This place is OK. If you’re lookin. For a quick cheap Chinese choice this is your spot. They offer pick up, delivery or eat in. Everything is super cheap and pretty tasty. If possible I would stick with vegetarian choices as most of the meat doesn’t seem great quality. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small and dark so if you’re looking for a cute spot to eat this is not it. Best to pick up or get delivery. The staff is friendly and helpful and are clear when taking your order. The meals are pretty large for the price. I ate the vegetable fried rice, pork dumplings and chicken and broccoli. The fried rice is good but I wish they added some real Veggies to it. The pork dumplings were really tasty and was my favorite part about the meal.

Found the General tso chicken a lot to be desired, from the tough exterior housing mysterious pieces of chicken tasting like like cardboard and there were also prices of inedible plastic sticking to the glaze. The rice was ok, lack of hot sauce when specifically asked for extra. Chow mein wasn’t what I expected. I was expecting Panfa express style chow mein, all I got were sprouts and other vegetable no crispy noodles. I thought the difference between chow Leon and Lo mein was the dryness of the noodle whereas lo mein in a little bit too saucy. I was severely mistake for assuming chowmein to be like Panda Express. Lo mein is just too saucy. Chow mein here is just just A bunch of plain crunchy vegetables with steamed Chicken. Too bad a Panda Express is t near by.

Did I forget to hit the send key? I thought I reviewed Food King. This is a «local five stars,» so my readers in Rhode Island don’t need to visit. The quality is solid for the takeout genre for basics like Singapore rice noodles and the prices are below average. I’ve ventured to the Thai section of the menu a couple of times for drunken noodles, which I liked.

By far the best Chinese take out in JC. The wonton soup, boneless ribs, and any chicken dish has always been great. The prices are very reasonable as well, and the woman at the counter is always very friendly and helpful. My go to for Chinese.

So happy to find a good Chinese delivery place in the area. Great call on the Crispy Shrimp.

We had a big order handled quickly in 20 minutes, and all dishes were good. The Pad Thai was innovative and tasty(though not too spicy), the egg roll well-stuffed with a flaky wrapper, and the crinkle-cut French fries were also decent! Polite and pleasant staff. Thanks for making our new years’ eve easy and affordable!

Best Chinese takeout in Jersey City! The prices are very low, the service is good, and the food is fresh and tasty. The restaurant is a bit shabby looking from the outside, but once you go inside, you can’t help but notice that the mirrors, floor, and kitchen are spotless.

We got the hot basil noodles and the drunken noodles with egg roles. The egg roles we’re really good and I personally loved the drunken noodles. The hot basil noodles were also really good but we’re very spicy. We picked up our food and it was ready quickly and on time

4.25÷5 — rounding to a five since they are very friendly there, consistently fast hot delivery, very reasonable prices, and fares quite well in comparison to other restaurants in JC(i.e., this is my favorite restaurant in JC) 4.5÷5 — Crispy Shrimp(my favorite thing there) 4.25÷5 — boneless bbq ribs(even a small portion is pretty filling — it’s like they just have the pork(?) ribs scraped off the bone with tons of flavor — a solid app) 4⁄5 — Fried Pork Dumplings(they have vegetable ones too but they aren’t as good since the vegetables aren’t flavorful/pickled at all) 5⁄5 — service/delivery speed 3.5÷5 — Regular chinese food like sesame chicken, etc. — the breading/batter on their chicken just isn’t quite ideal though it’s not bad, just average quality(that said, I will still order general tso’s but just not as often as crispy shrimp — though the sesame beef is pretty good for a change up) ++ big plus for always having diet ginger ale available — my favorite soda :(that they are not open on sundays though :(((((((( Overall, it seems like the thai food is better than the chinese(though I like their dumplings) If you order over some threshold($ 10 or $ 15?) you get a free soda I think — just be sure to specify what you want since they forget to ask you for delivery orders and usually just bundle a pepsi if you don’t say anything The best bet for asian/americanized food in JC

Really Really Really excellent Chinese/Thai food. Very fresh, have been going to this place weekly for over 5 years. Sometimes Ill venture out and try other spots in the JC heights/hoboken/jc area and I am always dissapointed. A big thing for me is fresh oil for frying. Some places use old oil and you can always taste it in the fried chicken. Here the chicken is always crispy and absolutely delicious. I would also recommended the pineapple fried rice which comes with chicken and huge pieces of shrimp for less than $ 9! Its better(and cheaper) than ANY Thai place in JC. Tip: If you like spicy food make sure to ask them to make your dish extra extra spicy. Unlike other places they will actually bring the heat! Only negatives are $ 10 credit minimum(Bank of america across the street so not a huge deal), also they dont have very late hours and they are closed on sundays :(

Our go to place when we’re too lazy to cook or go out. Delivery is extremely quick, often less then 20 – 25 minutes. Prices are crazy cheap, 20 bucks for 2 entrees including tip. We’ve tried several dishes and they’re all above average for an American Chinese restaurant. The lady who answers the phone is always pleasant which is very different from most Chinese restaurants.

The best Chinese take out place in JC. I’ve had it three times now and not disappointed. The General Tso Shrimp with brown rice… YUM! My egg roll was overly greasy however. Not like normal egg roll grease; these are dripping.

Fast, delicious, cheap Chinese food within walking distance to my home. What more could I ask for? This is the place to go if you are craving American style Chinese food: chicken wings, fried rice, General Tso’s, you get the idea.

Not great. Passable Chinese food. Kellogg is still the reigning champ. Definitely not cheap either. Very nice staff and quick service.

Food King is like your comfort blanket. A little dingy but you wouldn’t have it any other way. I love their food here. It’s a little greasy, cheap and fills my Americanized chinese food craving. But my favorite thing about Food King? The chick that works the counter is so nice! Annnnd their delivery is fast! Thank you, Food King, for always joining me when I Netflix binged.

It’s not fancy and it’s not remarkable. But, it’s cheap and solid American Chinese and sometimes that’s all that you ever really want. This is the first choice for take-out. It’s the first choice when I want to fulfill my hankerings for beef and broccoli with eggroll on the side. Good eggrolls, too.

as far as cheap Chinese takeout goes, this place is what you would expected it to be. Unfortunately for Downtown JC, it’s about as good as I’ve found in the area.

I’m torn here. This is a classic americanized take out/delivery Chinese place. Some of their stuff is solid. Spare ribs are good, wonton soup is nice, hot and sour soup is spicy and flavorful. On the other hand, the dumplings are super doughy, not much flavor inside of them. General Tso’s chicken is super deep fried and chewy, with a really sweet sauce, no spice and barely any chicken inside. Noodles are standard and somewhat greasy. At the end of the day, the price is right. 20 bucks will get you enough food to stuff two hungry adults. When I have that craving for American style chinese food I’ll order here. Otherwise I’ll pass.
