I hate to write negative reviews. But after my family’s utterly unsatisfactory experience at this IHOP location recently, I could not help it. Things started off okay. When we arrived one morning for breakfast, we were told there was a 10 minute wait(which was fine and totally normal). After we were seated, a friendly waitress came over to take our beverage orders and came back with them shortly afterwards. She then took our breakfast orders and left for the kitchen. After this, things took a turn for the worse. Having been to this location several times over the past 10 years, we were used to orders coming out fairly quickly, usually in about 10 – 15 minutes but no longer than 20 minutes. We waited for 30 minutes. Our waitress came back to our table to apologize for the delay. «The kitchen is backed up with orders, but your orders should be out really soon.» We were understanding and continued to wait. Another 15 minutes passed by, and we were still waiting. We politely asked our waitress when she was passing by our table if she could check the status of our orders. She did so and came back telling us the same thing, that our orders should be out soon. Another 30 minutes passed by, and no orders. By then, my family and I were really hungry. We saw our waitress and asked what was going on. She said she apologized and asked if we wanted to speak to her manager. We said yes. We waited a little longer. The manager did not stop by our table. We asked another employee if we could speak to the manager. We waited some more. Still, no manager. At this point, we were very frustrated and very hungry. It was absolutely ridiculous. We had waited more than 1 hour and 15 minutes, and we decided it was time to leave and just eat breakfast at home. My family and I got up from our table and headed over to the counter to pay for the two things we had actually received(coffee and apple juice). We told the cashier about our experience. While she didn’t charge us, after we told her how disappointed we were and that we would likely not be returning, her response? «Okay, bye!» This was the worst restaurant experience my family has ever had. It was disappointing not only because we never actually received our breakfast orders but also because we knew the restaurant had not always been this way. It’s hard to say for sure what went wrong(since we were never really given any good reasons), but I suspect it was a product of the new management. Needless to say, this is not the restaurant we once knew, and we will not be going back unless things drastically change.

Always pleasant and prompt service. When coupled with consistent food quality and fair pricing, it makes for a solid family option.

Being a huge ihop fan we unfortunately have one of the most poorly operated ihop restaurants in John’s Creek. Going in on Christmas day with my daughter to have a pleasant brunch I end up with a waitress that has a bah humbug attitude that once again adds to the list of disappointing experiences at this location. Having just remodeled recently you would think the franchisee or corporate would understand the importance of having a staff that can deliver customer service that would compliment the new look? The image may have changed but that does not apply to the service… Waited 5 mins before anyone even acknowledged us. A simple«Hello, be right with you» would have worked for us. Next is a waitress with an attitude who obviously did not want to be there. Took our order brought are food that’s it. Not only did we have to wait for over 20 mins to get our food(they weren’t busy at all)… No refills, asking if everything is ok. When we asked for some condiments you would have thought we were asking her to part the red sea… Finally we waited forever to get our check. I ended up asking the manager and I let her know about the on going poor service experiences. Of course trying to avoid drama on Christmas day. She offers a weak apology and wants to have a debate on how they are trying… how bout just hiring customer friendly staff and creating a culture based on great service. I wish I could say I am «trying to pay my $ 20 bill» every week we go in. Dear Franchisee or corporate look at your Unilocal ratings doesn’t that speak for itself? Thank goodness we have more breakfast brunch choices. Folks if you want good service and good food head to the Egg Harbor down the road it is worth it! Ihop you just lost a weekly $ 20 customer x 50+ weeks per year. Do the math, poor customer service is not going to help you recoup your remodel investment. We have had enough of poor customer service and spending our money with you when we have better choices…

I rarely write reviews – even more rarely negative reviews. My experience at this IHOP was just that bad. I got the chicken fried steak with eggs. It arrived as ordered, but the hash browns were so poorly cooked I lost my appetite after one bite. The eggs were average, and there was this obvious low-quality, chunky, plastic-esque texture to the chicken. For the price, you get a fraction of the value you’d expect. For the fraction of the price, you can get the same quality food at Waffle House(if not better). Don’t dine here under any circumstances.

Poor Service, not so great food. Too many other IHOP’s that can do better. Yes, we were 1 of 2 tables at 6:30PM, and should have received better service but the waitress could care less. I tipped, but when thinking about it, I should have left nothing.

