The Makai Recreation Center offers weekly classes and has a big space one can rent for private parties and functions. They have Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Music, Theater and Dance lessons here. It’s pretty much your typical base recreation center. Sometimes they have events like Trunk or Treat etc. Staff are nice, place does look a bit worn on the inside and could use a little updating/​upgrading. They do have an indoor stage for performances and events, vending machines inside, couch for parents waiting for the children to get done with lessons, a tv for entertainment and a little play area in a corner.
