I have to say they have the best meatballs in the area hands down. The only thing is I wish the price was just a little better because its $ 4 for 2 meatballs. I would think $ 3 is more fair if anything. Never disappointed at the quality of the food.

Visited today around 11:30am with my wife. Had a panini with eggplant and mozzarella and a bowl of lasagna soup — very good. My wife liked the panini and the taste of the soup but thought the broth of the soup could have thicker. But her favorite soups are Pea and New England Clam Chowder so it seems it’s just her preference. I saw an order going to another table of pancakes with blueberries. The blueberries were fresh — not the kind that is canned like Comstock. My first thought was I will be back tomorrow for breakfast but found out they are closed Sundays. Will be back again for breakfast and those blueberry pancakes. Prices are reasonable and portions are just right. For 2 to 3 dollars more you can get fresh food as oppose to fast food. I was surprised of the many selections. You can even get a hamburger with fries. Definitely a place to go for lunch.

I’ve been there with four people on two occasions. This is the greatest place on earth in the Jersey City/Hoboken area. I’ve had breakfast and lunch there and the food is fantastic. The omelets, waffles, french toast, pancakes and bagel/breakfast sandwiches are exceptional. For lunch the hot specials, panini’s, eggplant, lasagna and daily homemade soups are fantastic. I would highly recommend you try this place.

If you have not been to Patsey’s and live in the JC Heights, you need to move getting there to the top of your«to do» list. I’m embarrassed to admit that today was the first time I actually sat down and ate(breakfast served all day), but have been a fan of their food for a while. They receive 5 stars on all levels… Food, Customer Service and Atmosphere. Everything is fresh, tasty and served with a smile… Please support this gem in the Jersey City Heights!

Im writing this on behalf of my husband since he doesn’t have an account, but I just heard an earful and want to let Patsey’s know how they can do better. Especially since they are a small place not on the busiest street that should hope to keep local and regular customers. He asks for a taylor ham egg and cheese on an everything bagel. The lady at the counter tells him its an upcharge $ 1.00 for the bagel and .50c for cheese. UGH, add it into the cost but please do not sit and nickel and dime me. Seriously, an extra buck for a bagel? So he gets it on a roll. Asks for salt pepper ketchup and confirmed the order 3 times. No one else was in the store. Why do you keep asking? Got home only to find a tiny sandwich and no salt pepper ketchup… again, after its been confirmed more than it needed to be. Going to Wonder Bagels once they open. Not impressed at all with Patseys.

Love this place. Walked by the other day and decided to give it a try and so glad I did. The veggie panini was fabulous and they had homemade mozzarella which is something very few restaurants in the area have, unless you shlep to Vitos or Fiores in Hoboken. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, food comes out quick. I’ll be back for sure.

Been here 3 times since I’ve known about this place. The food is so good. They have great selection of specials. The lemon chicken is awesome! So is the vodka sauce. The staff is friendly and welcoming. One of my new favorite places.

Cute little café with great food. I stopped here with a friend one morning for breakfast. The place is a little small but they have a few tables and a menu with lots to choose from. I opted for two eggs, sunny side up, homefries, and toast — my breakfast go-to. It was very good, along with the caprese salad. Would definitely drop by again!

I work a few blocks from Patsey’s Italian American Bistro, and have been wanting to try this place out for a few reasons: 1) there are not many healthy choices in the area; 2) having another option other than Dominican and Chinese food is wonderful(don’t get me wrong I like Dominican & Chinese Food). Breakfast food in this area is very challenging by foot, and with all the recent information about McDonald’s, who really wants to eat there? So when I walked by this new establishment one day I was hopeful and excited. One day I walked in and saw how nice looking the place was, and was well pleased with the simple yet warm décor, and the people were really pleasant. That day I didn’t order anything because i was not hungry. So yesterday, I was running late to work and had to take a bus. At about 10 minutes away from Patsey’s, I called and ordered the Meat Lovers Omelet. The woman on the phone tells me it will take 10 –15 minutes. I thought to myself«15 minutes to make an omelet? huh?». I start thinking about all the possible scenarios as to «why & how it takes 15 minutes to make an(expletive with an M.F.‘ing) omelet»? I decide to go to my Job, and open up instead, then rush over there and pick up my food. When I get there(which is about 20 minutes later after the initial call) I tell the woman there that I’m there for a pick-up order. She says to me they are still working on it. Now I’m mad. I got work to do. About 2 minutes later, I hear eggs being beaten! WHATTT! Unbelievable! At this point I’m hungry, irritated, coffee-less and I need to get back to work, STAT! But I’m starving! SO I wait. While I wait they apologize for the delay several times. I’m trying my best not to put the militant NOI stare on at the staff. Eventually I get my food, and they comp me a large coffee. The food is the best breakfast I’ve had in the JC Heights(except for brunch at The Corkscrew Bar & Grill). A really delicious Meat Lover’s Omelet with really good Home Fried Potatoes(like your mom used to make). Super Tasty, and not greasy, which is a new characteristic for food in this area. They are new, so I’m sure they have to work out the kinks, and who knows why it took them so long to make eggs… maybe it was the potatoes. I’ll try them again soon, and I really hope my experience causes me to give them more stars. This area of Jersey City needs a place with consistent good food and service.

I had a delicious vegetable panini and my friend loved her grilled chicken wrap. I can’t wait to try their breakfast food!

I have stopped in for take out for breakfast and for dinner and liked both meals. Huge portions for pasta, I had the spaghetti puttanesca which was pretty tasty, and served with bread and a nice grated Parmesan cheese on the side. This portion was large enough to share for under $ 9.00. Also saw the Pena alla vodka and it looked really good, but I didn’t try it because it was made with pancetta. I liked the puttanesca dish from Patseys better than from Pizza Masters or Gino’s. For the breakfast I tried the garden omelette, which was $ 8.00 and served with hash browns and toast. The omelette was really good, lots of fresh veggies and it had a really good sharpe provolone cheese, way better than you normally find in an omelette. The coffee was also pretty good. Compared to other breakfast spots in the heights, I like Patseys better than Tommys because it’s less greasy and better than Coach House because it’s closer and the ingredients are a little better. Overall great addition to the Heights, good portions, tasty, at a price point in line with other neighborhood restaurants. The only downside to this place is that it closes at 6PM and no delivery.

Cannot complain, by far one of the greatest places in the heights to get breakfast! Haven’t tried their lunch yet, but I’m sure it’s as delicious as their French Toast!