Our entire time at this location, our waitress was distant and rude. Not one person got a refill of our drinks. Instead of asking if anyone needed a refill(and ignoring our request for a refill) she took everyone’s glass! When the waitress took our glasses and plates she insisted on us having a good day repeatedly. Clearly she was trying to get rid of us. We didnt appreciate this in the slightest with the rude behavior that Lashonnt was displaying. This isn’t the first time we’ve had a negligent and unaware server at this IHOP. Me personally, I don’t know how long it will be, if I ever will, be coming back.

The service and quality of food has dramatically declined over the years. If I could give no stars or negative stars, I would. This location is convenient to our home and we love some good old fashion pancakes, however based on my most recent experiences I won’t be frequenting this location any more. This particular time, we placed a to go order. I order the big steak omelette and red velvet pancakes as well as a funny face pancake for my son. Upon arriving home and checking the to go containers… The food looked awful! A big steak omelette is supposed to come with hash browns, green peppers, tomatoes, onions and mushrooms inside. My container had eggs with steak mushrooms and a disgusting amount of cheese inside. No hash browns, peppers, onions or tomatoes. The red velvet pancakes were burnt and supposed to be topped with cream cheese icing. I looked in the container and immediately lost my appetite. In addition, my son’s funny face pancake had no face and just some chocolate chips on top like they were thrown there as an afterthought. Clearly there’s no one managing the quality of food in this establishment. Not the cooks, servers or managers.

Why do waiters not wright down your order? Ours came out wrong. One person is finished before the other’s order is corrected. Then it’s 5 deep at the cash register and the manager is wrighting names one the que list while we all wait to pay. Never again.

Food should be the same for this kind of chain store. BUT you would find different things here. They may need more waiters. I waited 30min for food after I sit down. Everything was cold and the hash brown tasted like uncooked. Drinks didn’t get refilled. Would never come back again.

Good food, literally the entire staff disappeared for more than 15 minutes… The chefs are crazy! Honestly thought one was on drugs… But if that’s how he flows… Let it flow I guess

The atmosphere at this place is awesome and that is the reason why we decide to came here! The server was sick, witch I understand but I still thinking that someone that is sick are not suppose to work with food! They forgot our order so it took us about 30 min to get or food and my waffle wasn’t well coked :(I’ll go back to the Cumming(market place) location, they are fast, clean and they costumer service are always amazing

9 tables need cleaning, one already set up for 4, one for 2, and more than 20 folks are waiting! And no sign of urgency by anyone!

The service was good and the food was decent, ihop is just ihop. It’s like the elderly hang out. nothing funnier than observing the blue hairs squabble over getting their senior citizens discount and who ordered what. My only gripe is extra bacon is $ 4-$ 5 for 3 slices and a glass of orange juice is damn near the price of gallon of orange juice. But I look at the brightside… I order apple juice because o.j. will kill ya! Lmao(get it? Lol)

Terrible experience. Our server was bored and disinterested. She took forever to bring our food and when she did it was stone cold(cold rubbery eggs — yuck!) the youngest member of our party of 5 was made to wait an additional 10 minutes after our cold food was brought out for her pancake to appear. It was the worst service and the food was awful. I feel sure if the server had brought the food out in a timely fashion, while still hot, it may have been better. It was busy yes, however they appeared to have sufficient staff. I would not recommend this place.

I’m so over IHOP, what is going on with you people? On 8÷1÷14 I gave them a 3 star review. Since then I’ve been back 3 times, each time has been 1-star worthy, max. Today was the clincher, if I ever come back it will be kicking and screaming. We come in at 1:30pm and there are about 10 people standing at the front where the register/hostess desk is. There’s no employee to be seen. So we wait(along with everyone else) and wait and wait. Apparently everyone else standing there was still trying to pay for their food so we finally get someone to come seat us. I ordered a «very well-done» ham and cheese omelet. The server wasn’t writing it down so I repeated«very well done» and then had a brief conversation with her about how I cannot stand undercooked eggs, just to make sure she«got it». Shortly thereafter here she comes and hands my food to my dining partner and his food to me. No biggie. Here’s the biggie. This omelet has so many problems I don’t even know where to start. It’s cold. Its COVERED with cold shredded cheese. I am not kidding when I say covered, there was at least a full cup of cold shredded cheese on top of this cold omelet. Ok, no biggie. I can scrape the cheese off and by God I can eat a cold omelet(I was really hungry). I dig into it only to see it is oozing raw egg inside, its not done, much less very well done. It was absolutely, grossly disgusting. Totally lost my appetite and just nibbled on the hashbrowns that came with my meal, they were cold but ok. The next time our server came around I asked her to just take the omelet off our bill, she was very apologetic and agreed. She asked if we wanted anything else and I asked for a to-go coke. She comes back with the check and a coke that has been so overfilled its pouring out of the top and the sides are dripping. It gets better though, she did take my meal off the check but then she CHARGEDMEFORMYHASHBROWNS!!! The ones that CAMEASPARTOFMYMEAL. Really folks, she really did. No one cares here anymore, if they ever did. Today was probably the worst but the last few visits it was undercooked bacon, cold sausage, just bad food. I haven’t seen a manager in this place in a loooonnggg time, I’d venture to say that’s the problem, or at least a contributing factor. It is very obvious in the cleanliness(or the lack thereof) of the place and the lackadaisical employee attitudes that no one cares, there’s no pride in a job well done or happy customers.

