This place is really good if your looking for real authentic food. Anything I have gotten was really good and reasonably priced. This is my go to place when I’m in the area.

Was craving authentic Dominican food… Had some simple plain white rice and black beans with a chicken empanada. Very flavorful and will definitely be going back soon!

I just ran in grabbed a Cuban sandwich and ate it at the park. For the past week the sandwich has been calling my name. Will update 2nd time around.

I had the Gusto Cuban sandwich and it was a 6 out of 10. It was just a sandwich by itself with no side for $ 5.99. And the workers are rude and loud. They were yelling like if it was a bar and not there business. If you come here I would recommend for you to take your food to go.

There is no surprise that this restaurant is branching out. They make delicious rotisserie chicken, fried plantains, rice and beans. The garlic flavored sauce they give you for the chicken is so flavorful too. And the quality of their food is consistent… they don’t have off-days like so many other small restaurants in that area. Its all good, all the time. They don’t speak English so well but they make up for that with friendliness and good food. Don’t miss it when you’re in the area.

Solid Latin food! I’ve been coming here for awhile and I’m never disappointed. I must admit, I do like the Mac and Cheese although it’s a little salty. I’ve had the stew chicken, the roasted chicken and empanadas. I need to try a beef dish. It’s very, very affordable. You will definitely have leftovers. There is always a variety of food to choose from.

Their platters are amazing! Really seasoned and the portions are huge for the price you pay. The only bad thing is that you have to order early from this place or else the good food runs out.

Not all beans are the same. What’s in these? Olives? I have no idea but it works well. The chicken was nicely flavored. Maybe in a perfect world it would be juicier. This was a massive platter for $ 8. I like the tamarind juice.

Mac n Cheese is a meal in itself. I’m done. Got the shredded chicken n black rice. Saving it for Dinner ;) Lots of different foods to choose and great prices. You can sit in and it’s not sweltering hot inside.

I was walking around checking out the neighborhood cuz I might move here soon. We ordered the lunch special with the ribs. The rice and beans was good and the ribs was delicious. We also had an empanada but that was just so so.

This is one of the better Hispanic food restaurants in Jersey City. There food is usually fresh and good especially around lunch time. I like there white rice and red beans and there platano maduro. The beef stew is pretty good to. If you want some good home cooked Hispanic food and good service come here…

Now this is THEBEST Dominican(& Latino for that matter) food spots in Jersey City! And boy do you get your money’s worth. The pollo asado is out of this world! Be sure to ask for the homemade mojo that is just as delicious. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the mood for a «homecooked» meal. ps: was really impressed with their Sopa de Pollo… reminded me of my Mom’s famous chicken soup. This place is a go!
