.

Well Legendary would be a No! Great environment, clean, and courteous service. Kudos to them in that department. Food…Meh! The three of us ordered from the dinner special menu for $ 8… Wheres the love? All three dishes tasted the same. Salad bar… well that was sparce(not a romaine/iceberg fan) If there is a next time it will be from the menu… Simply uneventful culinary experience. And we really wanted it to be memorable… Don’t go into DL’S expecting to have your sock knocked off! It is what it is… Meh!

I believe this is the best Asian food in town! Great food and good environment. The menu is 2 sides. Highly recommended you try their Chinese menu, it’s delicious.

First impression. The décor of the place is nice. Nice looking furniture, the place was clean, and looks like an Asian food place. It wasn’t very busy at a 7:45 on a Friday night. We were sat right away and given very nice looking menus. Service The service was good. Prompt. They took our order and wasn’t over bearing at all during my meal. My drink didn’t get low but I also didn’t drink a lot so not a fair test. Food The food selection was broad. I ordered general tso’s chicken. It came out quickly but wasn’t as good as I would have liked it to be. It was a bit soft and no crunch to the breeding. It was actually spicy which is something most places can’t claim but the flavor was a bit mild. Overall I wasn’t pleased with my meal flavor. It wasn’t bad. Just not great. The have great prices though for some items so I I would consider again for lunch.

So we went for my youngest son’s birthday. This boy loves Chinese food and eats several different dishes. This place underwhelmed him to say the least. It was not bad food the food itself was fine but it was not exceptionally great food either. It was more just meh. I won’t say we will not go back but it will not be because of the food. The wait staff was great. The atmosphere was nice. No one told us about a free salad bar though as I’ve read in other reviews so maybe that doesn’t come with dinner. Either way my ten year old listed this as his third favorite place to go in town and mind you we only go places that cook fresh Chinese food because I abhor buffets.

This place was disappointing but mainly because Unilocal said it was great. Table was sticky, dumpling sauce was just soy, miso was brown? And gross. I won’t be back

One review says«delicious soup and spring rolls for free» just the day before this review — I guess that policy has now changed since yesterday. Although«free» salad bar is included there was no soup or spring rolls free. We certainly would have liked to try the free soup and spring rolls, but… The prices are a bit high but they are giving a 20% discount for a limited time which brought them more in line. An appetizer of egg rolls(more like spring rolls as another said) for $ 3 and two main course orders(General Tso’s Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken) was just under $ 20 with the 20% discount. The food was tasty but nothing out of this world. Portions were adequate. The ambience for a Chinese restaurant was weird, with country music playing in the background. Wrong country, though. Service was good and attentive even though our initial request for a small bowl of lemon slices to go with our water stumped our waiter for a bit, as he explained they usually just gave water with only one lemon slice. We prevailed and things did get better after that… Several incarnations back, they used to have Mongolian stir-fry at this location. I really liked that, but I guess it just wasn’t that successful, and neither was the next re-birth, probably due to their high prices. Maybe this one will work out better. I would be wary of several 5-star reviews which appear to have been posted pretty much together by reviewers who have one or only several reviews and pretty much all wonderfully complimentary of, well, EVERYTHING about this place…

I have been here many times due to their food and services are absolutely positive. They provide unlimited free salad bar will be the best you could ever find for sure. They also provide delicious soup and spring rolls for free, which is very nice for people like good soup and rolls. The most important I would like to say about them will be some of their traditional Asian food. I do enjoy good Asian food, and I tried many many Asian restaurants among the states, David Legend definitely will be the top three for me. I recommended many friends to try; and, most of them feedback positively. Moreover, the prices of their dishes are relatively cheaper than other Asian restaurants I have tried. I wouldn’t say their service is the best, but it is good enough for you to enjoy a wonderful dinner. They are worthy to try!

We were traveling by this town and found here through Unilocal. The food tastes really good. Authentic and traditional Chinese flavor. The service was fast. Inside decoration is neat. Also, as usual, price of Chinese food is cheap as well. I am glad to have such a place where i can find great Chinese food with a decent price in such a small town.

Can’t find any other places better than this. Real good traditional Chinese food. Not to mention other Asian foods are good as well. Strongly recommend spicy dishes at this place. Prices are fair enough and they offer large portions.

This place was awful. For one I don’t understand why this Asian restaurant has some white guy name. I was under the impression it was gonna be an American food place. There was NOONE else eating here but my friend and I and we knew that was a bad sign when we walked in. The waiters and hosts were all wearing whatever they wanted, no uniforms, just t-shirts and jeans. Some places do that and that’s okay but it’s not fitting for this place. Then the host asked us if we wanted a table or booth, which we appreciated, but when we said booth he pointed to the opposite end of the restaurant and said«How about there?» And we just had to walk all the way down there and pick a random booth. The waiter did not understand us when we asked if they had mountain dew or sprite. My friend ordered the sweet tea and I ordered Sierra Mist. The waiter wasn’t even sure if they had Sierra Mist and you could tell by his reaction when I asked. But thankfully they did. We waited a while and someone else asked us what we wanted to drink. We told him someone else took our drink order but hadn’t brought them so he went and got them for us. We liked him! So then the other waiter took our food order and that went smoothly. When we got the food we still didn’t have any silverware so we asked the waiter for some. He had no idea what we meant. We repeated it and he said«Oh!» And ran and got us each a single fork. That was it. No napkin or spoon or knife with the fork. The whole time we ate it was a little awkward because there was no one else there, tons of employees, no music overhead or TV on or anything. Just the sounds of us eating. It took forever to get our ticket afterwards but we were glad to get it and leave. Never going back there again.