SERVICEATIT’S BEST! I recently visited this ihop with a friend on(12÷6÷14), and i’m happy to say that it was one of the greatest resturant experiences i ever had. First off, our waitress Teressa was one of the kindest people i ever met, she took our orders with patience and made great suggestions that we just had to try. Our orders came fairly quickly and was delicious as i’ve come to expect with most ihops. it’s too few times that we arrive somewhere and feel we’re in the right place, so thank you teressa and ihop for that experience.

GOODFOOD, GOODSERVICE, 2⁄4 $$ NOTEXPENSIVE, revamped décor so clean modern updated looking. GOODDEAL Come on people this is IHOP. Basic good breakfast food for reasonable price. You don’t expect gourmet gastro pub molecular food with a sommelier here. It’s quick cheap comfort food(think pancakes crepes omelets steak dinner sandwiches burgers Mac cheese practically everything a kid will eat). or just place for dad to take the kids when you want to give mommy a break without breaking the bank. Yep see a lot of dads with kids here. Usually can get away with breakfast for family of four for $ 25-$ 30 including drinks n tip. Ask for to-go drinks when leaving — they’ll give you a fresh cup of coffee, juice, iced coffee to take away if you ordered it initially as part of your meal… think it’s something like certain drinks have free refills. Servers are good and fast. Never really had a prob with service here. Only thing is, at least at this location, Sunday after church lets out, this place is packed so go early or after 11am Have gone for dinner too when the kids want pancakes for dinner and parents want salad or some sort adult dinner. Yes their dinner menu is very good as well. I’d totally recommend for dinner as well. There’s absolutely no wait for dinner. WOULDGOAGAIN and WOULDDEFINITELYRECOMMEND

I have read some reviews about bad service, I have a thing or two to say in response. Point A: you must not have had Kevin as your server. Came here at around 5:30 on a weekday, Kevin was on top of things. Example of how the service rocks: Kevin the waiter: would you like whipped cream on your French toast? Me: that’s a thing?! Kevin the waiter: well no, but I mean some people like it on their French toast Kevin gets me. Wish more people understood. Point B: another nameless waiter with shaggy hair was so on top of cleaning up our plates. Thank you shaggy hair waiter. Point C: at the end of the day, it’s just about as good as any other IHOP. Except better.

Came here to meet up with a couple of friends in the middle of a weekday. We didn’t make any reservations before, so we had to wait around 15 minutes to seat all of us together. The décor and atmosphere was typical of most IHOP locations, and nothing was out of place. A few minutes later, we ordered food and I chose the chicken-fried steak which I saw on the manager’s special board near the front. The problem with this location is that the wait is LONG. I know that we had a lot of people in my party, but this has happened consistently every time I’ve gone here. It was like 1PM on a weekday, so I didn’t expect it to take that long to cook the food, but I think we waited an hour. Luckily I could just talk to friends, but imagine waiting(probably less than an hour) alone. The food was normal of an IHOP joint. The steak was crispy and cooked well, but the gravy had a jello-like texture and was cold when it was served to me. I normally expect gravy to have a runny consistency, so it really disappointed me. I wish the hashbrowns were crispy, but were instead a bit soggy. The sunny-side up egg was a little overcooked, and some of the yolk had already hardened. Overall the food was a bit bland for me, so I ended up drenching my plate with tabasco sauce to add more flavor. Yeah I shouldn’t expect much from a chain restaurant. I would’ve given this location 4 stars if it weren’t for the long wait. I know I had a large group, but the wait was long even when I had less people. The food’s okay and like all restaurants out there.

We came here after the 4pm service on Christmas Eve. The waitress that we had was outstanding, despite bring exhausted from working all day. The food is typical IHOP food, but it’s the kindness and service that makes this location stand out. I personally really like the menu here because everyone can find something that they like. We will be back soon and hope to make coming on Christmas Eve a new family tradition!
