Yocasta’s Hair Salon

this place is awful. went in about a week ago and messed my haircut up pretty bad. she didnt listen to a thing i asked for and she would try and rebuttal by saying, «oh i thought you said this» when i clearly didnt. she did apologize and claimed that there would be no more mistakes but of course that wasnt the case.
its also a 20 dollar minimum on a credit card and there’s an additional transaction fee. never coming here again. and from the look of the lack of reviews, im sure not a lot of people come here anyways. was pretty awful.

Favorite hair salon in the area, great customer service, fast, and great location. the owner is amazing very nice, friendly and polite, never had a bad experience with my hair in this salon. I would recommend this salon to everyone.

I love this place for a quick blow-​out or roller set. For chemical treatments or color I go to a high-​end salon in NYC that I cannot afford on a weekly basis. So, I have been looking for a local spot for a quick deep condition and roller set.
I have tried a few places, but intend to make this my mainstay. They are super gentle with your hair and after a single visit, I walked out with hair that was visabiy softer, shinier and healthier. I do not get blowouts, but I have seen them do a few and they really put the health of the clients hair FIRST. They take time to detangle the client’s hair using different size combs before setting or blowing it. Also, they are also SUPER nice and professional, which means a lot to me. There is nothing I hate more than going into one of these local spots and having to deal with ghetto behavior.

If you’re in Jersey City and want to get your hair done, there’s no place better than Yocasta’s. Yocasta is one of the friendliest persons you will ever meet. She takes her time and does her work patiently. She’ll listen to you and she’ll remember what you get done, so the next time «the usual» is all you need to tell her.
Oh, and did I mention that the prices are very reasonable?
